JOE & THE JUICE in Zürich

Friendly hosts/employees! Ordered for an energize juice & specifically Requested for No Ice ...as I'm recovering from a cold. And of course they didn't do that. Instead she made me wait for her to finish another order. . . while the drink still with ice And then she poured it back into the machine and re pours it to the cup. . . Not Professional Nor smart. Then one ice was remaining and she took her hand and took it out. Hmmmm - she uses the register with the same hand and handles money...etc. Granted she was wearing gloves 🧤, it just didn't seem Very appropriate to do that! Instead she could have 1st used a spoon... Very Easy and would be more efficient...but instead she did that. The juice is still somewhat cold. But I didn't want to stir trouble because as a customer I could have easily "demanded" another fresh juice to be made. Because of the first reason and second because of hygiene issues. I even tipped over the transaction! 😏 Not such a pleasant experience.

The juice was delicious and the staff was friendly. But the prices are already very high. A juice costs CHF 11.00

I'll summarize my review with 'false advertise'. I saw the picture of the acai bowl on screen and I decided to order it... This is what I got instead. I'll ignore the fact that the acai bowl has no bowl, but yeah, it was a piece of reddish ice, hard rock solid, and borderline uneatable. Not sure if they forgot to take it out of the freezer or if they forgot to mention that you need super jaw-strength to eat it or what, but this is certainly not the same thing they advertise. Needless to say that it wasn't cheap at all, of course. Not sure how the other branches in zurich are, but this one was really subpar.

Pretty much the worst espresso you can get in Zurich. A kind of charcoal infusion.

It took around 15 minutes to get a sandwich, and damn, the bread was burnt. The service is poorly organized. I don’t recommend this place at all.

The employee simply cleaned up the trash, tied up trash bags, put dirty dishes in the dishwasher & then started preparing a juice and touching everything with his hands. And all of this without changing gloves. Great, thanks for the cleanliness! P.S. Don't ask me to write an email about it, it's already there :)

My kids and I love to go for their sandwiches (tunacado and spicy tuna) and avo shake. Coffee is good not spectacular. You know you'll almost always get something nice to eat or drink here. Sometimes it feels like the service could be friendlier.

I ordered just a hot chocolate but the servers were really happy with a smile on the face, good music, Good vibes

It was the first Café I've visited in Zurich. The place is nice, the atmosphere is modern. The only confusing thing is the price. More than 7 euro for the Cappuccino 🙈 in my opinion is too much. I've taken club sandwich and Cappuccino. It costed me 20CHF. I can't say that the taste was so wonderful. It was normal, fresh. If you don't care about the price, you might like the place)

ordered two sandwiches and two shakes and they only gave me one of the two shakes, i payed 40.-!!! tried to call in and they don’t even have a customer service line… how do you run a business if your customers can’t even call in? pissed

Disappointing service and sandwiches served cold We (five of us) are all disappointed with our visit. The service was a complete disappointment and it seemed like the saleswoman didn't listen to us carefully. Some of our orders were not taken correctly, which meant that we ultimately had to wait for our drinks and when we asked, we found that they had not been taken at all. We had to order these again and wait - annoying. Service speaks English and we ordered correctly in English. Not only the service but also the cleanliness left something to be desired. The tables were not cleaned in a timely and proper manner, forcing us to clear the table ourselves in order to even be able to sit down. As a group of five, we were all very disappointed to find that all of our sandwiches were cold inside. This is the second time we've had this experience at Joe and Juice. For the prices they charge this is absolutely unacceptable. Because of these negative experiences we will not be visiting Joe and Juice again. The prices are inflated and disproportionate to the disappointing service we received. It's unfortunate that a place that specializes in juice, sandwiches and coffee is unable to provide quality food and adequate service. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Joe and Juice and hope that they will improve their service and quality standards in the future.

There I said "Grüetzi" and she saw that she didn't know what that meant. Plus I had to order in English because she couldn't speak German

Very welcoming place and staff, good chocolate muffins and pumpkin spice lattes, excellent cappuccino.

Juice are okay.. but nothing spectacular.. the price is incomprehensible and not justified once and never again.. Preparation takes a long time... CHF 22 for Iron Man and Pick me Up..

The products are good but the place is very dirty. Not much attention is paid to cleanliness here. Unfortunately

Avo shake is very nice, not too sweet, just natural flavor, highly recommend . Also Joe’s sandwich is crispy delicious with avocado tomato and chicken.

The drinks are OK. The staff (3 people) are sometimes overwhelmed.

The juices are really tasty, but they come at a price. The service staff, on the other hand, was understaffed and seemed overwhelmed. It took a correspondingly long time until the juice was ready. In addition, the music was playing penetratingly loud. The store therefore has room for improvement.

Trendy health focused cafe resto coming to town offering multiple vegan, vegetarian drinks, smoothies, and juieces that are freshly made mostly from organic ingredients. They also offer delicious cookies, cakes, muffins, and other yummy deserts. A must try would be their green and red smoothies, which are very healthy and very delicious.

Update* first time in Joe & the Juice! really impressed by the quality of the coffee + this store has a fantastic location, walking distance to the lake!

i’m usually a huge fan of joe and the juice and been a frequent customer. today i ordered a flat white and got just a cup of steamed milk, and there was not a single hint of coffee in there (flat white is supposed to have two espressi in it, not just milk). had to throw it away unfortunately. i wish new baristas would get a proper training & provide guests with quality service as in other locations! sincerely your very loyal customer:)

Price performance wasn't quite right for us. The employees were stressed even though there was only one person standing in line and we had a question. We then paid 50 for breakfast, which we found to be a bit expensive. The strawberry-banana protein shake and the sandwich were delicious, the 2 cappuccinos were ok, the acai bowl unfortunately disappointed us because it tasted more like yogurt than acai.

A little expensive but what they offer is really good. Different juices which are made as and when required. They make super good sandwiches 😋 Very welcoming and friendly staff.

Good place for coffee and sandwiches

The cappuccino's taste was okay and there is free wi-fi. But the muffins are dry and tasteless, not recommended. Also, the music is definitely too "techno" for a café and it is too loud.

Very tasty tuna sandwich. Unfortunately the juice had so much foam and hardly any juice in it. That was a bit too expensive for the little juice..

I like a nutritious jerseys that I had that I have to tell you. Slightly over the place because I paid like 10 flags for the juice but at the end of the day these are the prices in Switzerland as we all know. Nice central place you can stop for a little pit stop.

As a customer it is quite tedious when the staff is constantly changing, you are not greeted when you enter the store, the employees DO NOT SPEAK GERMAN but you are asked if you can speak English, you are not given any attention because you prefer to talk to your work colleagues and being served with annoyance when you make your presence known! I prefer to get my juice at the coop.

it's a good place and quality guaranteed..but it does feel that staff is a bit entitled.

They are screaming when they give you the orders, especially the guy. They said they will clean our table but they never did. You cannot enjoy any conversation because they scream to deliver your order, really bad experience. If you want enjoy your coffee, honestly avoid this place.

I ordered the blue shake and it tasted as expected but it was warm and had huge chunks left inside. I went back inside and told the employees in there that there were big chunks and they just told me "that's how it's supposed to be". No shake should have huge chunks where it can't pass through the straw. Disappointing to say the least.

This Danish franchise or chain is fantastic they have a great juices and their crispy thin whole wheat bread sandwiches are fantastic

It was just next to my airbnb apartment, started everyday with it, amazing location, next to the river, great staff, most important, great food! Highly recommended!

Best place for a good coffe in Zurich or if you want to try the fresh juices. The staff is really helpful and you can easily discuss in English with them.

The shake was not well blended, there were still some big chunks of dates inside, taste was fine.

Oh no ! Ordered a juice that supposed had pineapple and lime in it, but neither where to taste. The poor girl working there was alone and so many clients I didn’t dare to go back and bother. Bathrooms where dirty….shame since the place is nice.

Had a chocolate milkshake and I was expecting more than a banana mixed with some alpro chocolate drink that anyone can find in grocery shops. Still you managed to make it taste less. I was just super disappointed ;)

The atmosphere was very nice. Unfortunately, the hot chocolate wasn't that chocolaty and was served in a disposable cup despite being consumed in the restaurant.

Cute shop with a good selection of coffee & juice, a little pricier but it’s worth it for the quality Contactless pickup available, indoor/outdoor seating, appropriately distanced tables, clean seating area & bathrooms

Great store. Nice and cozy with friendly, fast service. The smoothies don't taste quite as strong as those with additives, but that's not a bad thing. The selection is manageable and it seems there is something for everyone. The price is a bit high, but I think the ingredients come from fair conditions.

One of my favorite places to hang out. Music might be a bit loud if you’re looking to study here but the musical selection is always great and the staff as well as the menu are superb.
