Il Fermento in Lugano

The food was not really good, I ordered a Chicken Burger, the fries were a good portion, but they tasted like oil, had a strange color and strange consistency (it seems like they were thawed and frozen repeatedly), the burger bun It was old (I have to say) I left the top cover, the vegetables were fresh, but the chicken was dry, the local beer was very good, I think it was the best of all, the lady who served us was very friendly and attentive, she was very nice and fast , the atmosphere is a mixture of different styles, which is not well understood. Thank you Il Fermento.

Unfortunately only special beers from one brewery. I expected more choice given the name....

We went here for a few drinks, glad we did, was one of the bestowed went to Great music, great drinks, great service and staff. One of the more Swiss than Italian bars in Lugano. Would go back.

Very welcoming place with tables also outside where there is a partially closed and heated area with a beautiful view of the lake. The 🍔 special with hamburgers was very good and the cold cuts platter was excellent. Good assortment of beers. Wonderful staff always attentive, courteous and fast. Also good for families. The only flaw is the music is a little too loud.....but maybe it's just a sign that I'm getting old..... Recommended place!

I went there with my wife and daughter on January 1st, where Lugano was swarming with people, and wherever I went there was no hope of finding a place. We were fortunate to still find a corner at "Il Fermento", excellent food. I can't speak highly enough about the service, given that the very high workload didn't allow the guys to dedicate so much to the customers, but as far as I'm concerned I can only say thank you, because in the end we had a good time. I'll try it again and I congratulate you anyway.

Nice staff, good location right on the lake, good selection of drinks and food. Peanuts and snacks are served with a beer. There are places inside, outside and under cover with a view of the lake. Furthermore, mainly rock music was played here 🤘🏽

Crossed over to Switzerland from Italy for lunch. I'm so glad I stopped here! The "pizza" was tasty, the beer was good, and the outdoor seating had a nice view.

Very slow and ignorant service. They charged us 20 CHF more due to them not tracking table orders accurately. We got the money back when we noticed, but still, service is bad.

Very lively place where you can drink excellent beers with a view of the lake. Excellent hamburgers (especially the pulled pork bomba). Smiling and efficient waitresses despite the crowds on the day of our visit. The only downside is the state of the toilets, but that's more the customers' fault...

The bomb was delicious, it's a pity that the chips were brought to me 10 minutes after I had finished the meal, and I also had to pay for them, it's not a question of money but of fairness. For any clarification carlos_m.i.n.a

We waited about 30 minutes at a table for service and nobody ever came to take our order. At one point we walked up to the bar and tried to just give our drink orders directly to the bartender and she refused and directed us back to the table. The food and beer might be good or not but we will never know as we left after 30 minutes of being ignored. Terrible service here.

One of the best around. Consistency is key and we consistently enjoy very good burgers, some of the best craft beer in town, and great company! After with kids - big & small!!

Great beer, unfortunately some of the food was inedible. Our burger was raw, we reported this, the burger was taken back to the kitchen, 15 minutes later it came back and was still raw...

We ended up here by chance and it was a pleasant discovery: a generous platter for two (with bread) and an average beer paid less than what I would have spent in Milan, all with a beautiful view of the lake: definitely approved

Definitely not an evening, crowded place and limited and very stressed staff. I'm sorry because they were running around all evening anyway... but the wait and the uncourteous attitude, probably caused by stress, make you never want to go back again. However, I will return just to give a more correct opinion... I repeat, perhaps it was simply a bad evening given that the place is very popular with the local nightlife.

For coffee, drink and fast food. Normal prices for Switzerland, in a nice spot on the beach road overlooking the lake. Switzerland prices.

You can eat good pizza, it's not very expensive but it doesn't have wifi, which in Switzerland is very useful for European Community citizens who pay a high price for roaming

Dirty tables and so-so service... shame.

You always had to wait too long, and when you ordered more, they wouldn't take the old glasses with you. Maybe it's because of the Italian mentality!

We ate and drank very well at New Year's Eve! For being in Lugano on the lake shore, excellent quality/price, super friendly staff and quick and friendly service. I've already been there and I'll be back, I recommend it for drinking a beer and eating good meat! Congratulations to the staff!

Not to return again. Biblical times before they ask you what you want to drink. On the other hand, they wanted to cash in immediately, even though it was a very normal evening. Compliments to the very nice waitress! 🤬

Lovely little waterside craft beer experience. Service was efficient, and the complimentary monkey nuts lovely. A tad expensive, but you're paying for quality. Didn't sample the food but it sounded very good!

Nice place right in front of the side with a nice and fresh breeze. We had some drinks and they were good. The best thing about the place is the location. The prices are good and access is also simple like everything else in the center of Lugano. It's not very noisy because it's next to the McDonald's, but otherwise it's very well located. It didn't surprise me although it was a nice experience.

A brewpub in Lagano, you can go there and try the craft beer. There is also food. The beer comes from a neighboring town.

On the average in terms of quality. Not so bad not so excellent. A place where you can go easily, but don't expect to be surprised. A bit expensive for the size of the food portion
