Le Deck in Puidoux

We visited the restaurant for lunch. The view is absolutely beautiful. We ordered the fish dish called Perches du Léman and it was really delicius. The service was formal, professional and very good. The restaurant gave us a desert for a compliement, too.

One word: magnificent! Magnificent as the view from the restaurant. Everything is absolutely delicious and very, very well cooked: the products (local and seasonal) are sublime, which is really what you expect from a restaurant of this style. We feasted on perch fillets accompanied by slightly lemony cauliflower tops and absolutely excellent! The same goes for guinea fowl, its delicious juice and cardoons with truffles. We were full when the dessert arrived, which we ordered out of pure indulgence and, once again, our taste buds were delighted by a revisited apple tart Tatin style where the apple in candied strips, the crispy lace crepe, touches of cream and the salted butter caramel ice cream combined to form a divinely good mixture. Bravo bravo bravo to the chef and his team in the kitchen and in the dining room!

Everything was perfect, the welcome, the food, the view, the decor, to do! We will undoubtedly come back in the spring to enjoy the terrace 😁

An exceptional place with a panoramic view of the lake and the mountains, we were lucky to have sunshine to be able to appreciate the view to the fullest. Delicious cuisine, despite the beef fillet and perch fillets being a little too classic, but still a delight. Great service. Do not miss it !

We were required to take a menu to be served. This is unacceptable from a Michelin-starred restaurant. We go to a restaurant to take what we want and not take what we are forced to take. I am outraged.

The meal was very good and tje staff were friendly. The Maitre D was a bit frosty when we explained we has 4 adults plus one tiny baby. Though babies were welcome he insisted on saying there were now 5 at our table despite the fact that the baby never left her push chair. We would come back for the food but infrequently as it is a little pricey.

Business dinner on September 20, 2023 for 5 1. One of our colleagues being 30 minutes late, we were told that the bar platters cannot be consumed in the restaurant area (it being understood that the waitress indicated that the starters on the menu were small and should rather be consumed individually Also note that it was raining and almost dark...). Too bad, so we skipped the starter and the aperitif. Inflexibility of the hotel manager and/or card to be reviewed.... 2. A little too casual contact from one of the servers. Easy chat - and we didn't ask for anything. Absolutely, why not. But the context of a professional dinner can be disturbing. Maitre d' otherwise and visibly not very sure of his recommendations for wine. 3. No/more tablecloths? 4. Nothing to complain about the kitchen. Very good. Feeling like it was better before.

The location is absolutely idyllic and magical! The cocktails are good! The service is very VERY bad (too bad for the price we pay) and the food is ok!

The view, the view, the view... and good cocktails, local wines + ham & cheese plates. This pairs perfectly with the golden hour experience. Could be a little bit crowded. Patiently wait in the line, no reservations accepted for the bar (only for the restaurant).

It was awesome. I have read mixed reviews and my husband and I are both good cooks and enjoy good drinks and wine and we were thrilled at every turn. The ambience and views speak for themselves. I started with a fresh strawberry daiquiri that was one of the best drinks I have ever had - we asked what kind of rum it was, because it was so good. The stand out courses were the gruyere puff pastry, the pasta with mushrooms, and the filet of aged beef. There were surprises delivered before and after the meal that were equally exquisite- especially the cold soup.This place is superb- oh and I almost forgot the staff! They were attentive, charming and knowledgeable. Just the best!!!

Extremely slow service, and not attentive. On the gastronomic side, the dishes are tiny, yes we claim to be in haute cuisine, but it was really little. The view from the restaurant is probably the real asset, but we come for dinner… Overall, this restaurant will need to improve a lot to occupy the position it claims to.

Incredible views. Incomparable Chardonnay. We ordered hummus which was delicious. We didn't wait long to get in even though we hadn't made a reservation beforehand. It has been a success to come here to end the day with a lot of class. End of the afternoon full of peace and tranquility. In good company it is the best experience for a peaceful afternoon with wonderful views of Lac Leman. The waiters are nice and respectful. Recommendable.

Beautiful atmosphere, good Vaudoise ice cream and fast and friendly service

The coffee is beautiful, the view is wonderful and of course the employees who make you feel like a special guest work in great cooperation. No need for reservation, you can find a space, if the parking lot is full, there are parking spaces nearby. Everything you eat and drink is prepared with care. the employees are very attentive and friendly. You should definitely go there one day with your spouse, lover or friends.

About the menu "6 plates" I am not a restaurant critic, I am a Ukrainian who works in the UK in a warehouse. What can I understand about haute cuisine. Right. Nothing. But I don't regret a bit that I spent my salary for two days (or three) to try it. It's magical. This is a flavor fair. It's worth a try. Someone went to great lengths to create this magic. Thanks a lot. Separate top marks for the service staff. The young guy was just a darling. And view 😍

Impeccable welcome and service from start to finish. Meals on the terrace with an incredible panorama of the vineyards, the mountains and Lake Geneva. A superb moment with a delicious meal.

A great view, but mega unfriendly staff, well below average quality of food and super expensive menu! It is pity as they could turn such place to a marvellous spot with a better management, a bit of smile on face and reasonable prices.

Spectacular place for lunch and for tasting local wines. Ours were 2km > 3km range from the venue. Highly recommended this place.

The food took too long, it was normal not tasty as I expected, the view is spectacular, couldn’t manage to sit near the windows as the manager told us it is reserved from ( ONE YEAR ). I washed my hands and suddenly saw the manager with me, the toilet didn’t have tissues. The manager was rude in his altitude.

Red Bull tonic for a gin and tonic is for funny people, it’s really not good

Location is beautiful and the waitress that served us was great. I am not too fond of the restaurant's kitchen and suffered from bad digestion after the dinner. I suspect the vegetables weren't fried well (dish called Petits Farcis) besides being quite untasty. I might come back but only for a coffee or an apero.

The most beautiful terrace in Lavaux 😍

I waited for a while to get in. There were a lot of locals, especially young people. It was white wine. It had a rich taste. It was good. The view was also amazing. I could see the entire Labo District.

Sublime view, incredible setting. We had cocktails and a charcuterie board. The service was fast and good, at first only... Once the first order was placed, the waitress completely forgot about us. Unable to recommend anything, despite our numerous calls. Once the order was taken, quickly, it arrived incomplete. Not even a word of apology. Great setting but service to be reviewed.

Exceptional setting. The food is good but we weren't expecting better for the main courses given the price. The chanterelle pasta was too salty and the veal tartare didn't have much flavor. The starter and dessert were very good though.

My friend recommended we ate at the Deck in Lausanne because of the view on the lake. The view is nice but that’s about all this expensive place is about. The tables don’t even have tablecloths but most of all the food is mediocre at best. The tomato salad with buratta was deceiving in the sense that for 29 euros, one can expect to get more than a few grams of cheese in the middle of a bunch of tomatoes roughly cut. The pasta with chanterelles was terribly dry,, and chanterelles sparse. Last but not least, the Maitre D/ host (Fabio) had a little despising attitude which really made me uneasy. When you are in that line of work, the least you can do is to wear a smile on your face and be welcoming to your guests! Spare yourself and skip this place. Not worth the money at all. Please note that there is a lounge/cafe on the side of the restaurant, so you can go for a drink, check out the view because that’s the only thing that merits your attention here

The service is not at all up to par with the place: a long queue for the Deck, a few empty tables and no one to seat the customers. Finally arrived, the waiter assigns a table of 6 to a couple and squeezes a family of 4 onto a table of 3. No sense of service when speaking to the waiter. Very disappointing

Best view ever! Outrageous prices for what it is. A “filet de perche” for over 50 CHF is not acceptable even with this view and setting. Staff is not flexible. They presented the menu of the day while were still reading the menu and chatting with our friends. When we ordered, the waiter said we missed the timing and the menu couldn’t be done anymore because of 15min. Won’t have dinner too soon again… luckily there is still the terrace to enjoy the view for an Apero.

This is a place you must visit. Wine is also delicious. A glass of wine costs 9 to 10 francs. A bottle of wine costs 60 to 70 francs. It is a wonderful place where you can see Leman Horse at a glance. Nice place for see lake...and good wine

We wanted to order a small lunch at midday and were immediately asked to consume at least one main course per person. In the end we paid 42chf for a salad as a 'main course' - an absolute disgrace. The view over the vineyards and Lac Leman is breathtaking. The nature is impressive, the service is poor.

The Deck Lounge: Absolutely magnificent place even if you are used to the landscape of the Vaud Riviera. But big problem in terms of cocktails and service… The cocktails are frankly infamous, half hot and very poorly measured. When the waiter asked us if the cocktails were good, it was impossible to lie to him, I told him clearly that they were not good and his response: “ok ok ok ba that’s the first time I’ve heard that” .

Me and my parents came here for a nice dinner. The service was amazing, as well as the location and the view from the restaurant. The waiting time for the food was short, and the food tasted really good. The only problem are the prices, which were a bit too high for some items, so be prepared for that. Other than that, amazing experience, great food, definitely recommend!!

A must visit, hands down the best view of Lake Geneva.

This place is no longer what it used to be! Disastrous service. Once seated we were asked to change tables because supposedly it was reserved. While it is clearly stated that reservations cannot be made. The person spoke to us very badly, a total lack of respect. Education is not given to everyone unfortunately. Considering the staff, I wonder how much longer people will continue to go there!

Always a pleasure to go there. A moment that was perfect in this restaurant. We are not disappointed, their menu of several dishes changing every month is a delight for the taste buds. As for the view, it is incredible! The staff is welcoming, caring and attentive. An address worthy of the panorama.

We can understand success, especially driven by the situation. A splendid and breathtaking view of the lake, the Alps and Lavaux. Otherwise, for the rest, it remains quite banal. To eat on the terrace you have to queue. Of course, this is the price of success and the price to pay to bring back the selfie that hits, but you sometimes have to wait up to 45 minutes to be offered a table. Especially since if there are several of you, it becomes quite incomprehensible that a table of 4 is made available to 2 people, while groups of 4 people are waiting in line and tables of two are free. In short, enchanting place, but the service could be improved.

Phenomenal views and ambience. Food was great too and the local wine was surprisingly great and highly recommended.

The view was beautiful but tha was the only good thing about the restaurant. Very poor quality of the food and the staff is unorganized and unfriendly.

The place is magnificent and well worth a 5 star! The food was also very good and the service friendly. Unfortunately we were seated near the kitchens and the waiters' meeting points while other tables were available throughout the rest of the evening. The prices are rather high and could at least allow the sanitary facilities to be redone... Overall, we still had a lovely evening!

The panorama is magnificent. The cuisine is very good and refined (although slightly tight in terms of portions but that's a very personal opinion). On the other hand, we were seated near the entrance and I wonder why a table is there. On the way between the lounge bar and the toilets or the kitchen, the door slams every minute with the draft that goes with it. Small argument from the staff at the start of the service. We were close to the kitchen-room interface so we were able to take advantage of it. The staff struggled to describe the contents of the plates to us, the wine advice was not very descriptive, there was no real presence outside of the service itself. We came with a voucher and I thought that was where my comments came from because I had my voucher searched in their database due to an incorrect barcode when I booked. In fact, the information did not get through because the same operation had to be undertaken again. By the way, there was 10chf left on the voucher but they didn't give it back to us... A little surprised though for what I was given as feedback on this restaurant. Given the number of foreign tourists present, I think I understood. I doubt I will come back having other addresses with which I had nothing to say.

Terrible service, disproportionate price quality

Very good experience with the staff, nothing to complain about the view, service and hygiene! However, we found the presentation of the plates and the accompaniments a little light. However, we strongly recommend this high-end establishment. P.s: if your butt size exceeds xl-xxl, you really won't be comfortable in the chairs... It’s a shame not to think about your entire range of customers… Besides the fact that it wasn't comfortable for me, I was extremely uncomfortable... In short, we validate this establishment despite everything ❤️

It's very good the waiters are kind the view is incredible over the lake and the mountain frankly if you like the mountains but the little thing that makes 4 stars is the cigarette for me as an asthmatic it bothers me but it doesn't spoil it not my experience (please make a non-smoking area)

We ate here in the indoor part on Le Deck's terrace. Unfortunately this was without doubt the worst dining experience we have ever had. We've eaten everywhere from top class restaurants to local family restaurants around the world and this is by far the most ridiculous and awful experience we've ever had. We all ordered the chicken with potato mousse. The "chicken" was two of the tiniest chicken wings per person that we've ever seen.....there must have been less than 20g of meat on the plate. My cats eat more on their plates in the morning. The potato mousse was a liquid, it was so liquid it couldn't be eaten with a fork, a straw would have been more applicable....and to make matters worse it was slathered in their bitter green olive oil, making it disgusting in taste. Our children left their food...we were left with a bill of 230 francs for 4 plates of chicken....each with only 20g of meat and potato that couldn't be eaten. Oh don't forget the carrots.....no that was 1 little "end" of a carrot, less than 1cm long. It felt like a joke...like we were on a TV show with cameramen about to jump out and admit it was all a stupid joke on us!!! Except it wasn't funny at all. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Do not waste your time or money on this restaurant.

Top view. Good wine. Always beautiful. Pleasant lounge atmosphere to chill out. A year ago there were olives with the drinks... event. savings are also made here. But - when the weather is nice there are waiting times.

The manager was friendly and courteous, however we were refused because it was 2:00 p.m. Too late for consumption. We were 3 people.

We gave it 5 stars, but we would like the owner of the establishment to read this review. The date of our visit: 02.26.23. The place is magnificent and the cuisine is splendid. We warmly thank the entire kitchen team, it was wonderful. We also thank the head waiter (sorry Sir, we did not remember your first name). He provided us with impeccable service worthy of the establishment of this level. Now for what we didn't like. The Hotel Meter, was cold, haughty and, in our opinion, not very professional. First, he made remarks to the head waiter several times during the evening and this in front of us. It was very unpleasant for us and above all, the head waiter did nothing wrong. Then, once our main meal was finished, we asked for a dessert menu. The maître d' responded in a cold and arrogant tone (verbatim): "But, of course, we will bring you a dessert menu. Let us clear the table." It should be noted that we simply kindly asked for a dessert menu for the first time. We didn't say "right away", we were very polite and smiling. Why, then, this useless and very unpleasant remark? We felt very uncomfortable. Then, there was one thing we didn't like and another thing we didn't understand. Before we arrived, we called the restaurant and explained that it was to celebrate our engagement. We also called the second time to ask if our friends (a couple) could join us for a drink with us and eat one of the dishes, or even a starter or dessert. We were told that our friends can exceptionally join us, but they will not be able to eat with us, because the kitchen only served the entire menu (this was possibly not the case). Could you tell us why we received this response? Because our friends finally ate with us and it wasn't a problem. In addition, on the evening in question, the restaurant was half empty. On the other hand, it added unnecessary stress to us. Regarding our engagement, no one said a word to us and yet the person on the phone confirmed that this information was relayed to the restaurant staff. We understand that it was absolutely not obligatory, which is why it had no effect on our grade. But hey, it could have been a nice wink just to say congratulations (please note that we were not expecting any commercial gesture, just a simple word of congratulations). Finally, too bad. To summarize, the exceptional place, the kitchen team - top of the top, the evening chef involved - just perfect. The downsides: the butler is arrogant, cold and not professional, the information between the reception and the restaurant does not seem to circulate well or is not taken into account. That said, we will return and we highly recommend this establishment.

Very long wait at the entrance to the restaurant. The dishes arrived cold and without the requested sauce. The waitress makes noise as she walks past some sort of decorative stems. The soft mojito is way too sweet. In short, if you can go to another restaurant, go there.

Restaurant with breathtaking view, excellent food and outstanding service. It worths each paid penny. Generally the atmosphere is very relaxing. Summertime they have a terrace at which unfortunately you can’t book a table. For me it is the best place to be on the lake side.

If you want to have one of the most beautiful views of Lake Geneva, this is where you need to go. Excellent cuisine with local products. The same goes for the service, excellent.

You cannot beat this view! Food was delicious and wine was very good! Be warned that there is a strict rule for everyone to order one main each. Staff were a bit pretentious but it comes with the place. All worth it for the view - especially sunset!

A very good terrace restaurant with a beautiful environment and picturesque scenery. Sitting on the terrace with a panoramic view, it is really relaxing and refreshing. Eating is no longer the main thing.

We booked this restaurant at the last minute at the start of the week there is quite a bit of availability we ate really well everything was fresh and well balanced the meat was delicious the wine was tasty dessert with lots of freshness I would return with pleasure The waiters were super nice, we laughed a lot thank you for this pleasant moment see you soon :)
