After a visit to the waterfalls, this inconspicuous restaurant was a huge surprise. First of all I would like to thank the service. Friendly, courteous and an honest face. Let's get to what really made us a lovely afternoon. “The food” I can only recommend it to everyone. Are you in the area?? Drive past, take your time and experience these delights. Whether after skiing or after hiking. We'll definitely be back

Maybe the best croissant I have ever had. I've had a lot of croissants at a lot of places. The pastries are unreal good and this place is a gem for that.

The only option you have in the area; prices are high for the quality of the food.

We had tomato soup with bread and a drink. Fantastic. Our table was beneath old tress with a view of the Lauterbrunnen valley. Highly recommend.

Excellent food, service and view

Its closwd on tuesdays. We walked nearly 30 minutes get here. After getting here we saw there is a not in window that tuesdays is closed. But google and other services shows that open.

Bratwurst with fries for CHF 25.-... is that okay?! The prices are completely absurd for a self-service restaurant. The selection is rather small, 2 warm menus, soup, sandwiches and cakes... No salad. The garden is nice, but the seating is rather functional.

Everything was delicious! This little gem of a place. We stumbled here after seeing the waterfalls. The penne pasta, Ragu and tuna sandwich were delicious! Not to mention, the fries were soooo hot and crunchy! Perfect after a hike. Would come back here again!

Horrible, inhospitable. They illegally cover the schedules of the signs so that they cannot park motorhomes. They threaten to make you leave... Anyway, I hope karma takes its toll on them.

I would never recommend this place. The restaurant manager shouts and insults people who want to park their campers and motorhomes in an area where it is permitted to do so. He is dedicated to covering up the free parking allowed sign with tape. He even employs his innocent daughters in it. Everything so that only cars park and consume. It's a shame because I would have liked to have a drink there after visiting the waterfalls with our friends from Basel, but in a place where the attendant is taking care of the parking lot instead of his own service, he doesn't offer me any guarantee. a shame

No service but self service. I got in line when there was little going on. I stood at the cash register to get a coffee and a croissant. The lady at the coffee machine acted busy. It had two pistons with which you could make two coffees each. I stood there for 15 minutes in which I was neither asked what I wanted nor was coffee made or anything else. I ended up leaving without getting anything. If you don't want to be consumed, you shouldn't run a restaurant. Don't be surprised if people become unfriendly. I left without a word but super disappointed!! Avoid this place and look for nice places in the village.

Self-service and really not cheap. A little more expensive for fries 10 CHF. There is nothing else there.

I will remember more the practical side than the gourmet side, the meals offered are good without being exceptional, and the price can be a bit high. But the speed of service is a real plus

Self-service And way too expensive

It would actually be a nice self-service restaurant with a nice garden. But the prices for the cakes are very wild. ⅛ Plum cake 8 francs then gives 64 francs per cake. It was good but way too expensive. 1 piece of cake Fr. 6.50 thick approx. 15-20mm then with a 20mm slice width and 30cm cake length there are 15 pieces so almost Fr. 100.- per cake. Drink prices were normal.

A place to eat something simple before or after visiting the Trümmelbach waterfalls. It has a very nice terrace to have food.

Excellent cakes and coffee! We enjoyed them in the huge garden overlooking the mountains and glacier. Super nice.

I stopped here for coffee and apfelkuchen apple tart. The cheese cake and all the cakes and cookies and muffins looked delicious. The Apple tart and coffee were delicious. The service was great the chef makes all the cakes, and pastries and food on site.

Lovely stop on our way from the falls. Perfect surrounding (see pictures). Perfect food and drinks. Wonderful service.

After visiting the waterfalls it is recommended to rest here. There are a variety of healthy snacks such as fruit, drinks and cakes. Not suitable for a large meal. The service is fast and pleasant.

They lost our order and we waited for over 30 minutes on a not busy day until I went back to inquire about the missing food. Rushed food was okay.

Threy were good enough to explain what they offered in sandwiches and helped in suggesting nice local beer as well

We had 2 lattes, an espresso, a piece of New York cheesecake, strawberry cake and a brownie. Everything was super tasty. The espresso was especially very good! Can highly recommend the restaurant.

I bought a coffee and a muffin at the self-service restaurant this afternoon. The muffin was moldy inside. I got the price of the muffin refunded. No apology, nothing.

Delicious and friendly Penne ragu pasta, penne pesto pasta, and tomato soup are also great. Get recommendations for local beer in this area. it is delicious

Beautiful nature. Close to the waterfall. Large parking lot near the restaurant. Tasty sandwiches and the best cheesecake.

This lunch restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere: something between classy and casual. The building and the views of the valley and the mountains are very pretty. Toilets are good also. Prices are a bit on the high side, but hey this is Switzerland! Card payment accepted, unlike at the entrance for the waterfalls.

A good place to refresh and have a nice cup of coffee and a snack. The doors are wide open so there are quite a few flies. Regardless a great place to rest and get a snack.

Very friendly staff and delicious food! The homemade pesto tasted very tasty and I found the portion size to be rather large. The panorama is great.

Food (penne with pesto) very tasty and freshly prepared. Staff friendly and atmosphere very cozy thanks to the low season. However, the size of the portions is an absolute no-go. For the price (CHF 24), >50% more would be appropriate, despite the location. The flowers with the numbers should also be replaced ;)

We were here for lunch. But 25 francs for self-service spaghetti with pesto was definitely too expensive for us! That's why we ate sandwiches and chips. However, the sandwiches were a day old and soggy. Even though the view is nice, the prices are too expensive for a self-service restaurant and the quality offered. Unfortunately not recommended.

Hot choki = 50 ml milk, 50 ml foam and a ready-made bag that tastes like cheap cocoa. = 5 francs. Absolute disgrace. That has nothing to do with expensive Switzerland. This is a rip-off in its purest form. Never again.
