A magnificent culinary experience. Our taste buds were delighted. As beautiful as it is good. Very warm welcome, the service was impeccable like everything else.

Dinner back in winter 2023. First time but definitely not last time. We had a wonderful dinner. The restaurant is exciting the moment you step on. Decoration changes every so often with the theme the Chef decides on. We were seated upstairs. Service was fantastic and the food presentation was brilliant and fun. The flavors of the food were excellent. It was a memorable evening and we cannot wait to return

Very expensive for average cuisine. And we shouldn't be surprised to lose a Michelin star when we serve Thai asparagus by presenting it as a Valais product. Everything is known (especially in Switzerland) and everything has to be paid for in cash, especially since denunciation is a national sport.

Beautiful evening! Impeccable service. The sea bream tartare was my favorite: freshness and explosion of flavors. The hare terrine had a very attractive appearance. The meat was cooked perfectly and the quantity was generous. I made a great discovery: the Friborg red offered for the meat was very good! Nice cheese platter! I was just missing... a little grain of madness. :) I will go back to find him.. it will definitely happen! Well done Marie and her team.

We came 3 years ago and we ate well but not very much. We wanted to come back so as not to be left hungry. Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the lack of research in the kitchen. And there’s still no more on the plates. We reported this, specifying that fortunately the butters were very good. I'm a fan of Marie's story because I like success stories but here you really need to be careful because the quality is not up to par.

A very good surprise! When making the reservation, I had some fears...: the website is far from conventional, and can be confusing, and reading reviews is not always a good thing. You can't please everyone... But we had a great evening: Marie is an extremely gifted chef, in terms of her creativity, the very original presentation of the dishes, the quality of the cooking, the balance of flavors. We chose the Surprise menu with food and wine pairing, 2 starters, 2 main courses, cheese and dessert, lots of flavors and freshness, local ingredients, A very professional service but not over the top, The decoration is just as original as Marie's cuisine, and also varies with the seasons, with frescoes painted on the walls, chandeliers with surprising decoration, all denoting the old decor of the Swiss café. We opted for Marie's menu which was a wonderful discovery. Creative and fresh cuisine, dishes as beautiful as they are delicious and incredible wine pairing, we had a perfect culinary journey on the theme of our beautiful canton of Vaud... Authentic gourmet cuisine that delighted us. Regional dishes revisited and sublimated, each mouthful of which delighted us. A very successful wine pairing. Attentive service. What more can I say, excellent in every way!

The value for money is not there.

Restaurant is not as nice as in pictures. Decor is with cotton balls which looks like sloppy christmas decoration if you’re sitting on the second floor. All our group got food poisoning after eating there 🤮 Small restaurant and very expensive for what you get : -waiters clumsy and drop stuff on your table or wine when serving (they should be professional waiters if it’s a Michelin restaurant) -portions are tiny and you leave feeling hungry even after a 3 course meal -no vegetarian options on the menu -some wine pairings didn’t work well with the food -most plates looked good but only 1 out of 4 plates was actually good tasting, but no surprise elements or tastes, it’s very familiar food presented in a nice way and for 50-65fr a plate 😅 -22chf for a tiny plate of 6 tiny pieces of cheese (less than 100g) is quite outrageous About 422CHF for two!!

A magical moment, inventive, original gastronomy, in the warmth of a caring restaurant, an adorable team. When I hear Marie Robert in her vision of gastronomy, it’s true that we find all of this in Swiss coffee. What an experience! And the wine pairings are incredible. We discovered some wonderful brews that are actually near us! Well done and thank you!

Once the door was pushed open, we entered a magical world on the theme of the canton of Vaud. A magnificent setting, a warm welcome by a smiling and very efficient team. We let ourselves be guided by the chef's surprise menu with food and wine pairing. From the appetizer to the dessert including the splendid cheese cart, each bite was pure visual and gustatory joy. So much work, imagination and finesse for each dish, a huge congratulations to the entire kitchen brigade and the chef. It was perfect ! Thank you for this unforgettable moment 🤩🥰

Lovely ambiance and greeting at the door. Small restaurant with tables spaced nicely. We ordered the surprise menu and I asked for vegetarian but was asked if I could eat some fish. Every dish became fish, except for the amuse bouche! We first were given some parcels with a saucisse filling... even me. Later when I could get the waiter's attention, I asked if there was a vegetarian option and he took the meat one and swapped it. Like everyone has said portions are small but everything is delicious. The wine tastings did not match the food necessarily and I did not taste any that I would drink again. I received a merlot (tasted very much of alcohol with not much lingering taste) with the fish main course. My husband had to ask for cutlery. Water was agressively poured throughout. The cheese selection was extensive but some harder cheeses were perhaps too hard/old. Desert was nice. Perhaps if we had eaten ala carte, we might have been happier. Also, it was just too much fish for me (who usually doesn't even eat fish), there was no variété. The normal surprise menu had a better variety of fish and meat. The bill was over 600chf for a pleasant if not perfect evening.

Dinner for 3, Feb 9th 2023. Surprise Menu + wine pairings. Food was tasty, passable but very small portions and in somewhat ugly plates. Vegetarian version lacked variation. Wine pairings and wine in general would get a 1 star. Seriously Le Cafe. Vaud and Valais have better wines than this ! Waiter service was attentive, but very sloppy and not thoughtful. Examples: (a) Wife got full bodied, red wine with fish - this should never have happened (b) had to ask for cutlery twice (c) unused glasses not taken off table - several times (d) water was aggressively poured and spilled (e) . Overall, for the priced paid CHF625 for three it was an ok meal, but wouldn't recommend, would not go again AND cant understand how they have a Michelin rating given above

Always as much pleasure to (re)come back to each evolution of Marie's menu. Creativity always at the top and a team that knows how to welcome you! Four-legged companions are also welcome if calm and quiet :)

What to say ? It's been a few years since I dreamed of going to Café Suisse to taste the culinary pleasures (and delirium...) of Marie Robert! This is what is done, after obtaining his first Michelin star and the birth of his daughter. What wonders... what incredible culinary discoveries! Incredible finesse and details: all the tastes and flavors are present, it's an explosion of flavors in each dish and each bite! Magnificent presentations, exquisite tastes and a marriage of food and wine without the slightest false note. And to top it all off, a super warm welcome, very friendly staff who took care of everything from our arrival to our departure and great decor in a very quiet, cozy place. I absolutely LOVED it! Very great Art. Many thanks, I recommend without any reservation and will return. Hats off Madam Chef!

Very nice discovery, pretty decoration, friendly and welcoming staff regarding the cuisine... a treat. It starts with a tasting of different homemade butters with varied tastes (plain, black garlic, curry, chili, etc.). Bar tartare, saddle of venison, choux with salted butter caramel, and even a trompe-l'oeil sausage with ganache, a monk's head in white chocolate with custard. What happiness! THANK YOU !

Very very good meal, top notch staff. The passage to Marie Robert's tables was done in TGV mode with a lively discussion.

Superb experience. Few places but arranged on two levels, the upper level is in a gallery, so we can see the places on the ground floor. Tables for two upstairs and more family or friendly spaces on the ground floor and in the annex room. The meal was excellent. And the wines in perfect harmony. We often say that we come out of a gastronomic meal still hungry, that's not the case here! Very friendly staff who know the products offered and their origin inside out. Wonderful evening.
