On Friday we purchased two pieces of furniture and wanted to assemble them over the weekend, but one piece of furniture was missing the complete assembly kit. We then contacted IKEA by phone. The lady on the other end of the line wasn't very helpful and was very hesitant to suggest a solution. When we asked for the parts to be sent to us by post, we were told "this will take 15 days",... hello, where do we live?? So we had no choice but to drive back to St. Gallen and get the missing parts... Lost time about three hours (!). We will avoid this furniture store in the future. Good customer service is the basis for high customer satisfaction... IKEA still has a lot to learn here...

Disappointing experience at IKEA As a long-time customer who last visited IKEA about 10 years ago, I am extremely disappointed by the greatly reduced quality and the disorganized purchasing process. The chaos of sourcing products, including the need to purchase certain parts separately and novel storage methods, frustrated me. What is particularly annoying is the fact that sofas that are presented as exhibition pieces are not available for immediate delivery but have a waiting period of three months. In comparison, my purchase of a sofa from "LIPO" for 800 francs was a real relief. The top quality and the effortless assembly within just two minutes exceeded my expectations and left the stress of the annoying screwdriver at IKEA far behind.

With the above email you are informing me that my order has been successfully delivered. That's not true! So far only 1 item has been delivered: 40399314 KLIPPAN N So2 BOMSTAD Black The 2nd part of the delivery was shown for today, January 2nd, 2024, 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. The delivery company wanted to deposit the remaining items without assembly, which I didn't could accept. I then received a telephone from the office saying that the assembly would be done separately. When I asked when the mechanic would come, I received no answer. The handling of my order including delivery and assembly is incomprehensible, unprofessional and absolutely unacceptable. 1. The order is split into 2 partial deliveries, which was not agreed upon. 2. The 2nd partial delivery was first displayed on Wed 03/01/24 and then on Tue 02/01/24, 08:00-10:00 a.m. On the delivery day I get a phone saying delivery is at 7:30am will take place. On site, the delivery company wanted to deposit the packages without assembly, which I refused. I said that I expected delivery and assembly at the same time. 3. Phone call from office saying assembly is separate from delivery. The question of when the mechanic would come remained unanswered...😡👎

Not really suitable for furniture shopping with larger vehicles. Receiving goods behind a barrier in the basement. The barrier only opens after registration. Extremely unfriendly employee when receiving goods. You wait maybe 20 minutes deep underground until the coffee break is over and someone opens the barrier for you. Zero willingness to help. I don't know any of this from the other Ikea locations. A pity. I actually like shopping at Ikea, just not in St. Gallen.

Unfortunately, my visit to the IKEA store was disappointing, mainly due to the unfriendly staff. While the product selection and store design met usual IKEA standards, customer service was well below expectations. The employees seemed disinterested and unhelpful, which significantly detracted from the shopping experience. Questions about products were answered reluctantly and there was little effort to assist in finding items. I hope that the situation will improve in the future.

Did a little shopping from a neighboring country and purchased a mattress, unfortunately after several weeks it was discovered that the mattress did not unfold to the size stated on the packaging and was probably a product defect or an incorrectly labeled product. Pick up 2 showcases when the store opens tomorrow (reserved with rental car at 9:00 a.m.). No transportation at the entrance. Is there self-service at the end, was the information??? And how do you pick up an exhibitor? X times through the whole store. There is packaging at the treasure trove... They ask who says that, they have nothing.... At the vehicle rental office you had to wait 30 minutes because hardly any counters are open. (Showcases and car were reserved for 9:00 a.m.). Got the key at 10:00am. The last door to the rental cars is the biggest hurdle. You no longer have any help from your employees and this door is pretty much the smallest door in the entire area. It's very difficult to get the assembled furniture to the vehicles. Then the final shock... there isn't a single tension set or blanket in the rental car (I rented a furniture transporter). If you come back, you will be scolded for filling up at the wrong gas station. I said so that she could offset the difference of a few kilometers, my tank filling wasn't worth 5 francs and that can't amount to 0.50 francs... that wasn't right either. Let's be honest... it wasn't my fault that I had to go through Abtwil in midday traffic. And it's logical that I take an alternative route so that I can avoid the traffic jam, since I have to hand the vehicle in on time and fill up at a very nasty gas station. And I'm very sorry if I have jeopardized your partnership with this gas station. They probably won't go bankrupt because of that bit of Disel...

I think it's really bad that you no longer have any pieces of paper to write down the product you want. Was much better than this app. The marking where the items are to be picked up is poorly marked e.g. At 13 the shelf is too short and the further marking totql is bad. The self-service checkouts are also catastrophic, they don't work and we don't need that many. There still has to be a saleswoman there at all times, so it would be better to put a cash register there. Last but not least, the long waiting time at the checkout, something like that just doesn't work.

IKEA sometimes has practical furniture/storage systems. We valued Ikea for years. What was terrible was the customer-unfriendly treatment of my cousin, who suffered from severe disabilities. This child was refused entry to the store by the pediatrician despite a serious mask certificate. This is very discriminatory and shameful for a family-friendly business. If I could, I would give it 10 stars. That simply does not work.

As someone familiar with the area, I parked in completely the wrong place, then after walking across the shopping center I discovered the IKEA as if by chance. My favorite is still being forced as a customer to have to take a hike through all departments because the shortcuts only serve the staff and not the customer... Then on the way back to the car I caught the wrong parking floor and went on a hike again. Shopping at IKEA really shouldn't be a day trip! Signage!! Customer experience??
