cannot review as much as I couldn't try, I can only say that the waiter made us believe there were available tables, but finally after checking on the computer there was none, so it was a bit disappointing, maybe best would have been to tell directly when we entered, or put a sign outside as fully booked.

Great quality pizza, friendly and attentive staff. Set out of the restaurant and atmosphere was lovely. Pizza was quite large - would recommend sharing if you're not up for a huge feed. First Europe experience with pizza and we learned they don't cut it for you! Provided with knife and fork which was quite tricky, nearly lost my pizza off the plate a couple of times. A bit pricey but it was worth it - great pizza.

Whist the pizza is great the service is horrific. Arrived at 13:37 to get 2 pizza’s to go and was told they were done making food even though they only close at 14. I drove over 40 minutes to come and try this place again and what can I say besides an absolute waste of time and effort. Pathetic service, will not try again.

Pizzeria La Bestia is just a few minutes' walk from HB Luzern. We chose this restaurant straight away and were not disappointed! Reservations are recommended as the restaurant is very busy. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating! We chose the monthly pizza PIZZA DEL MESE - MELANZANE, TARTUFO DEL BOSCO (vegi) and Pizza Margherita in the form of a star! Pizza Del Mese Melanzane and Pizza Tartufo Del Bosco were a great surprise in terms of taste and recommend to everyone! I can give it 10/10 in good conscience! We'll definitely come back just for the Neapolitan pizza!

The pizza here is one of the best if not THE BEST you will ever try. But what makes it even better is the service. The most attentive and kind staff will make you feel more than welcome and happy to help you with anything you might need. So if you have the chance its a must visit. In the evening it can get quite full and although they will try their best to find a space for you, its better to call ahead and make a reservation.

We went as two, tables were occupied (Thursday it was). Although, we had no reservation, we got the table in 5 minutes, easy. We got our beverages in less than 5 minutes and in ~ 25 minutes got the two delicious pizzas (not american dough type, proper italian, thin). The waiter deserves credits, name Nicolas (as a Cage), was polite, friendly and humorous. All was fine as expected. Atmosphere satisfying, menu fulfilling. Recommend in Luzern for Pizza lovers

Pizza at a TOP level. Price-performance is absolutely fair for the quality you get. For 26 CHF I had a Calabrese with olives. The Rustico dough is recommended 💯 Staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Truly the best pizza I've ever had! Super fine dough and great topping! The tomato sauce was very aromatic and the salami was perfectly crispy! I also thought it was great that there were other aperitif drinks than just Aperol and Hugo! The great food was rounded off by the relaxed and humorous service! You'll immediately feel like you're in Bella Italia <3

Good pizza, mediocre atmosphere, we were informed right at the beginning that we had to vacate the table again in 1.5 hours and that just didn't create a very comfortable atmosphere.

I entered at 6:30 without a reservation, but luckily there was a table available so I sat down right away. It's really close to the station The atmosphere was good too There were a lot of local people, but I think they would notice if I didn't order one pizza per person. The male employee asked if I ordered one pizza per person. Because it was a wood-fired pizza, it was delicious. I ordered 2 colas and 2 pizzas and it came to 68 francs. Worth going and eating at least once

Honestly, quite a disappointment given the rave reviews. Our pizza expectations generally don't include the apparently standard Italian ethic of a soggy middle, and we have found Italian places in CH that don't share it. Our pizzas here tasted good and the outer crust was nice, but holding a slice was not an option.. and both pizzas suffered this same malady.

Known as the best pizzeria in Lucerne. I was skeptical whether the pizza really stood out that much from others... but lo and behold - it does. Wow, how good was this Calabrese pizza! Dough perfect. Tomato sauce is incredibly tasty and accompanied by intense, slightly spicy salami. The salad that was served with lunch was also delicious. It certainly wasn't the last time here.

The service was very friendly and approachable, OG stood out very much with her friendly and warm manner. The food was also extremely good and I can only recommend the pizzas. It definitely wasn't my last time and I'd love to come back.

It was the best restaurant in Lucerne. The first impression of the dough was that it had a crispy and chewy texture while eating it, and the freshness of the ingredients on the thin dough and the unsophisticated sauce went well together. The saltiness typical of European food was just right. The pizza here was the best, and while we were eating it, our couple kept saying it was delicious. We were the only Koreans on the team, and the rest were full of locals. I thought it would do really well if they sold it in Korea too!!! Also, I was told it would come out small because it's a medium size, so I ordered two, but wow, that's a lot. I shared two with my husband, and I could barely finish one pizza, and they packed the remaining pizza in a box, so there was only one pizza left!! The kindness of the owner was also excellent. The words he used were delicate and gentle, and his tone of speaking was also gentle. It was my first time traveling in Europe. He was so kind to me. I want to visit again next time. I think I'll be thinking about pizza. Seriously! (yesterday) I’m eating the leftover pizza right now (good)

Last night I visited "La Bestia" spontaneously and without a reservation, for the first time. A table was quickly organized with the friendly and clear message that it would be reserved again from 8 p.m. The pizza was world class, the ambience was lively and authentic. I would particularly like to emphasize the warm hospitality and friendliness of the service staff including the boss. I was asked several times if everything was okay, everyone always had a smile on their faces, and I felt very positive energy and real empathy. I was said goodbye with a “nice that you were there”. This is how gastronomy should be, an experience on all levels. I will definitely come again.

The pizza toppings were great. The food was very tasty, the price was rather high as usual in Switzerland.

I can confirm that. The fact that I can choose different types of dough is also commendable. So off to la Bestia. The folding chairs could be a little more comfortable, but they don't detract from the overall impression.

Food is good. As previous reviewers have said they definitely treat you on the way you look. So overall it’s not a good experience even if the food is good. As a tourist we don’t know different cuisines we’ll definitely have doubts regarding it ,they explain, but they make fun of it after going to the counter. Being in Lucerne which is a tourist destination they are definitely not open to visitors.

We visited the pizzeria spontaneously. My impressions were very mixed and so was the awarding of the stars. The staff was courteous, friendly and personable. I deducted one star from the service because no printed menu is provided. A plate on the table with a QR code allows access to an online menu. There is free open WiFi available. So far so good, or in my opinion so inadequate. I didn't have a data connection with my network provider and unsecured networks are definitely not recommended. In addition, not all customers probably have a cell phone that can read QR codes. The menu also takes some getting used to. Despite all the criticism, I would like to emphasize that the two most important points in a restaurant were excellent: the friendly service and the quality of the food. A review that only praises provides no evidence of improvement. The shortcomings we perceive: First and foremost: going to the toilet is not recommended. The toilets themselves are fine, but the path is clean and lighting and labeling is downright terrible. The menu is small and mostly limited to pizzas. These are unusually original in composition and, as we mentioned, impeccable in taste and appearance. However, the prices are based on a popular tourist city... Ultimately, the ambience of the restaurant is not worthy of the quality of the food and the staff. It's actually astonishing that so little attention is paid to these points, which could be greatly improved with little effort and financial resources. It's a shame.

I was in Lucerne on business on November 22, 2023 and was able to eat a super good Gran Cotto pizza. This was one of the best pizzas for me. The food as well as the service was excellent! The next time I'm in Lucerne, I'll be happy to come back ;) Thank you!

Best Pizza and Services in Town

I LOVED this place! I would come here everyday if I could. My boyfriend and I came here on our small trip to luzern and this is hands down the best pizza I have ever had. The service was amazing and as Americans- we wanted some goood pizza. Service was quick and they were very busy, but we managed to walk in with no reservation. I would 10000% come here again and would recommend 10000% to anyone traveling here. It is so yummy. I got the the La bestia pizza & my boyfriend got the margarita w added buffalo mozzarella. Loved the management! ❤️❤️

I was there with my business and we all had a pizza, some were really very good, but others were not good. The ambience was okay, nothing special. The service took a little long, e.g. I took a bar and waited 7-9 minutes for it and there wasn't as much going on as that would be normal. A big negative point I had to give was the price. A pizza for 35 Fr. - that's just way too much. Overall just 3 stars.
