Amazing food with excellent service

Extraordinary food, prepared and served with a lot of love. In addition to meat and fish, there are also many vegan options that are also super creative and delicious. The staff is extremely friendly and is there for the guests with passion. The restaurant is very nicely decorated inside and there are a few tables outside (unfortunately right on the street). All desserts are homemade, including ice cream and sorbets.

We received a warm welcome, friendly service and delicious food. The chef personally came to me twice to present a new sauce and ask how it tasted. We recommend the restaurant!

We just had an excellent dinner here. The place is decorated with great taste, the dishes are delicious and with very rich products. Above all, we want to highlight Clara, who has taken great care of us. I hope many more people find this restaurant on their way through Lucerne and its surroundings.

Excellent welcome by the staff, in this case a young lady who spoke French, - a plus for us, - taking our wet clothes, She kindly translated the dishes offered on the menu for us. The cuisine was simply excellent, with the discovery of new flavors! A very very good address. Our only regret is that the next day was their day off and we couldn't try any other dishes! Bravo for the excellence of the succulent homemade dishes and desserts

We stopped by for coffee and dessert on our way to Lucerne. The brownies with white chocolate ice cream was lovely and the staff were really friendly.

We had an amazing lunch here to celebrate my friend’s birthday 🎂 Food was excellent, bright and modern decor, chill atmosphere and helpful staff who even decorated the table especially and brought us a surprise birthday cake for dessert. Also lots of vegan options and dog friendly. Thanks for a lovely experience!

The place was a sudden marvel we discovered by accident at the end of our day hike. And damn we weren't disappointed. Each dish was so finely done and full of flavour that I personally couldn't believe it. I even decided to order one more dish after we ate as a hedonistic bonus. Besides the interior of the place was very stylish with materials of a high quality. Without any doubt, we are coming back again.

I had an amazing experience. The service was professional and they have a large option for meatless options (vegetarian and even vegan). I had the seasonal salad with house dressing which was very unique and as a main the homemade Tagliatelle with Mushroom-Cream sauce and „Belper Knolle“. This was one of the best Tagliatelle I ever had so far.

Highly recommended! The food is absolutely top, and the vegan dishes are also unique and incredibly good. We have rarely eaten so well! Taking a dog wasn't a problem either, we even got water for him without asking and the staff was very attentive. We'd love to come back :)

We spent a wonderful evening at Hyg. The food is very varied and tastes great, the wine selection and recommendation was excellent. Particularly worthy of mention is the friendly and flexible Hyg team, so we were able to enjoy the last late summer evening outside even when the temperatures were slightly cooler. We would like to come back soon.

Last night we had dinner for the first time at Hyg. We saw it two weeks ago when we passed by and it caught our attention for its atmosphere, the decoration and in general for the good vibes that could be seen from the outside. At the end of the dinner we were fascinated by the tasty food they prepare in their kitchen (we ordered the fish soup, the trout loins, the pasta with burrata and lime, and the sourdough bread with spiced oil and butter), and very especially for the excellent service we received. Clara was responsible for making our first experience at Hyg unforgettable and thanks to her, we already have two loyal customers who will return every time they want to eat well, in a very cool Scandinavian atmosphere and with a staff that strives to provide an excellent service. customer experience. Go to this restaurant if you're in the area. The food is fantastic and the service staff are knowledgeable and super friendly. They even have an extensive vegan menu. We only wish we'd discovered this place before our last night in the area and could have gone more than once. We will definitely return next time!

Even though the restaurant was open and half empty, we weren't served and were sent away because they apparently didn't have enough staff. We didn't have any great demands, just drink a glass of wine...

Delicious food with a nice selection of vegetarian dishes combined with excellent service. Toilets clean. We noticed how attentive the staff were and how they were able to give us little joys. Thank you for the good time with you.

Simply wonderful from start to finish. Even as a vegetarian you can eat excellently and always have new delicacies on the menu. The drinks are also special and very tasty.

What an unexpected gem in the middle of Weggis. Beautiful restaurant with outstanding modern cooking. Really exciting and accomplished cooking...just excellent. But even better than the food was the service. 3 separate staff looked after us at different times and all of them were just super knowledgeable, friendly and clearly loved what they do. This is a rare find nowadays and made the whole experience even better. Well done to the entire team!!! Oh, and extra points for a great children's menu that has actually decent food and not just pasta and chips. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

We have never felt so welcome in a restaurant - what an experience! We were served by different waiters and they all seemed to enjoy their jobs - friendly, with a smile on their faces and extremely attentive and calm despite the restaurant being fully booked. This, as well as the excellent food, made for the best restaurant visit we have ever experienced. Yes, we were almost sad when we left the restaurant... We will come back - thank you very much!

Such a great experience, we found it randomly on google while doing a short trip in Weggis. I got impressed by the wine list and it's fair prices. But that is only when we came that we decided that we would have to come once more (during our short trip) to try as many things on the menu. Great food & service in a splendid location. Will definitely be back!

Wow!!! Absolute discovery!! Star cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere. You can eat in many highly decorated restaurants around Lake Lucerne. The HYG has something that the others don't have. An incredibly inviting atmosphere with friendly service, top wines, warm-hearted hosts and great cuisine. The restaurant and terrace are super cozy and the people who work here make this restaurant an absolute must visit! This is how gastronomy should be!! Bravo!! We look forward to coming back very soon!!

My wife and I live in Florence, Italy, and the food there lacks care and attention to detail. This place is the opposite. Very high quality. Concern for the details of the environment, service, and food. Will come here every time we are in Switzerland. Among the most delightful experiences I’ve had in a while.

We had dinner on the first evening after having reserved in this restaurant with a very friendly atmosphere and welcome. We were very well received by a waitress who pampered us all evening and who spoke French. The dishes are delicious: burger for the first evening. We went back the next day, without having booked, since Google did not allow it. We had the same welcome and the same service. Once again, delicious meal: homemade gnocchi and bagel. We feasted. The icing on the cake: the homemade ice cream, not photographed too quickly eaten 😂 special mention for the chocolate ice cream, wonderful. Thank you for everything 😘 I highly recommend!

A more unique than rare experience, the hospitality and professionalism of the staff make you feel at home as soon as you walk through the front door. A welcoming and modern environment that recalls the nature that surrounds the city. The dishes on the menu represent an explosion of perfectly balanced flavours, without forgetting attention to detail. Fresh and excellent quality products. Would I recommend it? ABSOLUTELY YES! Whether you are staying in Weggis, in Lucerne or surroundings, the HYG restaurant is definitely worth the detour….it’s a MUST ! I have found this restaurant by chance, looking at the best rated culinary spots of the region, and I have to say, I was blown away by the quality of the food and service, as well as by the beauty of the location. The dishes are very creative in terms of taste and presentation, and only made with fresh local ingredients. I am still dreaming of the vegetable curry and the amazing lime-coconut rice I have eaten there….it was a delight ! The staff was also very attentive and pleasant, without mentioning that the Chef even came at the end to greet and discuss with us. It was a memorable experience. Thanks to the team for the warm welcome! It’s definitely food for the soul made with lots of love…:)

Service was perfect and the cook even stopped by the table to ask how everything was. Could not have asked for better service from the staff. Food was excellent and not too expensive for the area. The menu and staff were very accommodating for my wife, who is a vegan, and both dishes were perfect.

This was a semi-gastronomy experience that we happened upon on accident and as a vegan. After trying highly rated vegan fare around the world, I can say that this meal was phenomenal. We started with olives and bread that had the most beautiful spices, crunch, and chewiness. We had an IPA from Denmark to elevate the flavors and quench the thirst from a SUP session on the lake. Then for the main, I had the grilled beefsteak tomato with a zucchini flower stuffed with crispy risotto and surrounded by beautiful mushrooms and tomatoes. The textures and flavors were provocative. The entire experience was rounded out with a scoop of house made chocolate sorbet accompanied by the delightful chef and waitstaff stopping by for a chat. Seriously, some of the best customer service we have ever had. Go here. Eat good food. Enjoy the hygge

Amazing bistro style food in center of Weggis. Full of taste and really friendly service crew. Not sure if they have parking, but we parked down the street.

Comfortable vibe with inviting design; friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable service; good variety of fresh and well-prepared foods with balanced but interesting flavors and textures. We came twice during our four-day stay in Weggis. 😊The carrot cake with sour cream ice cream was the best dessert we tasted on our vacation here!

We enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Hyg. The menu features sophisticated dishes that leave nothing to be desired, both visually and in terms of taste. You can tell how much love goes into the individual dishes. The service was very accommodating, we would definitely be happy to come back! :-)

I wish I could put more stars to this amazing place and most of all-it's people. We have got a very warm welcome, attention to all food limitations due to allergies great service from lovely Julia. But that's not it. During our time at Hyg, an insane thunder came with leaving no chance for the guests to leave the place, it was pouring rain and lightning! The owners of the place were generous and kind to offer the guests a ride to their destinations! Huge thank you, Lukas! Can't recommend this place enough, thank you, Hug! Had our last night dinner in our week long holiday in Weggis. Highly recommend if you are in the area! The food and the service are faultless! Everything is great. A special shout out to Lucas who went above and beyond. He gave us a lift to the bus station when we were stuck in the storm.

Although the restaurant just misses the view of the lake, the view of the food is much better. The restaurant offers a pleasant Nordic, perhaps a bit cool but still cozy atmosphere. So ideal for hot summer months. We had mackerel salad with kiwi sorbet and falafel with beetroot (excellent combinations) and fried chicken with kimchi and mussels with fries. It may sound less spectacular than it is, but the dishes are harmoniously coordinated with unusual ingredients. The lightly pickled mackerel was complemented with watercress, spring onions and a sorbet with Weggisser kiwi. The falafels with beetroot were served with an excellent herb dip and the crispy fried chicken was marinated with a Korean breading. The mussels were prepared in white wine broth with probably parsley oil. Price-wise, it's a little more expensive than perhaps other restaurants in the area. Nevertheless, it is worth expanding the budget a little. You are in good hands there and you get impeccable service and excellent cuisine.

Tasty, fresh food and great flavor combinations. I ate salmon for the main course and carrot cake for the dessert and both were delicious. Cosy atmosphere and excellent service. Warm recommendations!

Overall enthusiastic: the restaurant looks very inviting from the outside. Inside it is very tastefully and harmoniously furnished. We stayed at HYG several times during our stay in Weggis and were never disappointed. The food was extremely good, fresh and sometimes very unusual. It was also very attractively presented. The qualified service staff were always very attentive, friendly and unobtrusive. Clear recommendation!

We had an absolutely amazing evening at the HYG Restaurant. Here you can still find real craftsmanship combined with incomparable creativity on the plate. The service is modern, friendly, courteous, charming and not at all pushy, which creates a great atmosphere. The kitchen presents unconventional dishes that are convincing across the board. Here, regional specialties get an international, creative twist. The variety on the menu left nothing to be desired and the price-performance ratio is second to none. The HYG is worth every visit. We will be back :)

Satisfied with the atmosphere and friendly service. As the food comes out one by one, satisfaction decreases. The pasta is covered in sauce and the fish is not seasoned and tasteless.

A relaxed little spot in the heart of Weggis, close to the lakeside. We took the opportunity to test the vegan menu, and it was really delicious (as well as the Tatar beef!). The team is friendly and very attentive to customer needs. A place not to be missed!

This restaurants stands out in all categories, not only in Weggis and the surroundings, but if you ask me - it is better than any of the hyped restaurants in Zurich or Lucerne. The food is a nice mix between classics and newer dishes ( I love the Moules Frites- you can’t get that kind of moules outside of Belgium normally if you ask me…). The service is nice, it is kind of surprising and refreshing to see the calm, cool and friendly staff. Somehow this places feels like it has been picked out of a west coast, chill restaurants mixed with Scandinavian effort less style and approach but you get that serious ‘ high caliber chef ‘ kind of food. I like to go there to have a drink, a coffee and cake or dinner, brunch… Just take note of the opening hours so you don’t drive over there and it is closed..(Been there, done that) I am a picky person but this is one of my favorites and top of the list for me in Switzerland. Well worth a drive or the beautiful boat ride from Lucerne.

Desirable coffee.. nice atmosphere. I only had a coffee...but there is also food...right by the lake so you can combine it with a walk.

The best restaurant between Lucerne and Schwyz. I don't understand why it isn't always completely full. Modern high-end hipster cuisine at its best. Prepared with perfection in detail. Favorites: Korean Spicy Chicken, fries with avocado or cheddar, salad. It's not cheap but for the price you can only get worse food elsewhere. Therefore absolutely recommended.

We love Denmark and the typical hygge feeling there. A visit to HYG, Weggis sums up this pleasant and homely atmosphere. From the interior design, the color concept to the very friendly team, the excellent wine list and the food where the product quality is excellent, nothing is left to be desired! Again any time!

The food is very varied and of the highest quality - definitely at a star level. The furnishings are very lovingly and modernly designed and offer a feel-good factor as soon as you enter. The staff is extremely friendly and very attentive. Eating out is fun! We will definitely come back here the next time we visit the area.

Very nicely decorated, nice team and good food

Superb place with a very pleasant atmosphere. A comfortable and cozy sofa area and a very pleasant restaurant area as well. We ate an extraordinary vitello tonato, really delicious!!! The hamburger suite was good (the meat could have been more cooked and grilled) and the saltimbocca very good but not very filling. We will go back, I recommend this place!!!
