Food is ok, but nothing special if looking for authentic Italian.

Frankly disappointed. In terms of cuisine, as I have read in other comments, the dishes are actually not worthy of a real Italian restaurant. We had pizza, orecchiette and spaghetti vongole. The pasta was extremely salty and uninspiring. The pizza was nothing like an Italian pizza: hard dough, truffle that didn't taste like truffle, difficult to digest. Sparkling water, which is a carafe of still water apparently transformed into sparkling water (not bottled), costs CHF 6.50 which is really excessive. Service level, no responsiveness even though the room was empty, long wait. The only positive point is the decor of the restaurant which is pleasant. We won't go back, it doesn't make us want to.

Very pleasant place, with good food and friendly service. That said, the service is relatively slow. I recommend the place for good Italian food and a good time, but with time on your hands!

The cooking remains worthy of an Italian restaurant, their waiter who took care of us was very helpful. On the other hand, prepare to pay for everything! We were a table of 20 people celebrating a birthday as usual, we always bring a small cake to sing happy birthday, when we asked the staff, we were looked down upon because we only had a black forest "migros", and we are asked 5chf per person for abuse costs for simply cutting a cake (and washing the plates). We were asked 100chf to cut a cake and put it on a plate, this is scandalous, we have never seen this in other restaurants and yet we always do it like this on birthdays, the waiter seemed sorry but the chef service didn't want to know anything. Too bad because it gives a bad image for other guests who would like to celebrate their birthdays here, for a table of 20 people, we generally make a gesture. Despite everything, the food is good, the service is fast and impeccable.

Despite an up-to-date menu and cuisine, the service ruins everything. Really very little professional sense, management must take training measures to align the quality of its cuisine with the customer experience. Saturday evening to be avoided.

Deplorable and unprofessional service, very average quality of food for completely ordinary Bolognese-style pasta de la mama, only the place is friendly but little can be done much better on the other services.

I recently visited the Mamma Osteria restaurant in Lausanne and was pleasantly surprised by their food which was very good. Even if the dishes don't seem traditional like in a small 100% Italian pizzeria, I still enjoyed it. The strong point of this restaurant is undoubtedly its charming atmosphere. The venue is beautifully decorated, with attention to detail. I loved their rustic water jugs and elegant tableware. The restaurant staff were friendly and attentive. Although the service is a bit slow. I was very surprised by their efficiency and helpfulness. Overall, I had a pleasant time at Mamma Osteria which is located next to the train station which is very convenient.

Magnificent location and decoration! The map clearly lacks substance. Kitchen ok nothing more. Disastrous service: inattentive, slow, not responsive, not smiling.

Nice atmosphere, helpful staff. Cuisine not worthy of a good Italian restaurant. Very average drinks and aperitif menu. Not even an Italian beer. Cardinal, that tastes better... Green salad without sauce... The worst was the Tartufo which had no taste of truffle. The truffle was gone... Obviously we were not the first to have made the remark... The Grand Chef knew it but did not remove it from the menu. No words of apology or commercial gesture. Very disappointing and unprofessional. In other words definitely not recommendable. Sad for the staff who were friendly but that is not enough.

The waitress Kim is great, the others really have to wake them up and the food is better, the welcome is not too good, they make you wait 20 minutes at the entrance

Used to be my favorite place to grab a pizza in Lausanne ; I don't know what happened but it's not as good as it used to be (and it was fantastic). That's sad.

Probably one of my favorite places in Lausanne!! Discovered a bit by chance on a bad weather day, I didn't think I would come across such a pretty place, with incredible service and a whole bunch of excellent things to eat. The place is warm, absolutely magnificent, almost captivating and the quality service only adds value to all of this. The prices are completely normal and in such a place with such service: it's well worth it! All the coffees are delicious and the view nourishes us too!!

We always a nice time there. Very nice atmosphere, staff and italian food. Affordable for Lausanne. One of our favourite italian places in Lausanne.

The atonement is quite nice. There is the Italian part at the front and a Thai part at the back. The employees speak very poor English. He also seemed a bit lost in other ways. Accordingly, the order didn't work out very well. One pizza came out right, the other came out wrong. The pizza itself tasted quite good. However, it wasn't worth the price. The truffle didn't taste like anything. You can certainly go by, but there are certainly better alternatives.

Because there were so many people, it took a while after the main course. Otherwise quick service and friendly, attentive service. Good value for money. Best pizza far and wide. The homemade iced tea, also delicious.

We had a nice meal with friends this evening at this establishment. A nice decor, well placed near the station. A bit slow and inattentive service. In addition, the young waiter who took care of us goes to our table, leaves us the bill, and comes back telling us that he forgot to mark the desserts. And of course, as if by magic, he knows the total of the 3 directly, which he adds to the bill in his head. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask him for the receipt for this last payment. He made a nice tip with this old technique.

The cuisine is of good quality, the dishes are copious and served hot in a timely manner. The service on the other hand is of poor quality, things are forgotten and to call the waiter, you will need motivation and patience. Pretty good atmosphere too.

We waited forever for the food! Approx one hour for a pizza and a pasta! Although the restaurant was half empty! The pizza was ok. The pasta looked like a soup. And i don’t really recommend getting cocktails there.

The meal was super nice, the food was good, on the other hand, the fact that the waitress doesn't speak French, I don't think it's great, even if in my table everyone spoke English, we're in a restaurant in Switzerland, we waiting to be served in French.

Stopping for a coffee, having to wait longer than necessary even though there aren't many people around, ordering from an unfriendly waitress, paying in cash only to have to go get your change yourself because the waitress has forget! Catering in Switzerland must make efforts, it is not possible to be served by such unhelpful people who give the impression of not wanting to be there!

I had truffle gnocchi, a few small pieces of truffle grated on top but even with that no taste of truffle. Plate composed of butter, oil and cream, tasteless. I was able to vomit it again 20 minutes later. All this for an additional 29.- per dish. In addition, the others' dishes were of the same quality, pizza not great (a pizza! How is that possible), dough not cooked (not even al dente), in short, don't go there

Great classic Italian staples. You can tell server is quite new, but very helpful and smiley which makes up for it. Good comes out quick. Good reliable place.

I would like to give an opinion on the poor quality of service that our group received in this restaurant. Steven the manager of the evening was disrespectful, rude, arrogant and almost aggressive. It's very rare that I find myself in such a situation.

Top service, especially Kim who made us feel very welcome! The dishes are excellent and the atmosphere very pleasant.

This was once one of my favorite restaurants in Lausanne. But not more. The staff and the food are terrible. The bread was all burnt and too hard. The cheese for the pizza was mediocre. It's a big shame.

Chart your course. Only my cocktail was good. The truffle pasta really wasn't good, I didn't eat anything. Not to mention the bread which was obviously not fresh!!!

We had a large table and the service was quick and smooth. The price is very affordable and the food is excellent. I am very satisfied. Thank you to the pleasant and attentive servers. I recommend. (Small downside on the plants hanging from the ceiling which are annoying for tall people)

A desaster. I can't judge the quality of the dishes since we never received them, despite waiting for more than 1 hour 10 minutes. For pizza and pasta in a trattoria, it's exaggerated. We were told that the kitchen prepared according to the type of dish. First of all, what a lame explanation, and then, 2 tables that arrived after us received…pizzas and pasta. The decoration is nice though. We had plenty of time to observe it.

Arrived on a Sunday at 12 p.m., good welcome, plenty of room, the order was not quite right, and the waitress was not very attentive, otherwise the pizza was quite good.

It was nice and welcoming. There were two staffs at the service, but they did their best job. It was quick, efficient and friendly. I had the daily menu which was grilled salmon with grilled veggies, green salad and pommes duchesse . It was excellent. The pizza was good too. Excellent value for money (19 CHF for daily menu). I'd go back again.

I just visited this Italian restaurant and was really impressed with their focaccia. It was probably the best I've ever tasted, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a lovely flavor from the olive oil and garlic. I also liked the fact that they serve the drinks with paste straws, which are ecological and really original. However, I was a little disappointed that they don't cut their focaccia before serving it. This can be difficult to eat, especially if you are in a group and want to share your focaccia. It's a minor detail, but it would have been nice to have the slices already cut. Overall, I definitely recommend this restaurant for their exceptional focaccia and eco-friendly approach to drinks. However, if you plan to share focaccia with friends, you'll need to bring your own knife.

Avoid at all costs. Pathetic spaghetti vongole (vongole obviously in a can placed in three shells), heavy sauce, overcooked pasta. Service to match the dish. People practically throw things on the table at you while barely looking at you. “Low cost” experience… except for the bill. I don’t know who this “Mamma” is, but she’s definitely not Italian!

Incredibly good. The truffle gnocchi are very good, maybe not good enough though. The tuna pizza is very good, it’s been a long time since I ate a pizza like that. And the tiramisu is very well balanced, not too sweet, a real treat.

“The worst pasta of my life” was my wife's comment. It went better for me (pizza) but not by much. If you expect Italian cuisine, go somewhere else.

We came at noon and all 3 took the chef's suggestion (main course) this one was not very filling and bathed in cream and in uneven quantity. In addition, the bread and water service was not provided. We continued our meal at Mc Donald with a much more efficient service (digital terminal)!

We wanted to try this Italian restaurant near the station. Unfortunately we were somewhat disappointed. The staff was very friendly, however the waiting time was too long. We had to wait a little over 30 minutes before we could order. As for the food, it wasn't particularly bad, but the margherita pizza I ate was by far not one of the best pizzas I ate in Lausanne. I plan to come back another time to form a better opinion that is not based on a single experience.

This restaurant is: Waiting 50 minutes to receive dishes that we did not order and seeing the amateurism of the staff in trying to manage the situation. We preferred to leave and were very well received at the Bavaria Brewery upstairs on the same street. Seated and starters served within 10 minutes.

The place is very pretty! The staff is friendly. The service time is sometimes a little long but reasonable. I had the truffle pasta: the sauce was very good but the pasta was a little overcooked. The starter which consisted of eggplants was really very, very good! to finish, the panna cotta was also good. Great discovery, I will come back! Remember to book, we were lucky to have a place without reservation.

Unfriendly and unwelcoming staff. Non-quality food that does not deserve to be associated with Italian culinary culture. Pizzas that look and taste like frozen pizzas, pizza dough not at all fluffy and mediocre ingredients.

The place is nice and well decorated. The service is good. However, the food is mediocre and definitely not worth the high prices. We had two pizzas. The ingredients are fresh but the pizza dough is dense and not airy, so it only looks Napolitan.

The waitresses don't speak French or English well, just Italian. Everyone is running, pulling their faces. I waited 30 minutes to pay even though the restaurant was almost empty. People after me were able to pay before me by getting up so I did the same and had to ask 3 waiters who all walked me away. Worse, they talk to each other while pointing at me, a total lack of respect. No one wanted to cash in. I told the manager the wait was long, he just said yes it is. I had to wait until the last minute for him to apologize and explain the situation... Lack of professionalism.

I am extremely unhappy and do not recommend this restaurant which at first glance looks superb. We waited over 45 minutes to be served. My meat dish arrived cold and the cocktails arrived when I finished my dish. Not a single apology from them by I was extremely over it in the end 88f for pitiful service, a cold dish and cocktails served after the dish. Unfortunately I really don't recommend this restaurant

Very good food, great setting, warm and efficient staff! Recommend without hesitation!

I called to make a reservation and the man on the phone said it wasn't necessary because there was almost nothing going on. When we arrived the waiter said they only had a table for four and there were six of us. The restaurant was almost empty. When we asked if we could sit somewhere else, the waiter walked away cursing and told a colleague to sit us at the 4 seater. A real impudence! Of course, we left the store straight away afterwards.

The service was pleasant and the pizzas were good, but I was imagining a slightly more Neapolitan-style dough than what we had last night. Unfortunately we did not have the opportunity to taste the pasta (not or no longer available) and the desserts were also good, but the portions of the desserts were too small compared to the price. In my opinion, the price of the Margherita pizza was still reasonable, but the other pizzas way too expensive for what we got. I would work the dough a little more so that it is a little more "Neapolitan" (with the air bubbles, the lightness of the dough, etc.), add a little more tomato sauce (to have a sauce/cheese balance). /dough) and I would re-work the price of the food (if possible). But overall, we had a good evening with friends at "la Mama Osteria" :)

Very very good surprise! Discovery of this restaurant which is located in the Alpha Palmier hotel. We chose a really delicious starter to share “Caponata” accompanied by bread (it could have been perfect with focaccia 🫠) Then the pizza! And there it was a real delight, a generous pizza, the dough is tasty, the toppings offered are original. I tried the burratina, a white pizza (without tomato sauce) with smoked provolona, ​​cherry tomatoes and burrata... madness! My friend chose a truffle pizza where fresh truffle is grated directly on the pizza. The prices are reasonable and the cocktails delicious. A little waiting between orders but if you have good support it's not a problem.

The room manager was very friendly and smiling. A little too much waiting to say that there weren't many people there yet. Regarding the cuisine, it was good, but nothing more.

Nice greeting at the entrance and we got a table for 2 people without a reservation. Pizza was very tasty, delicious dough. Really Italian. Pasta was very tasty and al dente. Which you don't get very often in Switzerland :-). All in all very good value for money. Bravo and keep it up.

Oh wow! We felt very good in this cozy, friendly, clean atmosphere. The service is rather attentive. We started with the Gnocchetti fritti and the Buffalo Dorme bene then the Burratina Love pizza. That was delicious. Costs. We recognize quality ingredients. As the daughter of a pizza maker, it's always difficult to find pizza at your doorstep ;) well I'll go back there every time I want a pizza. A glass of Franciacorta and a tiramisu (the light tiramisu certainly doesn't break the bank, it clearly lacks taste) So have a nice evening. Pleasure. I will absolutely come back.
