Restaurants have long since stopped just serving food. They have become gastronomic experiences where every detail counts. From service to decoration. From the wine cellar to what comes on the plate. Mama Leone in Luzern has it all. That the meal lasts, long after digestion, in the memory of those who go there, a restaurant like this is rare. In advance, a big thank you to chef José who makes delicious dishes and to the entire kitchen team (the good organization at Prato is well known), I would also like to thank chef Márcio Santos for his kindness and hospitality, I would like to say a special thank you to Services Jenny, Caetano, Daniela, and Veronica. You'll see each other again soon for sure.

Very good place, I recommend it, my son loved the gluten-free pizza. In addition, they took care to assist us in Spanish, the girl from Hungary, the girl from Slovenia and the boy from Naples were geniuses.

Terrific! We would love to be pampered there again! This is one of the last good restaurants left in Lucerne.

In this Italian restaurant I not only experienced delicious pasta, but also a touch of amusing creativity. The pasta dishes were so intricately shaped that they put even Da Vinci's best pasta art to shame. A place that proves that good food can bring joy not only to the mouth but also to the imagination!

Excellent service! We first sat at a table near the exit, where there was a strong draft. We had already had an aperitif and were still offered a table further back that had just become available. Everyone was very polite, attentive and competent. A rarity. The food was also excellent. The Ossobuca was delicious, the wine list was extensive, but on the higher end. The restaurant is beautiful, well-kept and elegant. Without a reservation it will definitely be difficult to get a table.

We spent a cozy New Year's Eve there.

I'll say it right away: classic, authentic cuisine, very well cooked and skilful and attentive service. I have to admit that I was more than sceptical when we entered this restaurant in the tourist heart of Lucerne and saw the salads already prepared in the display case, like a ski resort that wants to be ready for the big rush. But then only positive surprises. Wonderful light ravioli al burrata on a bed of aubergine mousse followed by this sensation of osso bucco (enough for 5 if antipasti and primi are chosen beforehand). A good selection of wines was also recommended. Will definitely be back and can really recommend it - even over lunch. Osso Bucco may need to be reserved, it takes 48 to become so tender. It

My boyfriend and I shared a meal here on New Years Eve and the service was the best we have had in Switzerland. Our server Gaetano was so accommodating, welcoming and friendly. Even though the restaurant was very busy due to New Years Eve, he still gave us all of the attention that he could. He even gave us recommendations around Lucerne for after dinner. The meal was also fantastic. Highly recommend for anyone travelling to Lucerne.

If the waiter complains loudly in Italian about other guests because they want to split the bill, I don't feel welcome as a guest.

For me personally one of the best Italian restaurants in the city. And the best pizza: fluffy dough, fine tomato sauce with not too much salt, good cheese. The salads are also very tasty. I find the service to be very friendly, courteous and professional. I would be very happy to come back.

We were there last summer. The pizzas were great. The request for normal salami instead of hot salami on the pizza was also addressed.

The service is SOOOO GOOD and friendly! Give the service 848448 stars!!!! Food sooo cool and well made. Ambience very nice. You can laugh at the guests, some of them look like they've had fifteen facial cosmetic surgeries. Children's pizza is so sweet and looks like a bear. You can order everything, from A for Asian dough balls to Z for electric eel 😂. Just sooooo good

Everything was very good. Pizza top! Unfortunately, in winter it drafts when the door opens. And speaking of the knives, they should be replaced by Victorinox. Just a tip. Come back.

Very nice Italian restaurant just off the river in Old Town Lucerne. We managed to get in without a reservation around 12:30 on a Friday (November 10). The food was excellent authentic Italian. My wife had the lobster and scallops and I had a vegetarian version of the special of the day. We also had the beetroot carpaccio as a starter. Everything we had was delicious. They have an extensive wine list with a variety of price ranges, You will surely find something good at a reasonable price, as we did (a Nebbiola D'A;ba). The service was excellent with Leon taking fantastic care of us. Everyone is very pleasant and helpful. You will get by with any major language here. Our lunch here was very well worth it.

I ate outside and can't say what it's like to eat inside. Service was good and friendly. I had ravioli and they tasted delicious. My friend was also very happy with his pizza.

I would like to post a photo. But unfortunately you are sent away at 2 p.m. if you just want to have a drink on the terrace. It's a shame that another restaurant doesn't depend on its guests. 90% of them are tourists who only come once. That's why they probably don't have to be served satisfactorily.

Spontaneous visit to the restaurant in the early afternoon. We spent the time outside. Very attentive waiter. We ate ravioli di burrata and spaghetti all'aglio. The food was very tasty (the best ravioli in a long time). And all of this at a very good price/performance ratio. In our opinion, a visit there is absolutely recommended.

The food was very good. Price performance was rather in the higher segment but was completely fine. Homemade fettuccini was very tasty, entrecote was super tender and cooked just right. Restaurant located on a pretty square in Lucerne which is a city not to be missed. Very good cuisine and beautiful presentation of the dishes ordered: tuna tataki, buffala mozzarella, octopus, queen pizza. Fast service. We did not need to book as we arrived around 7:30 p.m.

Good Italian restaurant (under Portuguese management) with a solid ambience inside, less great on the terrace / forecourt, does not correspond to the quality of the restaurant!! The food is good to very good, but overall the finishing touches are missing to make it excellent!!! Good value for money! Nice wine selection!

Tourist Trap! They charge extra for sharing our pizza and pasta! The food at best was average.

Everything was pretty average, except the price, which was rather above average.

The menu with Vitello Tonnato was ok. For starters you could choose between salad and soup. The Vitello tonnato had another large salad garnish on it - that could have been left out. But more could be done in terms of taste. The service staff was friendly, but there could certainly be more. The ambience is okay, the seating is a bit tight.

Professionalism combined with a lot of panache is an art (extinct in the world of gastronomy) that is reflected in emotions. Pleasant, relaxed atmosphere with a wide range of options, for all tastes. I have been a regular guest at this restaurant for years. Unfortunately, I have found that the quality of the food has become significantly worse. It doesn't suit me anymore. I regret that I cannot recommend the restaurant based on my experience. There are better options in the area for good food and a pleasant atmosphere.

The pizzas were good size and very tasty.

We opened the ice cream stand again even though they had actually already closed it.

Popped in here for a bite to eat while walking around town. I was attracted by the opportunity to sit outside on the first warm days of spring. Ordered a Margherita pizza, a cappuccino and a glass of red wine. The order was taken quickly, the drinks were brought immediately, the pizza a little later. The pizza was offered with hot sauce, which was spot on. The pizza wasn't bad, but it was hard to cut. There are no complaints about everything else. All liked it.

We had lunch here few time when we were visiting Luzern. The food is great, the staff is very friendly and food was brought in a decent amount of time, even in very busy times. The reason for giving 4 stars is the coffee. I love coffee and unfortunately the one served in the restaurant was not great. I had a cappuccino that I could not drink.
