For me, definitely the best sandwiches in Zurich. Whether vegetarian or with meat, all sandwiches taste excellent. High quality ingredients are used and the flavor combinations are never boring. The price is also very fair. And the owners also deserve great praise, as they treat all customers like friends with their hospitality and warmth. Long queues during lunchtime, so come earlier (preferably at 11:30).

I‘m there once a week, so good. They assemble new sandwich toppings every day and both vegetarian and meat options are equally good. It’s freshly toasted and comes with a daily soup. Full meal for 13.50. That‘s very rare in Zurich.

The sandwiches are great and the man that presents them to you very nice. However, the lady in service is not very polite. She pushed me to get in the straight line, and in general you feel she is very stressed by the people. As a customer I did not feel valued by her.

Actually looks very nice, unfortunately the service is totally unfriendly. I was standing in line and was beaten up by an employee because I was standing on the doorstep, which is probably common when the line goes outside. I recommend putting up a sign or being a little more relaxed. Unfortunately I can't comment on the food.

On Google it said open until 4:00 PM, arrived 2:45 PM. It was already closing and only had 1 sandwich left in stock. However, it was very tasty and very friendly service.

Delicious food, cordiality, quality...! Everything positive you can think about a place, well, you will find at El Paso! I had my first Pastrami sandwich here and it was truly amazing!! The Broccoli soup then....super tasting! I could list Everything I tasted but the result will be the same: Everything was truly good. The place is very clean and the owners are super friendly and welcoming!!. Can't wait to came back to Zurich! I will come back for sure!!

By far the best soups and sandwiches in Niederdorf (perhaps in all of Zurich). The choice of ingredients is fresh and always well combined. Even if you buy soups and sandwiches that you might not be able to cook yourself, they always taste fantastic. True to the motto: try rather than study! Thank you to the two owners for their great commitment and the feel-good atmosphere.

Hands down, we had the best pastrami sandwich at Al Paso(We ate it before we could take a photo!) And their sandwich with ham, cheese, and carrots were delicious. Al Paso uses fresh local seasonal ingredients for their food. The owners were very friendly and kind!! We experienced amazing Swiss hospitality. Make sure to take a cute picture in front of the restaurant.

I had a great experience here. The two owners are very friendly and warm and the sandwiches and soups were outstanding! For Zurich, it's definitely a very good value, particularly the lunch combo which gets you a soup and sandwich for 13 chf. I went back here twice in a row, the menu changes daily except for a few classic sandwiches. I tried five different sandwiches with my wife and every one was piping hot and packed with flavor! Highly recommend.

Yummie…. Simply delicious... simply because the very best ingredients, beautifully prepared by a great team (nice, nice & nice) What a great achievement... everything tastes so natural 🤤. It's good that it's just sooo delicious here. Definitely eat pastrami and a Mediterranean sandwich… but be careful: risk of addiction! Highly recommended 🌪️🌪️🌪️!

The highlight during my learning phases at ZB. All the sandwiches and soups I've tried so far have been super tasty - and the two owners are so nice and friendly :) I'll always come back!

If I could, I would give it 10 stars! The pastrami sandwich with the sour Gürlkli was a revelation, the parsnip soup was tasty and strong, and the service was friendly. The location is also perfect for anyone (tourist) who wants to treat themselves to a short break from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The food was excellent and the owners were wonderful! I had the leek and potatoe soup with a fondue sandwich and was in heaven! My husband had a yummy Reuben sandwich that melted in your mouth. Eating outside on the street was also fun. But the best part was the conversation with the owners. Super-friendly and helpful (especially since our German was a bit lacking). Will definitely go back when in the area!

The queue at lunchtime speaks for itself: fresh, fine sandwiches every day for a fair price and a top standard in terms of cleanliness and correctness. The sticker in the window tells the truth: best pastrami in town! Plus fine soups and extremely friendly, friendly service. What's not to like about it? 😊 If I had to find one point of criticism, it would be that the soup is sometimes served a little hot 🔥 but you don't always have to look for a fly in the soup! 😅
