King Size in Lausanne

Very lively place with screens and top bartenders who listen to customers. The smile is omnipresent. It feels like Scotland. I recommend with my compliments.

I loved this place. Amidst the city centre. Big in size. Good crowd and good music though I feel the music could've been a bit louder. It is open till late hours and I loved it here.

Great location. Aside from the waitresses, there are some super nice people but there are also those who are super unfriendly… and the biggest joke is the nachos! It's just chips and that's it. I can imagine that this kind of dish is not 100% homemade but for 12.- a little respect. To eat, go to the Bulldog opposite. Here it will be more for a drink.

Very pleasant place to have a drink but also to eat if your aperitif lasts longer. Very good atmosphere during sporting events which are broadcast on the big screen.

Pleasant, even if a little noisy, nice outfit for the barmaids, pretty good food. Price a bit high. No table service in the evening. Not very noisy when I went there (without an event) so it was possible to chat in a group and get along.

I've been coming here since it opened. The atmosphere and service have clearly declined, even if it remains OK. On the other hand, the nachos.... It's dry and tasteless. Guacamole too. For 4 or 6.- more, everywhere else, there is topping and it's good.

The food is not exceptional but accompanied by beer it is very good. I dream of fresh fries there and better Chicken wings but I come back often the prices are reasonable, the beer a little expensive but there is a choice. Big screens, broadcast, I really like this place

Nice and vibrant atmosphere. Good sports bar and Scottish theme design. The food was ok and the drinks were as cheap as the lausanne center :) The nearby parking is super expensive. Recommended to use public transport

I came in to watch live the Women's World cup football semifinal, on the screens were basketball and rugby replays. I don't speak much French and the bar staff didn't speak any English. I tried my best to establish if they were going to screen the football, but effectively told no. They didn't appear to even know the game was about to start and told that football would start in 3 hours (after the game would end) I left in absolute disgust. I bet if this was a men's game they would have screened it.

We regret that the waiter refused to clean the table on the terrace following our request (formulated in a very polite manner) under the pretext that the terrace would soon close. It is important to point out that the table was very dirty. Furthermore, we were charged 5CHF for a glass of water in a disposable plastic cup. The service unfortunately leaves something to be desired.

First time trying to order some food at this pub and the female staff behind the bar was so rude. She spoke to customers like speaking to dogs because we did not understand how the service and payment system at this pub is! Of course, customers don't know everything and how you work there. Your duty is to explain them how it works. If you don't explain, do not expect that everyone must understand. The way she spoke to us was unacceptable. For us, this was the first time trying and of course the last time! ... never again!!! Who wants to come to the place where you have to pay and then get insulted by rude staff??? If you are in Lausanne and like enjoying your time in a nice pub, I recommend McCarthy's Irish Pub, Pl. Pépinet 1, 1003 Lausanne. There, you have full services. You can sit with your friends at your table, taking your time to see menu and select your food. Staff will come to take your order and serve you food at your table. At the end of your course, staff comes to check and facilitate payment at your table. You don't need to pay each time when you order food or drink like at King Size. This is more convenient. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I always gave them some tips at the end of the course as they deserved it. The ambiance inside the pub is very cozy. You can watch football or rugby matches. Toilets are also nice and clean.

I've been going to king size for a year and a half. I have been living in Lausanne for 39 years. I like the Irish bar and it's the only one where the waitresses manage the demand. I was born in Lausanne 39 years ago and this bar is the benchmark. Thank you to the staff who take the friendly time with customers.

I've been going to this pub for close to 15 years. It hardly changed, which isn't a bad thing. There are screens so you can watch sports and there's a fair amount of choice in terms of beer. Staff is very friendly!

The bar is nice, good atmosphere, a wide choice of beer, but honestly the thing that ruins everything? Two huge screens in the middle of the room. I don't come to the bar to watch screens, and even less to watch advertising. Too bad. On match days again I understand, but otherwise turn it off, what a shame.

I love this pub, good environment, good music, a big terrace and a good variety of beers. The beer don't have gas enough but i think that's a general problem in Switzerland. I also think they offer peanuts although they didn't had it the both times I went there. Nice staff. I'll definitely go back.

The place in Flon where I go with my eyes closed 😂 it is super well located (strategic for the professional (or post) cinema aperitif (or both). Just a shame when it is a victim of its success in the evening and that I have to go somewhere else 🥲.
