A great restaurant… I recently went to eat and I was particularly impressed, the service was impeccable, the staff were very welcoming, professional and attentive. The menu is quite extensive with a wide choice of meat, fish and vegetarian options, well constructed. In particular, I took “Spaghetti with mussels, black garlic, olive oil and crunchy bread” (Sublime, impeccable) and “The real big Milanese elephant ear” (Well made, top quality). So what can I say, highly recommended restaurant, Like being at home.

A great room and delicious food 😋 Today we were able to enjoy white asparagus cream soup with poached quail egg as well as fish and green asparagus. Thank you very much for that and big praise to the chef and Salvatore 🙏🏼❣️

After being turned away from two empty restaurants because we didn’t have a reservation, we were welcomed by Salvatore with a warm greeting. We felt like Joseph and Mary wandering the streets of Bethlehem but instead of a carrying a fetal prophet we had a hungry belly. Klingler’s was our manger and the birthed a meal fit for the son of god himself.

Excellent restaurant with a nice atmosphere, somewhat hidden in Ascona. TOP service and wonderful food. We had the spaghetti with Astice, Melanzane alla Parmigiana and Sogliola with a sensational champagne sauce. Very good wine list. Bravo! We will be back!

Unfortunately, the new restaurant in Ascona is a complete rip-off. I ordered a wine for 95.- On the bill I had to pay 290.- because a wrong wine was brought with a similar name that was not on the wine list. Instead of an apology, I was reprimanded and told I had been shown the wine. The food was normal. Not a highlight. KLINGLERS cannot be recommended under any circumstances and everyone should avoid it, as there are enough alternatives in Ascona.

We spontaneously had dinner at Klinger’s: The restaurant is inconspicuously nestled in an alley. The location was very pleasant, wonderful expansion with granite and wood, nice accessories. Were welcomed very nicely and accompanied to the place. The staff had a positive attitude and were very competent and gave us suggestions for the respective menu. The wine selection was uncomplicated because the recommendation matched the menu. The food was excellent, portions and appearance taste great. Price performance was right for us. This hidden gem is the perfect lunch or dinner place for you to escape from the touristic promenade at the lake. It has perfectly chosen mix of meals in very good quality. They carefully decorate the Terrasse with love and the service is very friendly and service oriented.

We had a great time at Klingler's. The meat was perfectly cooked and the wine was excellent. It's definetly on the pricier side but it's worth it because they use quality ingredients. I would recommend Klingler's if you are looking for a nice resturant in Ascona.
