Very dusty holds but very fun gym!!! Loved the atmosphere and enjoyed the boulders a lot. Would definitely go here again

Many boulders are now screwed wide (wide strokes), so that they are not uncommon or even impossible for smaller people. So it doesn't make sense for me to go further into the minimum if I can't do many boulders simply because of my height.

It was my first time bouldering, it was fun. The only thing I can say is that it was pretty cold in the hall and rather expensive fun.

Since the reopening at least 1 star less, unfortunately. 25.- take away for such a small portion is more than borderline.

Offers a big range of levels. The hall is not heated in winter though!

This hall is really fresh, man! When I rolled in there, I immediately felt that the vibe was right here. So, first of all, the atmosphere: The hall has this crazy underground flair that I love. The walls are packed with the sickest routes you can imagine. I'm telling you, those handles and overhangs made me feel like I was in another world, digga! And the staff? Wow, they're really at it, man! Always friendly, always helpful. If you have a question or need help, the boys and girls are there to show you the right move so you can rock the wall! And now for the highlight: The routes, my people! They are so varied that even I start to sweat! From beginners to pros, everyone will find their challenge here. Conclusion: Minimum isn't just a boulda hall, man. This is a lifestyle experience! If you're up for action, style and a fresh community vibe, then head to the hall, my Gs!

Great bouldering only gym. Great features, great sets, great vibe, great music, free water with nice glasses, cool restaurant, cool free communal chalk that’s in these blocks so the dust doesn’t get everywhere. Only reason I took the one star away was there’s no system board and it’s not heated in the winter. Not too cold inside, but I lost my toes a bit. Definitely worth a stop while in Zurich.

Rather difficult in winter without long, warm clothing

Great team, very helpful, the boulders are renewed regularly. The food in the restaurant is also very tasty. It's a shame that the kitchen team changes over the New Year. Thank you and keep it up.

Beautiful space, good facilities, clean and tidy. The set up is between old school and new style which is in my preferences. Only downside the no heating in the winter. Can be extremely cold, that much that you even struggle to get a proper warm up.

Great gym but in the summer it suffocates and in the winter you freeze to death

I was just looking, not climbing. The facility is very small, but it's definitely a good place for people who want to climb a wall every now and then. I particularly liked the bar in front of the hall, the espresso tasted excellent and the atmosphere was pleasant and the staff were very friendly.

Good place for bouldering, offering lots of climbing routes of varying difficulties. The place has all you need, you can rent climbing shoes and the restaurant offers plenty for in between

Cool bouldering hall with pleasant staff and guests. Mood is really very easy. The only negative point: In the evening the hall is pretty packed, but perhaps the new hall in Leutschenbach will help.

The food is incredibly tasty and creative and a joy for vegans and vegetarians 🤗 The service is super friendly and the place outside under the trees at sunset is very beautiful and what I almost forgot Price performance is also tip top 😊👍🏼🥰

Awesome location. Good for business that's there are that many climbers. Annoying for the climbers that it's so packed.

Nice training area and routes were worthy the climb, but there are no changing rooms, it gets super crowded, holds are dirty and grading is chaotic.

Best gym in town. The routes are very creative, changed often and extra fun! The staff is so nice and welcoming. You get to have amazing coffee ☕️ before climbing and delicious food and beers at the end of day. I love this place!

The owners don't care about their neighbors and can play loud music after 21:00. Visitors who sit outside often hold loud conversations up until late night.

Very big gym, with lots of routes. I couldn't figure out how the routes are graded or where to start certain routes. Although that also made if fun, since you can just do whatever, like old spray walls. The rental shoes are very stinky and most of them are damaged in someway.

Unfortunately it is forbidden to use your own chalk? Instead, share with everyone else from boxes where people stick their bloody or dirty hands into them. I also thought it was a shame that as a stranger to the hall, you weren't introduced with a word. Neither how it goes in the hall or anything like that. How does the difficulty classification work here? There was only one sign, which was difficult to see at the beginning. The start of the routes is also not visible to strangers. In any case, some rethinking is necessary. There was also no registration etc. Changing rooms are not worth mentioning now either. Showering wasn't possible either. Unfortunately I wasn't blown away for 22CHF.

pretty disappointing gym. route setting is average. grading is very random. boiling hot in summer and not heated in winter. the bar is overpriced. non alcoholic panache is 9fr.

While the quantity of routes was amazing, and the free chalk was very pleasant, the dirtyness and grimyness of the walls and especially holds took away from some climbing fun. Btw, the food is amazing and the personnel very helpful!

It's sad how child-unfriendly the minimum has become. My children have been bouldering at least since they could walk, but now I'm no longer allowed to boulder when I accompany them, but have to play supervisory role with these two professionals. 🙁

Great bouldering hall in Zurich Altstetten, easy to reach directly from the 2 tram. Friendly staff, great routes and enough space, even at peak times. The attached restaurant serves various delicacies and cold beer while you can take a look at the athletes.

It's great but my trainer tells me to keep going and then they won't let me? Bouldering in the afternoon was great! The boys and girls always create attractive and varied routes. The coffee is also very good. Very busy at off-peak times and a bit “trendy”.

Always worth a visit. Super brilliantly friendly staff and imaginative dishes. You also have to make a reservation for lunch, otherwise you'll burn ;-)

Starting very small in Wollishofen about 10 years ago, this hall has developed into the most visited hall in Zurich. That also has disadvantages, of course. Nevertheless, a great team, good food and always a lot of fun solving problems.

The café and the bouldering hall are great! I really like the café because you can look into the bouldering hall through the windows and it is still very cozy. Unfortunately there is no caffeine-free (decaf) coffee. The service is one of the nicest conditions I have encountered in Zurich so far. He not only served us very charmingly, but also competently introduced us to the bouldering hall. The hall is not heated, so in winter I would take a sweater with me. There are enough beginner routes. The people who boulder there are very pleasant, the hall is also suitable for children. There are: fitness room, showers, toilets, changing rooms, shoe rental, various bouldering routes…

Dirty, greasy handles. Slippery structure. Loveless routes in the lower difficulty range. Children are only welcome as course participants.

The Minimum is one of the most crowded halls in Zurich, so the routes - although they are changed regularly - quickly look dirty. But the Routesetter team is incredibly committed, creative and versatile, and you can also just ask them for tips and they are always happy to receive feedback! No halls for beginners (too little offering, frustrating) and kids (too dangerous), and in winter nothing for beginners. If there's an indoor gym that has a bit of an outdoor feeling, then it's the minimum. Also extremely delicious lunch menus and good coffee/cake.

if you're into bouldering and happen to be in zürich, this is the place for you. In fact, it's a pretty good reason to settle down here. the best athletes gather here and since the grading can be disillusioning, be assured that if you succeed here, you can conquere the world. the creativity of the routes in all grades is fantastic, simply exciting to boulder here. + countless exciting boulder problems + atmosphere and spirit of the crowd + high frequency of setting new routes + huge training area + attached bar/restaurant w good food + long opening hours - depending on outside temp, it can be chilly or hot

Come for the cake and the drinks, for bouldering there are better halls with a better price-performance ratio: children pay here from the age of 0. The minimum routes are often no longer recognizable, and many holds are already heavily worn. Starting handles are poorly marked and the hall looks dirty in many places.

Boulder area was TOTALLY cold, couldn’t boulder because my hands were totally cold, the grips are so so old that you slip. The path is totally unclear that you don’t know where you have to climb because the grips have lost the color. First time I am totally dissatisfied with a boulder place. Im not coming back never again!

The information is misleading: it says "restaurant, open on Sundays until 8 p.m." But that's not true, the kitchen is closed on Sundays. I went there and it said: "no, sorry, closed". This should be adjusted here.

Very cold, old and you cant bring your own chalk. The Gym its self looks pretty nice. But when u get closer you see its super old and out of Era. The holds are very dirty and no actual hold cleaning is done at this climbing gym. It also doesn't have a separate changing room so people change where ever. You cant bring your own chalk and have to use either liquid chalk or their own dehydrated chalk which is not great at all. Entry fee is 20 chf and barley worth the price. I have to give them 3 starts because they have awesome training room. Without that they would have gotten a 2 stars. The only good thing is I did not have to pay because they had such a chaos the day i came they must have forgotten. Don`t come here its not worth the travel or the price.

Absolutely the nice bouldering hall!!

I've been to many different climbing gyms in different countries and this is the worst by far... The holds seem to have never been changed! They lost their original color. Routesetting is laughable, there are some good routes but most of them aren't original or fun whatsoever, also many holds are hidden or blocked by other holds from other problems... You need to pay extra attention when falling, as they decided that falling to a tilted pad is a good idea, while this is really dangerous and can easily lead to an injury. Just save the money and skip the visit to this place, as there are other gyms in the city that offer more value for money.

I organised an event for my company last week. The staff was very helpful and fast with the reservation. The service was fast and we really enjoyed the food (see vegan burger on the picture). They have an open area outside to enjoy your meal and drinks. Great in the summer time!
