Ikoo in Zürich

As starters we had edamame, very tasty &warm, also some gyoza. We had spicy Tantanmen & Miso Ramen for main course ,it was both very delicious. For dessert we had sakura & yuzu mochi also black sesame ice cream which wasn't exactly my taste, but it tasted like it looked: extraordinary! ✨ Ps: The staff was very polite & friendly :)

Very nice simple Japanese restaurant, simple but complete menu with some seasonal specials, very good vegetarian and non-vegetarian options available. The broth is delicious, they also have chilled noodles on the menu. The spicy ramen is one of our favorite dishes. Staff is nice, welcoming and efficient. Very reasonable prices for the quality and quantity provided.

The menu is a bit different to Miki's but the only real difference is you can make a reservation here! The booth spaces are especially cute.

Had their ramen before which made me come back a second time. Unfortunately their beef curry was a real disappointment - it was 3-4 small pieces of chunky chewy beef(not sure how they expect you to eat it with a spoon) dipped in sauce and a lot of tasteless rice. I won’t be back.

Amazing Ramen in the heart of Zurich. They make their noodles locally with good ingredients, and it shows. Would highly recommend the onigiri and mochi as well, they were very tasty.

It was a red flag when they took awhile to even acknowledge us and other parties, then they led a party that arrived later than us. Eventually, they led us to a small table to share with another couple, and the couple did not look happy (I don’t blame them). Also, the staff are not Japanese; this is not an instant minus, but something to be aware of.

As someone who has been going here for years, I find that there is a stark difference in the quality of service and food. Sometimes 3 stars, sometimes 5. Hence this rating with a fair 4 stars. Company management should pay more attention to quality control.

unfortunately had an unpleasant experience. my then 2.5 year old and i visited around lunch time. we got a seat right next at the entrance. when i was about to order, my little one had an short tantrum and started screaming. i tried calming her down at the very moment, when suddenly this men and lady (i believe the owner of the restaurant seating at a corner) were disrespectfully demanding my child to be quite. i felt very uncomfortable afterwards, but still ordered the food. and tried to if ignore their angry faces. not a childfriendly restaurant.

I order quite often Ramen through UBER Eats from Ikoo. This time my drink was missing. I’ve reported it and haven’t received any reimbursement nor feedback. Really disappointed by the service of the restaurant. If you make a mistake, you should acknowledge it and react. I won’t be ordering in future from Ikoo.

Good place with good food. Unfortunately the homepage is causing problems, it seems pointless. Reservations are no longer possible. I consider this to be very bad for a restaurant (or fast food shop?).

The Tantanmen had a well-balanced spice level, though the fact that it’s not served with an egg was a bit disappointing. On a personal note: the abundance of red pickled ginger was not to my taste. The Tonkotsu Ramen, in contrast, offered a comforting and flavor-rich broth.

What a good ramen. The composition was extremely authentic and delicious. Not a mainstream dish but you feel like you're in another world. The service was very friendly and accommodating. Hardly any waiting time for court. Reservations cannot be made, worst case scenario is a 10 minute wait, which is definitely worth it. We recommend.

Despite the always full house, reflecting the popularity of the place, there is never a lack of quality or attention. However, one challenge at "Ikoo" is getting a table on a Saturday evening. It often takes a bit of luck, but on my last visit we had luck on our side and managed to get a table for the five of us. This aspect of exclusivity adds a certain excitement to the restaurant experience and makes the success of getting a table all the sweeter. In short, "Ikoo" in Zurich is a must for every ramen enthusiast. It is a place where quality, taste and service come together in perfect harmony. A visit here is not just a meal, it is a culinary experience not to be missed.

Ikoo offers one of the best ramen in the city. We had the mushroom ramen (season specialty) as well as the kyabetsu salad and the cold noodles (also season specialty). Everything was really tasty and authentic, and the price is totally fair! I advise you come 10 minutes before opening to definitely get a seat since they don’t do online reservations.

Very good ramen and variety of dishes and prices. It opens at 6 p.m. and I recommend arriving before opening if you want to get a table.

The ramen and dessert were good. The service was a little bit slow but they were nice. We came on a Saturday for lunch and there was no wait for a table.

Unfortunately, even with a voucher, no reservations can be made! -> So as long as you don't live next door, you can expect waiting times of up to 2 hours before charging. A pity

For me the best setting in Zurich, service very friendly, unfortunately no reservation possible “just walk in”. We've been there five times and the Tantanmen Ramen tastes really delicious. The Gyoza as a starter three vegetarian three pieces with meat are definitely too expensive as a starter for 15 Fr. The frames are between 22 and 26 Fr. on average for Zurich. But it's definitely worth a visit!

2023.10 I really wanted to eat ramen, and out of the many ramen shops you can go to from Zurich Central Station, this one caught my attention the most. Since it was lunch time on a weekday, there was quite a line. There are Japanese people and there is also a Japanese menu. The ramen had a gentle and delicate taste similar to Japan. It may not be enough for those who like hearty pork bones, but the deliciousness that soaks into your body will soothe your soul. The price is quite high compared to Japan. But I chose this one and it was the right choice! The reason it's so crowded is probably because Japanese ramen is so popular. I was also surprised at how well foreign people used chopsticks. It may take some time, but I thought it was a great idea. If I want to eat ramen again, this is the restaurant I want to go to (while I still have some money left in my pocket) ✨ Thank you for the meal 😋🩷

First time here, never had Ramen in a restaurant and it was delicious. It was so tasty and flavorful. Staff is cordial and nice. The bowls are between 21 and 30 CHF fair price I must say cause the portion are big. You can add extras if you want like my friend got noodles more and an egg more.

Nice restaurant with a great backyard, good service. Food is a bit below average, I tried many ramens all over the world in many authentic restaurants and this one was quite tasteless compared to what I am used to. Noodles were slightly overcooked, broth was not thick enough for it to be called ramen. No offense, but just comparing it to the other restaurants I tried this was below expectations. It’s not bad, but I don’t think it’s a great match for real ramen lovers. If you decide to eat here, the backyard they have is very cosy and relaxing. It’s very nice and chill there.

I had a bad dining experience for the second time. The first time I ordered the Tantanmen and got severe stomach cramps afterwards. Now I wanted to give it another chance - this time I ordered vegetarian tantanmen and again I had severe stomach cramps, diarrhea and vomiting. Thanks, but never again!

I like the simple atmosphere and nice service, I'll come back more when I'm in Zurich! I went again today (October 23rd) so I like to drive over 100km. It's simply delicious🍜

Update: Wow, what a ramen. and what a service improvement. I had to say, kudos to everyone we completely loved it and we will return once a month. best ramen in Zurich! Ramen is delicious, but service can be improved. If you have waiters stressed because too many people want to eat your food then it is the worst thing you can have. Mushroom seasonal ramen was delicious. Recommend it!

I had the pleasure of visiting Ikoo行 and chose the Tantanmen Summer Edition. This choice was definitely worth it! The soup was exquisite and the flavors were perfectly balanced. The pasta was cooked just right and the ingredients seemed fresh and high quality. The portion was very generous and filled me up. The ambience of the restaurant is pleasant and the staff is friendly and attentive. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. A wonderful experience that I would recommend to anyone who loves authentic Japanese noodle soups!

The ramen was too fatty, stomach felt a bit upset. Itself the broth was not tasty. Also it had too much ginger which ruined the taste.

The food was super tasty. There were few vegan options on the regular menu, but there was a super delicious vegan dish from the seasonal summer menu.

The food was fine, my favorite was the Tantanmen Ramen. The miso ramen and the tonkotsu ramen were good, but you have to like the special spicy taste.

The spicy vegetarian ramen here is great, I would highly recommend visiting and is reasonably priced as well. However would not recommend getting the summer version as there is less soup in it and not as hot so takes away from the experience.

Found the restaurant very comfortable, nice staff, a bit small but thats not a problem for me. The food is delicious and you get quite a big portion, so every penny is worth it! Desserts are also a must! ✨

One of the best ramen restaurants in Zurich. The ramen has a great consistency and is very tasty. The restaurant is often full, so it's definitely worth making a reservation. Service is friendly and quick.

They make good Ramen though not excellent. They are VERY al dente and portion size is too small regarding the price. So you might need some side dish and it’s easily 40sFr for a lunch. Staff is friendly though.

The food is very good. I like the chef very much. He’s very friendly and also very flexible on changing the dish in oder to take care of my food allergies to garlic and onions.

Homemade Ramen, I particularly liked the Tantanmen and come back for it regularly.

I was encouraged with great opinions and reviews but... I was a bit disappointed. Mainly becasue of two reasons: 1. Service - although not bad as for swiss conditions, it was slow, mainly when it comes to take your order 2. Tastewise - my tantanmen was not bad, but was not as good as it should be (compared to a number of tantanmens I`ve tasted across the world). A bit wattery, meat was not prepared with any spices, just low quality for the price. Easily you can find better ramen(s) in Zurich.

Quaint place in staufacher to grab some ramen. Went here for lunch with colleagues and would definitely say it an worth trying. Can be hard to get a table as the number of reservations they take is limited, we were lucky and got the last table when passing by.

I am a big fan of ramen, and try to have it in every city I live. I think the ramen here is quite good and fairly priced for downtown Zurich, but I wish they wouldn’t serve it lukewarm. I like a soup very warm and even asked for it to be as warm as possible, but I’m not sure it was taken into account.

The IKOO is a small, outwardly simple remnant that is hardly noticeable. However, when you enter the restaurant you are greeted in a friendly and courteous manner and shown to a free table. There are various ramen dishes to choose from on the menu, as well as plenty of drinks. It's super tasty and the portion is very generous, so everyone can usually get enough. I will be very, very happy to come back and be inspired by the delicious ramen variations that are on the menu. Thank you very much and good luck!

We were there on Saturday January 28th, 2023. Shortly after eating I felt unwell and we left shortly afterwards. I vomited all night long. The restaurant is certainly not recommended

One of my regular bars. Best Tantanmen ever - order with egg! Try to eat this at least twice a month. One of my favorite foods.

I was looking for a good frame and I was really lucky on two tries. I ate Tantanmen and I was super satisfied! We'd love to come back!

I ate Shoyu ramen and it was just ok. The noodles were this more thick and a little bit curly kind, which I quite like, and springy. However the broth itself was a little on the bland side and taste from the seaweeds overwhelmed every other flavour for me. I wish it was more rich. The portion was also quite small and the broth temperature was on the edge of not being warm enough.

Decent place to get Ramen in Zürich. We wanted to try the Tonkotsu but it was not available. We tried the Miso and the Shoyu instead. Portions were generous, and tasted good. The iced tea and the juice were good too. Price is what you will expect from a Swiss restaurant. The staff were friendly and courteous. We went at about 13.40 and thankfully they were still open for lunch!

Not authentic at all. The miso broth was too watery and lacking taste, the noodles were badly cooked and sticking together in clumps. The chashu meat and the egg were still cold from the freezer.

We had very good sushi, fresh and very well prepared. But it is expensive.

The restaurant "IKOO" is a wonderful Japanese Noodle Soups Restaurant with delicious soups and other surprises. IKOO is narrow, crowded and yet quiet. The vegetarian dishes taste delicious. See pictures.

it is a popular restaurant. it is quite full at times. in fact we basically had to eat beside two strangers, because they had no other tables available. i recommend that you reserve a table in advance. even though the space was a bit cramped and full of people, the atmosphere of the restaurant was still pretty decent. i like that they showed off a couple of signature drinks, which are maybe less known to the normal customer. the service was nice and fast. also they give you the option to eat with a fork, if you are not skilled enough to use chopsticks. if needed they can privide you with a disposable bib, to keep your clothes safe from accidental splashes or drops. now to the food; the main part of this restaurant the menu consists of many popular japanese dishes. there are many tasty ramen variations, teriyaki noodles and many more great dishes. the drinks menu isn't small either, they serve a couple of delicious self-made drinks, as well as a couple of very great japanese beers! the food is incredible. im sure i will visit this restaurant again soon.
