Indian Restaurant NOUR in Luzern

The food was okay and fitting the taste someone who doesn’t like spicy . Even I told them to make my food spicy, the food was completely deprived of spices. Aloo paratha didn’t have any potato at all and was no where closer to aloo paratha. The pulao rice didn’t have much flavour. I ended up asking for a paid chutney/ sauce that was supposed to be complementary.Before in Interlaken, I had far better food than here. The ambience was good along with some nice Hindi music. The ambience and vibe didn’t match the taste of food though! I regretted my choice of restaurant later.

Visited the restaurant with my family. Lovely ambiance with quick service! Good selection of mains and starters. My young daughter really enjoyed the food and curry the chef made for them. also had nice drinks menu! Would visit again.

I ordered 1 Hour later he says it will be with me in 10 minutes. After 2 hours the food comes out so spicy, and all for 90 francs, never again

We had dinner here after seeing the review..food was not authentic and there was lots of baking powder in naan. Sabji was also not good. Will not recommend to anyone who wants to have authentic Indian food.

Such a waste to order from this place. Ordered gol gappa and it comes without tamrind water. How am I supposed to eat it without it. Dal Makhani was kinda bland and cold. Ended up throwing majority of the food. I ordered the food via uberEats. Delivery of food was good and quick. Packaging of the food was okay, Dal Makhani was all over the box.

We had dinner at Nour after reading all the good reviews. Small disappointment; the restaurant is not super clean, dust on the lamps above the tables, tablecloths with grease stains, plastic flowers, etc. The food was good but the portions are really small, yet the prices are not cheap! I paid 32.50 for my dish for 3 small chicken fillets on a bed of onions, a few strips of pepper and 2 pieces of cucumber. Incidentally after checking it was marked that the chicken comes either from Brazil or Switzerland... I suppose it comes mainly from Brazil in this case? We are in Switzerland, I think that these prices allow us to buy quality and local chicken all the same. The Naans are very good 👌🏼 In short, for two, with 1 starter to share, two main courses and 4 colas = 110.- Not cheap especially for the actual quantity of meat that was on the plate. There are things to improve! I know that we are an expensive country and that people pay willingly but it would be good to pay attention to the quality/price + quantity/price ratio. The colas were hot, personally I don't like drinking them with ice cubes so that too wasn't super cool. Small note: the service speaks almost no German, mainly English. Friendly but without +

The best place for Indian food in Lucerne

Very tasty food, friendly and courteous service, great atmosphere. Our little children also really liked it here. All in all, a lovely birthday evening. We will be back definitely ! We only found the drinks a bit too expensive.

The food is outstanding! It tastes like fresh ingredients and is incredibly flavorful. I've never had such good Indian food in Switzerland! What I find unfortunate, however, is the small amount of rice in the takeaway. The prices of the dishes are quite high and you should at least be full...

We usually avoid eating Indian/South Asian food in restaurants in Switzerland as it is too costly and then too not worth the money. Nour turned out to be a pleasant change to this experience. The service was excellent and when they realized that we too were from South Asia they asked if we wanted our order to be customised to a higher spice level and prepared it really well. The quality of paneer, rice and naan was very good and everything was served pipping hot. The quantity of food is ok too, we ordered 1 gravy (rice is included) and 2 naan and were able to manage it for 2 adults. 2 gravies would have been too much for 2 persons. We were satisfied with the overall experience, so mostly will visit again. (The owner seems to be from Bangladesh, so if the menu has awesome things like khichuri, begun bhaja, rice payas, tomato chutney and sondesh around Navratri time, we will 100% visit again :D )

I was traveling in India last year and was able to get to know this impressive cuisine countless times. The food at Nuor reminded me of this adventure and tasted just as good as in India. The lunch buffet was really tasty, beautifully presented and the service was very friendly. I will gladly come again. 🙏🏼

Wonderful ambience, very good food and well served! Loved the vegetarian cuisine, and were also served rice bowl complimentary along with main course. This is very close to the train station, was easy to find.

Ordered from this restaurant twice during our visit to Luzern. We were initially impressed with the quality and authenticity, however an order of paneer tikka masala threw us off. It seems as though the paneer was mixed with bhartha as the base - which was confusing to say the least

Best North Indian dishes. Have never eaten so well except in India. In terms of quantity and quality there is nothing to complain about. The service was very friendly and humorous. (Attention: please order clearly, as the staff's native language is neither D nor E. We sat in the garden, where it was very quiet. Unfortunately the chairs are not comfortable.

Wish i could give a negative rating. Highly unprofessional behaviour from owner lady. Apparently even a bill of 30 euro was less for these guys. They want you to shell out a hell lot. It's not just that they are moneyminded, but the way they behaved with my mom and me is absolutely disgusting. We were told you have ordered low cost items, we expected you to order large meals. I have been around Europe, everywhere people are so nice but this place it must be avoided. FYI, it's not Indian restaurant. It's Bangladesh. UPDATE: Blatant lies in the reply. We never had/asked for Raita, let alone for free as I am allergic. And it was your employees fault who did not know that pickle is chargeable. And later we were informed that he is new so he does not know. And lying again as always that you provided for free. I paid for the pickle as well. I have the receipt too. I am appalled how these people lie.This was exactly the reason I mentioned this in the review. You clearly lie about everything.

Because I read someone comments it says it is fair price to eat there, so I went there, but it was really disappointed. Curry taste are very light, only one with meat - chicken curry, two kinds of rices were cold and all foods not so warm. Salads only 3 kinds- lettuce, cuted tomatoes, and cucumbers. You need to pay for the Nan and drinks- one small Nan is 5.50Fr! The plates for curry are really flat, difficult to use them to eat curry. And no parking places!

Staff were Indian and we were expecting them to be very welcoming but looked like they were not keen in serving their own country people. Very disappointed with the food and also their attitude. A big NO if you are craving for Indian food.

Indian food was very good and wholesome. Menu, almost too large a selection, difficult to read everything. Ambiance is cozy except the spotlights on the ceiling are too direct on the clientele. Service very friendly boss, male service (young countryman) could have been even friendlier, he was so serious😘 Otherwise everything was great, we'll be back and will do good advertising among our friends! The service was very, very good, and I also found the food to be very solid, although not outstanding. The meat was a little too cooked and the food could generally have been spicier.

During our visit to Switzerland, we were craving Indian food and Nour did not disappoint! The service was great and food was flavorful. It’s an easy 20 minute walk from the more touristy part of Lucern.

Very disappointed!! I ordered food and had it delivered. After 45 minutes an email came that the delivery was delayed due to many orders. After another 45 minutes another email came saying the restaurant was closed! I have never experienced anything like it!!! Not even 1 star deserved!!! I will never order there again!!!

I’m a bit torn on this, as many others seem to like this restaurant & have much more positive experiences than I did. (Perhaps I was unlucky?) All I know is that they were unprepared for my order, and behaved in an unacceptable manner.

I ordered butter chicken to take away. I paid 24.50 for it. The portion was incredibly small. In addition, the chicken was burnt and not marinated. Conclusion: Overpriced, small portion, poor quality.

Tasty Indian food at good price. Sheekh Kabab in the starter platter could have been better. Biriyani was very nice as well as the Chicken Mughalai Korma.
