Jara Boulangerie Patisserie in Lausanne

To test the Colombian breakfast we had a dish with egg and tomatoes (uevos pericos) with fresh cheese accompanied by a grilled pancake (arepa), a tamal with pork ribs and a chicken leg inside, Fairly large portion but a little lacking in taste for me. The best is fried empanada, with meat and mashed potatoes, hot, very good, it is also the most popular.

Food ok, however the lady at reception is a disaster. High price

At first glance, a pretty cute place. Hateful saleswoman as possible. We arrive smiling with a friend, saying hello in heart, no response. We ask what's in the empanadas and we are told: "meat, chicken, spinach" in the coldest way imaginable. We had to insist on asking what type of meat only to be told "minced" in a super aggressive way. We insist to know if there are other ingredients than minced meat in this empanada and again we are answered very aggressively. We remain hopeful and ask a few more questions regarding the other products. And we end up realizing that the unsympathetic saleswoman does not know her products, is not a salesperson, is not customer-oriented, is not friendly and, on the contrary, more than detestable. And I end up telling the saleswoman that she can also speak to us with respect and give us answers without staring at us, to which she responds by trying to defend herself "The other customers don't find me unpleasant, blah blah blah , blah blah blah" and we end up leaving without buying anything, politely greeting the little lady customer who was drinking her little coffee and had not asked for anything, especially not such a ridiculous drama. DEFINITELY DON'T GO THERE. Especially since 300m further down there is the Grin et Cie bakery, one of the best in Lausanne with an ADORABLE saleswoman.

The lady is unfriendly, they take a long time to serve you and if you decide to pay later... They also take a while to charge you, the place is in decline and the prices are exorbitant….

I often come from time to time, I find the waitress quite cold towards the customer and not welcoming. I can improve the reception.

Great bakery, with a little corner to taste the pastries. A very large choice of breads 🍞... to discover...

Very good bread. As for the rest, I haven't tried it but it seems very good to me too.

Everything they make is delicious, a variety of bread, natural juices, very spongy cakes, I recommend the orange one, and the mango juice.

First time I go and I left disappointed, the attention was horrible, that woman who was there is poorly educated and poorly spoken, you ask her about the products and she gives very bad answers! They must interview and observe their employees well!

Specialized in South American pastries, however sweet pastries are not recommended. Bread and savory baked goods are better.

The bakery that I have been frequenting for so many years (over 12 years), always so appreciable and warm. Various varieties of delicious breads and pastries. I am slightly biased due to the fact that I have been eating bread there for years, it has always been able to outperform the competition that was there (Pouly has disappeared from the neighborhood now and so much the better, because it was industrial but of worst possible way). Currently only the Coop and Migros are nearby and yet the bakery is simply indetronable. I can only recommend that you taste their know-how 👍🏿

The food is perfect, but the service is TERRIBLE!! The lady who serves does not take orders well, she is not very pleasant. You feel a better atmosphere when the young man attends!

A place specialized in Colombian breads, arepas, buñuelos and more pastries.

I was there several months ago and I still haven't recovered. It is the first time that a plate of beans and rice for two people, two panela waters, two coffees, four pandebonos and four buñuelos cost me 120 Swiss francs!!! I will not come back!!!!

The establishment is currently under construction and will reopen in a few weeks.

Very good bread, excellent raisin snails. Very pleasant place to take a coffee or juice break fruit and newspaper.

A real artisanal bakery (this is becoming less and less common across Lausanne) the bread is very good, large choice of pastries and Colombian specialties.

Excellent Colombian specialties. On Saturdays and Sundays, breakfast there is like at home. The pandebonos are very good and the empandas and arepas are the best. They also sell frozen products to take home.

You place an order for bread and when you go to pick it up they partially sell it to others thinking that you won't come to pick it up. So they fill your order with defrosted bread which they sell to you at the same price as fresh bread. Not nice😡

A place where you feel closer to Colombia

The food was very good overall. Quite authentic... Good service although we went to breakfast and there was a long line. They serve you quite Colombian menus. The arepas to go were very good.
