Food is ok, but bland. Keller forgets what the guest ordered and is unreasonable when it is pointed out to him. There is no reason to appear here a second time.

I've wanted to write this review for a long time. I think this restaurant is highly recommended! The food is fresh and excellently prepared. The Wienerschnitzel is absolutely top, the seafood and fish are also excellent, I have never been disappointed with the menu. The service is very good and extremely friendly. The innkeeper couple does an exceptionally good job.

I had the chopped veal liver served with vegetables and rösti. I have no regrets honestly, very delicious food and one of the best rösti I have in Switzerland.

A wonderful evening with wonderful food, unique service and a pleasant ambience. The prices are proud but with all the bells and whistles they definitely justify it. Especially if you order a schnitzel ^^. My father didn't join us until around 10 p.m. and received a full menu including dessert. The waiter was very friendly and personable, attentive, eloquent, humorous and not at all intrusive. Gladly again!

In our case we had a really long waiting time to be served and through the course. The food and taste are really basic, there is no way to justify the prices. The beef tartare was particularly tasteless, we could only taste the marinade ( most of it was probably Worcester sauce ..). The lamb rack was one like many others , the veggies banal. The dessert nothing amazing. Service was less than average. Wine ok. Price ... 180 CHF for 1 startet two main entries, 1 dessert and 2 glasses of wine. For me it was the first and LAST time in this restaurant. The best thing might have been the interior design.

There was also very little choice for vegetarians, but for everyone else there was a very large choice. This review is intended as a tip for vegetarians, not as a criticism of the restaurant.

I was a chef in this restaurant 11 times and was only allowed to cut vegetables and fruits. The boss is very antisocial and inconsiderate and the dishes are bland

I really liked the food and the restaurant. The staff was friendly, by "bad luck" we had a lady who was unfriendly, you noticed that she had little desire to do her job, which was contrary to the other people on the service team. Without a doubt I would return despite the waitress, maybe next time a more cheerful person will serve me ☺️

For me the best restaurant in Bern. The host couple and all other employees are super nice and accommodating. The needs of the guests are always taken into account and the prices are fair. The quality of the food is excellent and there is always a good wine recommendation. We recommend!

Already had Wienerschnitzel twice. Once it was the best schnitzel in town! On the second visit it was only good, perhaps the schnitzel was left for too long because of the starter. I also liked the vegetable side dish better the first time. Wheels steamed instead of grated vegetables. Finely pounded into the schnitzel, good breading could be a little spicier, well baked. I will come back, even due to the lack of Wienerschnitzel alternatives in Bern.

Nice terrace in the small park at Helvetiaplatz. We enjoyed a fine Eggerbier after lunch. Very pleasant atmosphere. The service was extremely top and prompt. Price/performance is right. Highly recommended. Easily accessible.

We had a very good meal here (á la carte, over lunch). The prices are justified by the quality of the products, the seasonal and thoughtful offer, the attentive service and the location. I only have two suggestions for improvement. Tend to use a little more salt when seasoning. The fried zucchini flowers could be significantly improved with a ricotta herb filling and a lighter dough with little more effort, because you could also easily reduce the number of zucchini flowers per portion (3-4).

Nice Mittagsmenü with very reasonable price (27CHF for soup/salad and main dish). Inside of the restaurant is well-decorated but not pretending! I felt comfortable :) Staffs were friendly.

The creativity and quality of the seasonal dishes on the menu compensate for daily menus that sometimes fall short of legitimate expectations for an establishment of this caliber. Very pleasant atmosphere, superb decoration, always attentive service. The lack of competition (it is the only traditional restaurant in the Kirchenfeld district) does not favor value for money.

My favorite in the Kirchenfeld restaurant is the unique artichoke carpaccio. Everyone has to try this once! The menu contains all the classics and a wonderful variety of seasonal offers. I love the cozy bistro, and if you want something a little more classy, ​​the hall offers the perfect ambience. The service is warm, the cuisine is good, what more could you want?!

A fabulous restaurant where you can get a wonderful, casual meal that is reasonably priced by Bernese standards. Impeccable service that remains friendly and attentive even when at full capacity. The wine list is well-stocked and the daily meals are imaginative. Top!

I just regret that the person who served us did not deign to speak to us in good German when it was obvious that no one at our table spoke Bernese dialect!
