Cozy Thai restaurant with very good cuisine.

We made a reservation online and received confirmation. When we arrived at 8pm the waitress said the restaurant was full. I emphasized the fact that we had reserved online and received confirmation. They didn't seem to care and said they don't honor online reservations. We have both worked in a restaurant and know how stressful the evening hours are for waitresses. A mistake like this can happen very quickly, which we certainly understand and it seemed like she was serving all the tables by herself. However, if the restaurant offers the option to reserve a table online, you should take this into account. I find it unprofessional to go all the way to Baar with a reservation in your pocket, only to be shown the door. Food may have smelled good but the poor organization forces me to give them 1 star.

Food really wasn't tasty. It was also delivered differently than ordered.

On Valentine's Day with my wife, we were unfortunately very disappointed. Food was great, service was catastrophic. It was different in the past, but with a downward trend - but also different staff. We waited 1 1/2 hours for the starter, the main course came another hour later. Tofu curry came with a few pieces of beef - not necessarily great for vegetarians. We were finally "allowed" to order our wine after receiving the main course... We have great understanding for errors and delays, but this was simply too much of a good thing. Sorry, we'll probably have to switch to other restaurants...

Is a nice place to have a casual meeting. Went here with a friend for dinner. Is not a crowded place. If your looking for a quite getaway from the daily chaos,, this could be a place for you. The menu they served were good and their portion sizes for main course was pretty ok. I personally think if they cut down a little on the prices on main courses would also be great.

Here a total of almost 50fr!! The food portion is very small and not worth the price, there was maybe 7 thin sliced beef as small as my little finger, that was 30fr! The Tom Yum soup in a small bowl (palm size) tasted like ready paste soup with two small shrimps and that was 17.5fr!!! Very disappointed as it was rated 4.8 on uber eat!

So that's not easy....it basically tasted good and is worth a visit...the staff is friendly and service is okay....But I've also had better Thai food...but still recommended... the price and performance ratio needs to be improved

Leider wurde das Pad Thai nicht geliefert. Als wir telefonisch nachgefragt haben, wurden wir informiert, dass wir den Fahrer kontaktieren müssten. Der Fahrer meinte, wir müssten Uber kontaktieren....... Wir wissen nicht, wo der Fehler liegt, auf jeden Fall fühlen wir uns übers Ohr gehauen.

Benjarong is always worth a visit: friendly staff, charming interior and excellent thai food at decent prices. My recommendation: try the Masaman Curry!

Das Essen war sehr fein, der Service lässt jedoch sehr zu wünschen übrig. Service hat Bestellung falsch aufgenommen und verrechnet. An Rechtfertigung und Ausreden hat es der Dame nicht gefehlt, anstelle sich zu entschuldigen hat Sie unnötige Diskussionen geführt. Fehler können passieren und mit einer angepassten Reaktion wären alle zufrieden gewesen. Denn die unverträgliche Sauce wurde ausgetauscht und das Essen war wirklich gut. Schade, dass wir wegen dem unqualifizierten Personal eine schlechte Kritik abgeben müssen und das Lokal deswegen wohl auch meiden werden.

Can only recommend this Thai restaurant. The food is very fine and fresh. Rarely have I had such a very good green Thai curry. The staff very friendly and attentive. The price is on the higher side and the portions are a bit small. Rice can be reordered at a small price.

Nach einer längeren Zeit haben wir das Benjarong wieder besucht. Sehr gute Küche und zuvorkommender Service. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Nach einem Vortrag in der nahe gelegenen Schule machten wir hier einen Erstbesuch. Dreimal: das erste, letzte und einzige Mal. Der Service liess sehr zu wünschen übrig. Der Amarone (8.50/dl) wurde einfach in einer Karaffe wie en billiger Tischwein serviert, ohne die Flasche zu zeigen und am Tisch in die Karaffe einzuschenken. Die Karaffe wurde einfach hingestellt. Einschenken musste man selber. Das Essen (ein Teller mit etwas Reis, wenig Gemüse und noch weniger Poulet für Fr. 27.- ist zu teuer. Nach dem Essen wurde mehr als 20 Minuten nicht abgeräumt. Und an den anderen Tischen warteten Die Gäste noch länger auf die Rechnung. Den von anderen Gästen erwähnten unterirdischen Service können wir nur bestätigen. Zum Glück gibt es in Baar gute Alternativen!

Visited here on a business trip as in the mood for Thai food. Centrally located. Really good service and delicious food. Papaya salad just spicy enough followed by beef massaman which was amazing. Tender beef and lots of it! Heartily recommended.

Ich war kürzlich in Thailand, wo ich sehr oft thailändische Gerichte probierte. Hier im Benjarong schmeckte mir das Essen ebenbürdig. Die Portionen sind grosszügig bemessen. Die Auswahl lässt keine Wünsche offen.Der Service war freundlich und man ist auf meine Wünsche eingegangen. Mir schmecken milde Gerichte und ich bin kein Fan von Zwiebeln (gehört einfach zum Thai-Essen!!). Man kam meinem Wunsch entgegen. Vielen Dank.Die Ambiance ist nett; dem Haus und den Räumen angepasst mit fernöstlichen Gegenständen. Die Lautstärke der Musik könnte für mich leiser sein oder sogar darauf verzichten.

Amazing restaurant! Good thai food!

This is a nice restaurant. Location convenient. Atmosphere nice. Good menu. Boring food. This is the second time I've tried it. Both times I was genuinely surprised I was eating in a Thai restaurant. I like heat but don't need it. The beauty of Thai food is the interplay of the ingredients. Like a fountain bursting with flavor profiles. There's none of that here. It just tastes of nothing reminiscent of Thai. I continue to go to Steinhausen for Thai.

Wir wollten mit der Familie einen runden Geburtstag geniessen. Der vorbestellte Tisch war schön mal nicht richtig eingedeckt. Nicht schlimm sollte man denken, aber es zog sich bis zur Abrechnung durch. Von der Bestellung bis dass das Essen auf dem Tisch war vergingen mehr als 70 Minuten. Wir waren mit 2 kindern! Hier wurde das Essen nicht vorher serviert und natürlich auch nicht wie bestellt. Keiner fragt, ob man noch was trinken möchte. Keinerlei Kommentar wegen der langen Dauer. Gäste die später kamen wurden vorher bedient. Das Essen war ok.Bei vorherigen besuchen in meinen Mittagspausen würde ich nie freundlich bedient! Versucht habe ich es immer wieder, aber jetzt ist Schluss! Der Abschied war übrigens Gruss los. Schade das Restaurant hätte Potential. Ich empfehle definitiv andere Alternativen im Umkreis von 15 km.

Disclaimer- I always review every place as a vegetarian. So my stars are based mostly on the quality of veg food. veg options- spring roll/ green curry with tofu, pad thai veg. The food is FANTASTIC. Ich war heute zum Mittagessen und habe ein Pad Thai mit Poulet ohne Erdnüsse bestellt.Als ich das Essen bekam, gab es Erdnüsse im Teller und die Kellnerin sagte "Hier ein Padthai ohne Erdnüsse". Ich zeigte ihr die Erdnüsse. Sie kam 20 Sekunden später. Die Erdnüsse wurden nur weggenommen. Ich sagte, dass es wegen einer Allergie nicht geht. Man machte mir einen neuen Teller. Dieses Mal gab es kein Poulet. Ich bekam das 4. Mal mei Essen mit der Erklärung von der Kellnerin, dass die Küche heute Schwierigkeiten hat. Sehr professionnell und verantwortungsvoll.Niemand hat einen Kaffee als Entschädigung angeboten und das Beste kam als ich bezahlt habe.Man fragte mich, ob alles gut ging. Dazu habe ich ganz deutlich "nein und gar nicht".Man hat mich nicht mal gefragt, was nicht gut war. Einfach einkassiert und Auf Wiedersehen.So ein schlechtes Service habe ich in der Schweiz noch nie erlebt.Echt schade, weil das Essen fein schmeckt. Allerdings gibt es andere Thai Restaurants im Kanton Zug.

Meine Frau bekam zu ihrem runden Geburtstag von Freunden einen Gutschein vom Thai-Restaurant Benjaron in Baar geschenkt,das wir bis anhing nicht gekannt hatten. Letzten Samstag war es soweit. Mit null Erwartungen gingen wir zum essen. Schon beim eintreten lies der herzliche Empfang unsere Herzen höher schlagen. Die liebevoll gedeckten Tische haben uns positiv überrascht. Dann der sehr freundliche Service und die hervorragenden Gerichte, wir können einfach sagen, einfach SUPPER!!!! gerne kommen wir wieder.

Very average food. Tom ka gay was disappointing and the curry below average: I mean not tasty, lacking any specific taste which would help you remind the experience in a positive way. I trust the kitchen is decent, but if you happen to go to Geneva to the Patara restaurant or even in Zurich at the Ban Song Thai you know what I'm talking about. Service was nice no complaint.

Very good authentic Thai food and a nice garden in the summer. I've been here twice and will definitely come back. I can definitely recommend the Massamam - upon request we also ordered a veggie version with tofu. And I also think the loving edible decorations (flowers made from vegetables), for example on the spring rolls, are very successful.

Das Essen war vorzüglich und mit Top-Produkten zubereitet und mit geschnitztem Gemüse wunderschön angerichtet. Ob drinnen oder draussen, mir hat das Ambiente sehr gefallen. Dank des angrenzenden Gartens äusserst gemütlich. Die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Khap kuhn krap!

Wir waren dort am späten Nachmittag fast nach der Eröffnung - einfach glücklich etwas zu essen zu geben nach einem Tag in der Sonne. Nach Gesprächen mit der Küche sie beschlossen, dass wir durften zum essen ( mit einem Schild 17 : 00 und es war 17 : 15 ) . . . . . . . . . .Atmosphäre war ganz einfach im Garten ( wie frühere Bemerkungen ) aber es war viel besser als nichts innen bei 27 °C. schließlich war der Service freundlich und schnell. Nicht sehr professionell, aber so was - wir bekamen, was wir wollten.Das Essen war ok. Nichts Besonderes aber Tarifhinterlegung und lecker. Wahrscheinlich meine Expertise sind auf Ebene oder über der Koch. aber ich, dass sich zumindest bedeutete, dass wir es essen : - ) In der Tat Ich mochte den Geschmack und zubereiten.Die Preise waren Zug/Zürich Level. Ein kleiner Teil wenn Reis und eine kleine Schale mit Sauce. Gemeinsames Vorspeisen und ein Bier jedes macht 110 Franken. Sie wissen, wie es ist in der Schweiz - geben Sie lieber 10 Dollar mehr und Sie sind im Himmel. In anderen Worten Preis / Leistungsverhältnis sind nicht im Gleichgewicht. Überhaupt nicht. Aber wir hatten keinen Appetit mehr!

Ordered takeaway menu on the phone, arrived and paid, and waited as the my first meal sat there and the second was made. Was eventually told that they were out of my second choice and that I would have to take a green curry as an alternative. No price reduction, little in the way of an apology offered. It was 9:20 on a Friday night - there are little other options around so I agreed - this then took another 15 minutes to cook - all the time my first meal sat packaged on the counter. When I stated that I didn't think that being told my meal wasn't available 5 minutes after I'd paid for it and for my first meal to be sat on the counter going cold I was asked why I was 'always complaining' and 'what did I want?'. The rudeness and the level of customer service was truly awful - it might explain why there were only two tables being used on a Friday night...
