Very good food. Very friendly, courteous service, nice atmosphere with a lot of flair. Totally recommended!

Insider tip in Zermatt - courteous hosts, beautiful rooms, spacious apartments and all of this at a very reasonable price. Middle class with a personal touch, genuine hospitality with heart. Perfect location, quiet and yet centrally located, good breakfast buffet and varied menus - the lack of wellness facilities is made up for by the great service and Zermatt has everything your heart desires for sporting activities and flights of fancy. The equipment of the apartments leaves nothing to be desired, from the capsule coffee machine to the dishwasher to the perfect room service. The rooms are spacious and the open kitchen invites you to spend time together. In short, the Jägerhof offers everything you need for the perfect, no-frills holiday. We'll be back next year, no question.

We travelled a lot but have never experienced a hotel with such friendly and helpful staff without, any exception! The manager/owner is clearly a team member by all means and we need to make a huge compliment for the fact of bringing such a group of friendly professionals together, wow! I am sure they would have addressed any issue we would have had in a great way. The only thing is, we did not have any issues whatsoever... On the contrary :-)

Really lovely stay at the Jagerhof hotel! All of the staff, especially Daniella at the front desk, were warm and welcoming- treated guests like family friends. :) See below for list of Pros and slight Cons, fellow travelers :) Pros: The rooms: Generous for European standards sized rooms, nice bathrooms with deep tubs and easy to use showers. Very comfortable beds and linens. We had a lovely Matterhorn view balcony which made for nice views over afternoon cups of tea. Plenty of shelves, hangers, and hooks for all your gear no matter the season. Booking and correspondence: 1- book direct! You will save $ and get "jagerbucks" form the hotel upon arrival for use in the hotel. This to me made more sense and gave us pretty much a dinner one night half off. Helps independent owned hotels keep their booking in house and save on fees! The hotel, especially Daniella, was always quick to respond via email and had great pre-arrival information. E-vehicle shuttle to/from train: thank goodness for this as with gear it would be a bother! The restaurant: There is a flat daily menu offered, but if that does not appeal you can ask for the a la carte menu, too, which is more expansive. Very good food and a great salad bar! Ski room/departure day: The ski room and boot dryer are fantastic. Warm boots each morning was lovely. They partner with Matterhorn Sports if you want a tune up or sharpened edges overnight! IMO- the best part about our stay was we were able to store our bags, ski a final full day, come back and take a quick shower in the bathroom adjacent to the ski room and then get shuttled to the train station. This is such a thoughtful offering of the hotel! Con: the area can be a tiny bit loud at night just because of so many neighboring hotels and sound that carries off buildings.

Highly recommend this hotel. The bar, the breakfast, the staff are all very great. Location is pretty good. Right in between gondolas. So not too bad of a walk to either. Super close to the main Bahnhofstrasse where all the action is. Book directly with them and they give you Jagerhof bucks to use at the hotel for drinks or food. So you’re actually saving by booking directly through them and they get more of the money. Totes would stay here again.

we just stayed at the Jagerhof Hotel for four nights to ski. it was a lovely place to be at. Although the rooms are more of a 3 star hotel, the service and friendliness were 5 stars. the restaurant, bar area and lounge were wonderful. the food was very nice. Breakfast each day was perfect. the Owner and the front desk crew could not have been nicer. they were extremely accommodating to our needs and making us feel welcome. the front desk manager treated us like family. we walked most of the days to or from the lifts, when the bus looked full. 10- 15 minutes the most and a fun walk past bars ands stores. i would stay there again the next time we are in Zermatt to ski

We had dinner here last evening and it was incredible. The service was 7 stars with everyone super friendly and warm to our special needs. Unser Aufenthalt war wunderbar! Tolles Zimmer mit atemberaubender Aussicht. Sehr bequeme Betten und schön eingerichtetes, gemütliches Zimmer. Das Essen und auch das Personal waren top. Einziger Nachteil war die Dusche, denn ich musste den Kopf einziehen und konnte in der Badewannedusche nicht aufrecht stehen (Grösse 170cm) aufgrund des abgewinkelten Dachbaus ist es womöglich nur Personen unter 16cm möglich, aufrecht zu stehent. Wir kommen trotzdem gerne wieder!

Really friendly staff and very accomodating. Rooms are clean, spacious and beautiful. And the food and service is just amazing! We can definitely recommend it and we would go anytime again :)

What a view! What a charming little hotel! What yummy meals! What a grand time we had in that bar! Love that it's a bit away from the bustling main section of town, that it's full of family history and lore. Love the kind driver who delivered us to the train station. Best breakfast of our 9-stop trip in the Alps. In Zermatt again, we'd head back to this same hotel.
