La Pinte de Sauvabelin in Lausanne

Lamentable! I sit on the terrace alone with my two children aged 2 and 3. 15 minutes later the waitress comes to see me to tell me that I have to come and place the order inside then she leaves. So I go back inside with my children to order then I sit back at my table. I wait another 15 minutes then the waitress comes back to me empty-handed to tell me that I have to come and get the order inside. I go back inside, she gives me two huge trays even though I have my baby with me. There are 2 or even 3 of them, they watch me struggle without even offering me help. I have never seen such pathetic service and above all a total lack of civility on their part. It is shameful. Especially when you're behind a bar hanging out watching 4 customers chasing each other.

Very disappointed 😞 Small portions but great price! The fondue for example, if there are 2 of you you have to order for 3 otherwise not enough and this applies to all their dishes. So very poor value for money. Regarding the service, there is a waitress who works on Saturdays and she is very unpleasant and responds very poorly to customers. Because we went to eat and it was around 6:30 p.m. and we had barely arrived when she told us that the restaurant closed at 9 p.m. and the kitchen at 8 p.m. clear style! So look carefully at the timetables on the site because they do not correspond at all to what is marked on Google! Finally we finished eating and it was a little after 8 p.m. but I hadn't looked at the time and I wanted to order a chocolate fondant for dessert and she answered me again in an angry tone, but I told you that the kitchen closes at 8 p.m. !!! So I told her that I was going to take a piece of cake from the window and she told me NO because she had just covered the cake! Finally we paid a lot of money for our tiny meal and left. It's a real shame because the place is nice but this waitress really scares away customers and as far as the owner is concerned he should either increase the portions or reduce the prices.

it started well with a nice setting, nice menu too, decent food with an overcooked sausage and too much mustard, but on the other hand the service is just pitiful, impossible to get a server after 25 minutes of waiting to choose desserts while the waiters take care of the table of people who arrived later, my daughter was entitled to a dessert which she finally got after 30 minutes and after going to the cash register to report it, as a result we paid and left without desserts , not a word of apology from the staff!

We went to eat a beef steak (with a good realdeals... starter, main course & dessert). It was very good and we ate like “queens”! The waiter is very friendly, the setting cozy... and the walk around the lake (for digestion) perfect! Nice discovery... We will come back

Good place to eat before or after a short walk by the lake. Friendly service and map provided to help you find what you're looking for. The view of the small lake is pleasant and relaxing. Small animal park and tower with a view of Lausanne nearby to complete the moment after the restaurant.

Superb dining experience this evening everything was a delight! From the entrance to the cafe! Absolutely no negative points. Tasty food, fresh produce and very very reasonably priced. I can't finish without talking about the service...flawless. A charming, smiling, efficient waitress, taking great care of her customers like I have very very rarely seen, if not never. A real pearl. She made us feel good straight away and was incredibly patient. I will come back without hesitation and above all I recommend everyone to go there, you will absolutely not be disappointed! No false note! Congratulations to the whole team!

The food was excellent! perfect cooking of the entrecôtes, the little hot goat's cheese salad as a starter just top and the chocolate fondant to finish well really nothing to say... the service is very welcoming... the setting has been redone but the green walls are a little sluggish... otherwise the slightly old bistro setting with the benches with cushions was very pleasant.

I received a good realdeal for my birthday. The voucher had expired a few months ago. I inquired with the establishment if we could make arrangements to still be able to come, given that the money for the voucher had been cashed. We will not have the opportunity to come and eat because the establishment refused to extend the voucher. Beautiful image for the customer.

Flee this restaurant, don't go there. Toilets from the 70s, as dirty as possible…leaky flush…food bought at Migros and left on the plate….no quality of food….

Very surprised that we were charged Chf 3 for the 2 dl glass of water with a straw for our grandson (2 years old). It wasn't even a syrup!!! We still had 2 aperitifs, 1 daily menu, a children's plate, a roast beef, 2 bottles of water, 3dl of rosé and a coffee. It's really a shame.....

Great time spent as a group. Impeccable service, I didn't like that there were cats wandering around the restaurant, nothing against animals, but for me a cat has no place in the kitchen or in the dining room (allergic to hair).

Very fine. The croque monsieur was a bit too salty and we had to wait quite a long time. There is a star deduction for this. But we'd love to come back!

I bought a good deal with a mixed salad. A steak with vegetables and fries, and a soft choc. And pistachio ice cream. The steak was cooked as requested, but too much fat. And given the thickness, we should have had steak knives. The butter wasn't great. I don't know what 7tsit the fatty substance used. The vegetables not cooked at all. I'm talking about 🥕 the others were fine. The ice cream was very good and the softness too. The OSCAR server is very nice. Listening. Despite everything, we will come back, because we have often eaten here.

Fondue ordered for 3 but in quantity for 2. And the stove and fondue pot equipment in poor condition. Sorry but it's regrettable because the site deserves better.

It's been a long time since I've been here and I admit that this restaurant is my childhood. I came to eat the beef entrecote. It was perfect just the way I like it and I know I'm a complicated person with red meat :) I loved the cat walking around (maybe we should warn people with allergies (which is not my case) I loved the rustic atmosphere which hasn't changed. The waiter and waitress were very attentive and attentive. I recommend !!!

A warm place where it is good to warm up in winter and in summer the terrace gives a holiday feel. Possible to eat at any time. A place that I really like.

A great chalet, very fair prices and always very good. The staff is very kind and helpful. In summer the terrace is great and in winter the meal by the fire is great. Simple and very warm.

We had a great time thanks to the delicious food and the competent and pleasant waitress! She arranged our vegan options: rösti with vegetables and mushrooms! It was very generous and exquisite. Fast and efficient service in a green setting! Vegan options: rösti, pancakes, fries, various salads and many vegetarian dishes. Excellent value for money and we ate well. We will come back with pleasure and we highly recommend this place!

Idyllic setting, beautiful terrace, the staff is top notch and the prices are fair. We ate a vegan crepe (vegetables and mushrooms) and a plate of perch fillet, unfortunately the crepe was bland, there was no seasoning but the cooking was perfect and the perch fillets were very good but they were soaking in a puddle of fat and the homemade lemonade a little too sweet but apart from that nothing to complain about, I will still come back for a drink on the terrace from time to time :)

Sunday outing, we wait to ask for a place, no one stops several times. Indoor table, no one comes to serve us, long wait. We ask to eat on site and we are brought to eat at the table to take away. Hot dog in a burnt bun, only mayonnaise sauce because apparently it has nothing else. Paying 5 francs for a burnt hot dog without sauce and a simple piece of bread is stealing! Soft, barely cooked fries and mayonnaise boiling as if it had been cooked with it! Report problem to a server and as a response! Sorry it’s stress you have to deal with! Food not good, exorbitant prices and on top of that we have to adapt to the stress of the waiter! So you have to change careers! One thing is certain: I’m not going back there again!

Ideally located, shaded terrace, pleasant service. The cold coffee was delicious (without topping, in my case), it's so rare to find it without sugar, and it had character. The salads looked very interesting to me, unfortunately I wasn't hungry... but that will be for next time...!
