Klingler's in Zürich

I have visited and eaten at this great restaurant twice so far. ;-) On my first visit I chose the dish “Spaghetti alla chitarra con vongole veraci, gamberi e pomodori pachino”. The first thing that came to mind about this work of art on my plate in front of me was the memory of a similar dish that I ate for the first time in Italy in 1989 and for the first time in my life. When a chef can revive 33-year-old memories, it's more than just great cinema. The service, the food and the ambience deserve more than “just” 5 stars.

Very nice restaurant, it was fantastic. The food was delicious and offered good quality price. The service was great, and the atmosphere, with pleasant music playing, was very enjoyable. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend it. I'll definitely be going back.

Dear Mr. Klingler, we don't know each other - but I know the two buildings you've started in Bremgarten all the better because I look at them every day from my shop. Unfortunately, we are not Zurich and these two historic buildings are essential for Bremgarten as well as for me personally. I moved my shop especially in good faith. I had the eggplant parm app and the sea bass. Both were outstanding. Additionally the cappuccino was delicious, the best one I had in Switzerland.

Since it was raining, our umbrella was used by their staff without our permission. There was no apology, just a cheeky answer. This scene seemed so absurd to us that we thought we were on the show “Hidden Camera.” The food was so bland and ordinary that we decided to remove their restaurant from our favorite places to eat.

The food was excellent but the service was extremely slow. Truffle beef tar tar was the best I've had. It's off the main road so it's nice and quite outdoor seating space, but no atmosphere.

I expected Klingler's to be like a top Italian restaurant. Unfortunately, this expectation was far from being met. All the dishes, including the side dishes, were not only bland, but also hardly seasoned. In my opinion, the ingredients are of decent quality but not top. There is no dish with a WOW effect where you can taste herbs, garlic, onions, oregano etc. as fresh ingredients. Everything seems very boring, unimaginative and at very high prices.

I think the portions are getting smaller and smaller, I've been there several times, pasta will be almost 80 grams or less value for money, well...

The prices are to be expected at this location - it's just a shame if the expected performance isn't right. We've been there three times so far. It is a restaurant with an Italian menu. The food didn't convince us as it wasn't authentically Italian. When it came to wine, we had an extremely difficult time finding something good. The wines are all far too young, there was no vintage older than 2019/20, which is a disgrace in a restaurant with 14 points. The service was really courteous and extremely nice. However, the recommendations were not very helpful. The ambience is atmospheric and elegantly furnished.

The food was delicious. The eggplant parmigiana was excellent as was the grilled salmon and rack of lamb. Tiramisu was good the creaminess of the pana-cotta went well with the mixed berry. We especially liked the service and Alessandro is a special guy!

This is an Italian restaurant. The menu is relatively short but it is hard to pick something because everything looks good. The salad was surprisingly good or unbelievably good for a boring greens salad. They're are quite a few veal dishes. The noodle soup with seafood had a nice mix of clams and prawns.

We felt comfortable and welcome, the food and the service staff were great, thank you. We'd love to come back.

Great Italian resturant, the food was so good on every level, the service was great, especially from Alessandro who was not only professional but also funny and give a nice joy to the dining experience. The place provide semi fine dining experience, With great ambience and great variety of menu selections. We chose to visit based in the reviews and honestly was very near to where we were standing! It’s much better to book before as it can be hard to get a table but we were very lucky. One more thing, the have incredible tiramisu, according to Alessandro it’s even hard to find in Italy 😁
