Good coffee place in the heart of old town with a wide variety of coffees, lattes, and teas. Nice pastry selection as well.

Nice little hipster cafe in the old town of Geneva. Serves good coffee and cheese cake. Has a lovely cosy courtyard at the back of the cafe.

The drinks are original and very good. But consumption on site is a little excessive. Already the price of the chicken club sandwich is a little unreasonable for the quality and quantity (15chf) but an increase of 5 francs is applied to consume it inside the café and nothing is specified at the checkout. 28 francs per club which doesn't break bricks + a latte, much too expensive to pay. The prices are in line with the rest of the country, but it is good and the service was excellent.

The place is very nice , but the cake and drink were not good . I tried a lavander martini drink it was horrible ! The pear cake was ok, but not the best! The service terrible we waiting so long to be served !

although the lattes are very good, unfortunately they are always cold. also the staff are rude and when you ask a question they give rude answers, I think they should be more polite. it's a nice cafe in Geneva, the garden is very pleasant, especially in summer. the tea is very good. as long as they don't serve the lattes cold, that's fine too.

Their rose Latte, Safran Latte, and Lavender Meil Latte are super good.

Clean atmosphere, fresh products, good quality. The ginger drink tasted more like rose water than ginger.

Slightly above average coffee shop. The pie is quite decent. Staff were extremely friendly and walked me through different pie choices.

Very warm and welcoming place. We went to this cafe with my partner by chance and I highly recommend it. All the attentive staff are smiling. Very nice cafe from the outside. Avocado toast that's half rotten. Pretty. Received as “don’t worry, you can eat that, it’s like bananas” explanation. Great. On the aesthetic side we don't talk about it. Redo? No. “We can get you a piece of avocado that’s a little greener,” which was never done. I don't recommend.

I really like coming to this place for a coffee and pastry. I come at least once every week or two. The people working there are always very sociable and the outdoor and courtyard seating is really nice. I personally don’t love their menu options (beyond pastries), but they are all not bad. I think a fancier person would appreciate the menu more. Espresso is always good, and there is an interesting selection of non-coffee options, like kombucha, Mate, etc.

Great address in Geneva! Nestled in the old town at the bend of an alley, it is a warm and soothing place that we discovered. The sweets are very good there and the drinks too. There are many choices. The staff is great.

Great coffee place, with a healthy light-weight food menu in central Geneva. Extra plus for the extended opening hours, one of the few places that was one on a Sunday morning. Make sure that you don’t miss the cozy backyard seating, especially on a warm and sunny day.

I'm used to drinking my coffees here which are excellent 👌🏻 However, I had a Green smoothie yesterday which was not good, too much banana, clearly banana juice. The terrace is just sublime, it’s worth it for snacks

Love La Bastide, my favourite cafe in Geneva. Really nice staff, very nice light food with my preferred item being the sliced eggs and avo with smoked salmon on thin thyme bread. Great jasmine green tea and tasty coffee. Perfect location, nice outdoor rear seating area and front elegant outdoor seating, in a spot where there are no noisy crowds. Of course, indoor seating is very comfortable and well laid out.

The service and atmosphere are great. But honestly I had a very bad experience with the Matcha latte. It was really bad and khaki in color. I am quite experienced with Matcha and this is absolutely not the experience to be had and even less so with the prices charged. I took it to go, otherwise I would have come back and asked for another one. I threw away the entire drink. Damage...

I went to la Bastide during my visit to Geneva and had an amazing experience. The staff was very friendly. Their rose and lavender latté and the lemon cake are a must. I came back twice!

SCANDALOUS SOUND NOISE: The manager/s of this café have no regard for the neighbors and allow their noisy visitors to disturb the interior courtyard of these 4 buildings without any scruple. Squawking/ SCREAMING never ends, customers do ANYTHING. SCANDALOUS SOUND NOISE.

The garden was very nice, but the staff was unwelcoming. They have a lot of nice beverage.

The coffee was good but the food is mediocre at best, we ordered this babka and it was so hard and stale.

A good place to eat something light in the center of Geneva. Good service and very good atmosphere. Light food and good coffees. Prices according to the area and city. Recommendable.

A cute place with the worst avocado toasts and a bad service. Last time they brought coffee in a dirty cup and today I had an oversalted toast that you can’t really call a toast, just a piece of white bread. Girls that work there are just lost.

La Bastide is an amazing find in Old Town Geneva. The ambiance and staff are quite friendly, and the decor is effortless. I tried the Spanish latte with lavender which was amazing! If you like lattes and lavender, which seems to be the theme of the menu, definitely give this place a chance. The only cons is the price; a latte is around 7.50 chf which is considerably higher than other places. But the taste and the place make up for it, at least for me.

Waited long with my toddler. I understand they were a bit busy but I felt like they would talk to customers who came after us and ignored us. Waste of time.

The quality of products and service has dropped significantly, which is a shame. Today the soup was bland and the cake dry. I reported it but the waitress had absolutely no reaction.

The Sculpt infusion is delicious! Honestly a good assortment of flavors! It’s still a bit expensive, I think (7.90 CHF). The service has never disappointed me, there is a warm atmosphere.

Tasty coffee i’ve tried the flat white and the cappuccino 👍🏼. They have incredible outdoor area that was cozy and beautiful.

Not too many vegan options when it come to food but what is available is delicious. The drinks menu is filled with vegan options.

The ambiance is very good. Cozy and nice. The coffee is just OK.

Strengths: a nice, well-kept (aesthetic) place open on Sundays. Excellent for tea time with friends. Desserts could be improved, the flan was good. Tip: saffron milk! WOW!

The place is very chill. I loved their matcha rose latte. The price is very good considering their location, service and food quality.

The cinnamon latte is so good here. The cafe looks really chic. It’s a good place for meeting up with friends. We didn’t try the food but I think it will be good too.

As someone who doesn't drink coffee, I hate that most coffee shops only have chai lattes, matcha lattes, and hot chocolate available for non-coffee drinkers who still want a hot drink in the ambiance of a coffee shop. La Bastide without question sets the standard for non-coffee drinks, offering any of their amazing flavored lattes with either a tea or coffee base. I've been here probably a dozen times now and am patiently waiting for the day that other cafes will follow La Bastide's lead with its delicious tea lattes. And the breads and cakes are always delicious too, with the cutest little garden to enjoy everything in out back!

Very cute little tea room, perfect for warming up in winter with one of their special coffees/teas (saffron, lavender etc.) as well as their good pastries.

The staff is super nice! I accidentally spilled my latte... and they kindly offered me a second one! By the way, I highly recommend the Honey Lavender Latte :)

For a fancy-looking coffee, three poor pistachio dusts sprinkled here and there on the surface of our latte. What's more, it stayed on our stomachs! Extremely disappointed with this experience. Not to mention the unprecedentedly slow service and excessively high prices.

Interesting menu and stylish place but the service is SLOW. It took 20min to receive 2 drinks and a slice of cake, and it wasn’t busy. Overall a little pretentious and not particularly comfortable. Would rather go to other coffee shops in the old town which serve better quality drinks

A hidden gem on Grand Rue Old town

Cozy coffee shop in Old Town, with a quiet patio in the back. If you visit, do try their coffee and cakes, as a tourist I found this gem very reasonable with its prices

The place was half empty, yet the servers dismissively told me that it would take up from 20 minutes to get coffee.

La Bastide has a very nice touch when it comes to presentation and layout of their dishes. It’s the only place of its sorts in the old town, which brings a tiny bit of state of the art instagrammability to the area 😅. The atmosphere is very girly and that translates to the predominant audience of La Bastide. The food is well prepared although not a single time I’ve visited I could get what I craved for: maybe I’m always late or more menu option should be better stocked. The portions vary in size: once I was really satisfied by my meal, another one I left pretty much still hungry, so better be asking before ordering 😅. I’ve had a similar experiences with quality: once the sponge cake was dry (I presume not fresh), another time was delicious. It’s one of my fav stops downtown, but more consistency and larger portions (with same prices 😇) would do well.

We arrived at 17.50, instead of telling us: place is closing, we were served only drinks in disposable cups, they served us chocolate and tea in paper cups. Very poor service.

Such a cute little cafe with absolutely delicious tea lattes! I've tried many of them at this point, and they've all been amazing, but the rose latte is truly top notch! Really yummy breads too, and friendly staff. One of my favorite spots in Geneva.
