Cozy little coffee with a pastry shop. I felt welcome here

They say breakfast till 13:00 but actually stop at 12:00. Change the policy or stick to the policy.

After buying a hazelnut spread (240gr) we realized that the minimum shelf life would expire just 10 days later. The feedback from headquarters was that this was not a problem, as the product could easily be enjoyed for three months beyond its minimum shelf life. That's probably true, but we were still a little surprised by the "simple" feedback and that was it!! Conclusion: Will probably NEVER buy the product from Von Rotz again and ALWAYS check the expiry date on all other products from the store that we would like to use for a longer period of time (we would enjoy the 240g hazelnut spread for a longer period of time). Luckily, we have a large selection of bakeries in Baar and don't necessarily have to shop at Von Rotz that often. Yes, we would have imagined customer service to be a little different from the headquarters.

Fine pastries and interesting creations

The staff is friendly and the coffee was tasty. But if you sit outside you will be forgotten. The lady at the next table gave up after 30 minutes and left again.

Unfortunately not as good as it was before. The Butterbretzel is without real butter, the baguette is with brioche bread and the sandwiches not as good as they used to be. A little bit disappointing as it was our favourite bakery in Zug.

Very good products and nice caffè.

I bought a Ruchbrötli. Unfortunately, the small breads didn't come with any prices, so I chose one based on luck. But I was totally surprised that she was in the first place!!! 2.20 Fr!!!! for a small / unspectacular bread roll!!!! For that money you can get a whole loaf of bread somewhere else! Mess!!! If the saleswoman hadn't already put it in the bag, I would have returned it! I won't come back to Von Rotz like this. It doesn't work at all!

Best bakery I have visited in Switzerland so far - staff always very friendly and helpful!

We were there today (Sunday) and unfortunately we were quite disappointed. The service was quite unfriendly, in general all the employees were quite annoyed... no smiles, very serious... it's a shame... but the food was very tasty.

A pastry shop at its best, just the way I like it. Fine fresh sweets including cakes, great sandwiches and lots of delicious things to take away and give away, simply heavenly. I almost forgot: very nice and attentive service, a big BRAVO! See you next time, for sure.

UPD: Staff is sometimes nice, but sometimes busy and brisk as if they cannot wait to be rid of you. Frankly not very pleasant.

Are you looking for something sweet or savory? So you've come to the right place. The bakery is not far from the train station. Depending on the season or holidays, this store is decorated. The delicious baked goods and delicious dishes are also very tasty. The ambience is also the finest. Whether summer or winter and even on weekends it is open and cozy.

Fast and friendly service, free WiFi with password. Prices were reasonable for Swiss Cafe's. Ordered a Cafe Creme. Was delited to find out it came with a complimentary slice of coffee cake. Atmosphere is modern and clean, mainly black and silver. Furniture was comfortable. Newspaper and magazines are available for reading. Walking distance to train station, near Migros and Coop.

I used to go there often, but unfortunately it's been a disappointment several times recently!! The staff in Baar is extremely unfriendly and not competent! Won't shop there again! There's the bakery next door, where the staff is nice and my dog ​​is allowed to stand with me at the entrance for 2 minutes while I buy croissants! The deciding factor for my rating here: I had a voucher and wanted to use it to get croissants on a Sunday morning in winter! It was minus 7 degrees outside! So I went to the pastry shop with my little dog, 20cm tall, stopped right at the corner of the counter near the door and said: "Good morning, I would like 4 croissants". I wasn't told good morning or anything, just "tie your dog outside!" Then I said: "No, it's minus degrees and I'm not staying here, I just want my croissants and then I'll go back!" The unfriendly lady hissed at me that it wasn't her problem, that it was cold, I had to go out with the dog! Then I said: "Then please give me back the money for the voucher! She said yes! She disappeared, came back and said that wasn't possible, that I should just come back if I didn't have the Hud with me! So I took the voucher , I left and the voucher ended up in Güsel, this shop isn't even worth a voucher to me anymore! The discussion went on for so long that the lady could have used her common sense, given me the croissants and I would have gone away and been happy. Instead Acting kindly was discussed for 5 minutes!! And yes, I can read that it says you're not allowed to go into the store with dogs, but firstly I didn't want to go to the coffee shop, secondly it was minus degrees outside and thirdly you could see how small the dog was and that I only spent 2 minutes I would have been in the store and left with my croissants! It's about the lack of humanity and the way to communicate something and resolve a situation. It's a shame, but then I went to the bakery on the other side of the street with my dog ​​and they didn't say anything and I did some additional shopping and was served in a friendly manner! P.S Mr. von Rotz, 1. you shouldn't call your employees by name (data protection on the internet) ;-) 2. I am responsible AND 3. Ms. Iten was anything but polite! But obviously she doesn't have the best role model! Anyway - there are plenty of other good bakers in Zug!

Very good for a quick but cozy lunch directly opposite Baar train station. Good selection of soups. Particularly noteworthy are the take-away dishes, which are offered for a deposit in a preserving jar that can be returned later. This is an innovative, ecological packaging concept!

Quite an elegant place, but the Swiss staff are not too kind; the foreign staff, on the other hand, is much kinder. Furthermore, it is serious that in a place like this, when they serve coffee and cappuccino, they don't bring wipes and you have to ask for them. Not only that, but the water glasses are carried without a saucer. Elegance is not only given by the furnishings, but by the class of the service made by respecting the elementary rules of receiving.

Coffee and pastries are tasty, but the staff is not always friendly. We sat outside with our coffee to go and were turned away because we bought the coffee to go. Which I also find understandable. However, as a regular customer and when no one is sitting outside, I think the reaction is a bit exaggerated.

Great atmosphere for brunch, the breakfast tower is recommended 😍. It's always quite busy on Sundays, so it's better to reserve in advance. There are fine soups for lunch.
