Les Sapins in Gruyères

We spent one night at this campsite. To begin with we “got the wrong entry” the boss (very unpleasant) corrected us, telling us that she didn’t understand that everyone makes a mistake every time. In fact, on the door where she wants us to enter, there is no indication of entry. Especially since both doors lead to the same place at the reception and restaurant. Fortunately, it was not her who did the recording for us but a gentleman who was very friendly, he explained everything to us, it was quite clear. As for the hygiene of the shower areas, there is unfortunately none, in the women's showers, hair everywhere on the walls as well as on the drain outlets... and in the men's showers the hygiene was deplorable as well as the smells of rising sewers 😕 Unfortunately, I do not recommend this campsite if you stop at Gruyère.

We stayed one night in a tent (September 30-Oct 1, 2023) at this campsite. Well located for visiting Gruyère, BUT cramped pitches, and above all no respect for the regulations concerning "calm and silence from 10 p.m.". Campers (present all year round??) had organized an evening and the noise lasted until around 2 a.m.... suffice to say that the night was not relaxing.. Bad experience!

Very nice campsite, and very welcoming manager. Small negative point we cannot adjust the temperature of the shower. For me who is extremely cold-tempered 😂

Very nice little campsite in a natural setting. Some of them are very nicely laid out. Very nice and helpful staff. The castle and town of Gruyere are easy to reach by bike.

Very nice little campsite (we were only there for one night). The staff is very kind, smiling, accommodating and accommodating. The medieval town of Gruyères is located just a few kilometers away (be careful, the shops close early there). Also practical for reaching the Gorges de la Jogne. The sanitary facilities are clean but may require renovation as they are rudimentary. The shower system is... Particular. Hot water is random ^^ The only negative point is the education of the residents. It would be interesting to warn tenants of houses on stilts that they are not soundproof. Turning the music on at high volume until 1 a.m. makes you want to murder.... Especially when it starts again at 6:30 a.m. :/

A warm welcome for a very quiet campsite. Even in summer it is cool at night. Very clean sanitary facilities. I recommend !

Nice campsite but nothing more. 48 CHF for 1 night 1 van 2 adults and 1 child with elect. The showers are not great (the water is either hot or cold without a mixer because the old coin mechanisms remain). The water doesn't flow, so it's a foot bath! The toilets are not very clean (many insects) and the space for washing archaic dishes: you have to take hot water from 1 place in 1 bucket... Otherwise the medieval town of Gruyères is very close. Neighbors with 1 pitch all year round, noisy: music, singing and spitting their lungs. Do not take locations 14 and 15. Otherwise friendly manager.

The campsite is really good, good sized plots, very nice owners, fantastic restaurant, garbage separation a 10, and the location is phenomenal, a 20 minute walk away. You are in Gruyere. But: for me the toilets are very important, if I pay for a campsite, among other things, it is to shower comfortably and so on. And they weren't very clean. Too many cobwebs and spiders, and the showers all led to the same drain full of hair. And you can't regulate the temperature, you press a button and you're done. It comes out warm at times, cool at times. That's why I rate this way, for me that's important, but the campsite in general is very good. And by the way, the restaurant's fondue, impressive.

Very warm welcome, was attentive to our needs by lending us an extension. Well maintained campsite. Small downside for the showers which are not very hot (sometimes going from hot to cold) and quite strong. But well maintained sanitary facilities.

An emergency campsite, small and full that night, warm welcome, barely polite, for a price of 30th per night without water or electricity, just a campervan location, a little abused, maintenance woman borderline unpleasant, but fortunately not far from the castle and village of Gruyère, it consoles, Not a great welcome, I'll say it again Feeling really disturbing 🥴

Great campsite! Warm staff, pleasant refreshment bar with typical cuisine and attentive service. Idyllic setting (dent de broc, and gorges de jogne, a must-do). I was only supposed to stay there one night, but I ended up staying three! Tent and passing bike at the top 🚲⛺🌲 Electricity for electric bikes ⚡

Nice campsite but nothing more. 115CHF for 2 nights, 1 van 2 adults and 2 children without electricity. The showers are not great, the water randomly hot or cold. Why not have completely removed the coin mechanisms... Cleaning is done super quickly (I shaved when the cleaning ladies came by). Otherwise the Gruyère castle is 2/3km away on foot so well located. The nearby river is not super clean. We went swimming with the children but we rinsed off well. Small play area for children. Lots of residents. Passage campsite for the rest.

It's well organized, and bathrooms are clean. WiFi doesn't cover the whole campsite though

Pleasant campsite. Clean sanitary facilities. Large pitch which lacked a little shade (other pitches had some). Close to the castle so very good for getting around in Gruyères.

Uncared for, dirty, half abandoned. The owner seems to want to make the work and investment from 20 years ago profitable forever without lifting a finger. Paying showers. He charges you 1.40 francs for a bag of garbage that we ask him to return to us. Small untended plots, without grass

Lovely small site perfectly located for a Chateau Gruyeres visit. Convenient riverside walk for early morning walks and fabulous range of walking in the region. Amenities were high standard and clean. The couple running the site were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed a beautiful meal one night and several drinks during our stay. A perfect small site in a great location.

Nice little campsite - ideally located for visiting Gruyeres and other attractions in the area. The sanitary facilities are a bit old, but mostly clean. Of course, like everything in Switzerland, the prices are higher than elsewhere. During the day you can hear the street and sports planes from the nearby airfield, but at night it is very quiet.

We visited the Cité médiévale et Château de Gruyères, and the Maison du Gruyère. Important sites, production of traditional cheeses, exquisite, different flavors. The Castle is very interesting, its history. The landscapes, the mountains, we also visited the Greater Moléson-sur-Gruyères. The campsite was fine, I think there was a youth gathering and it was a little noisy, the capacity of the bathrooms and showers was exceeded. Overall good

Beautiful restaurant, impeccable service

TERRIBLE campsite, we arrived a little after 9:00 p.m. and the reception was closed, we rang the bell and an angry man came out saying that we should park wherever we wanted and check in the next morning, he slammed the door in my face. It had rained and all the plots were a muddy mess. There are no garbage containers, they give you a small bag to throw away the trash, we had to take our garbage and throw it in a container in another town. The bathrooms are old, cold and you have to pay 1.00 chf for water to come out for about 2 or 3 minutes, the hot water comes and goes (I showered in the morning and there was no one else in the showers, I can't even imagine if there is more people...) And to top it all off we left at 11:20 in the morning and he told us that we cannot drain the dirty water because that has to be done before 11:00 because he says it creates bad smells (there is no sign that indicates this). nor did he tell us!!) In short, terrible service, terrible camping and on top of that expensive!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT

Beautiful place in a breathtaking landscape. Interesting sights easily accessible on foot or by bike. That certainly wasn't the last time! Gladly again. Greetings to Antoine!

Very simple and basic camp for a night or so. Facilities are not in great condition and cleanliness needs to be improved as the toilet has a bit stinky smell some time. The staff is useful in trying to communicate with you in English and the checkout went smoothly.

Were there for the first time, it was raining like crazy, the space allocated was too short for our camper, and everything was full of dirt. No proper disposal point, key for fresh water was gone, restaurant not open. Far too expensive for what is offered at 90.- two nights, camper for 2 people, small dog and electricity at the end of September. And another 1.40.- for a black 35 lt garbage bag from Migros where a roll of 20 bags costs 2.35.-.

In one word: “Fantastic!!” The venue is beautiful, clean, well maintained, reasonable prices and wonderful location. Nothing is missing. The "highlight" of the campsite if I may say so, is the impeccable service offered by the staff, led by the Boss, named Nicole. His availability, his professionalism, his kindness crowned with such a friendly smile will leave you speechless. Thank you again very much for the “forgotten” lunch. ;)) Let yourself be tempted because you will only have good memories. Many thanks for everything. Texas

Campsite very well placed for visiting the region and hiking. Warm and available welcome, very clean sanitary facilities. We had a great week in the cabin we rented.

Super simple but very welcoming campsite, very smiling managers, very clean toilets and showers, well-maintained and spacious pitches for a large motorhome, more than fair price. you can order your fresh bread and croissant! a few meters from the lake. We will return there 😉 Bravo

Great and pleasant campsite. Showers and hot water for washing up are free (it was probably different). Great and quiet location near the town and Lake Gruyère. Ideal starting point for hikes and bike tours. Sanitary facilities are no longer the newest.

Superb campsite in the plain and quiet, ideal for visiting the Château de Gruyère and its surroundings. Warm welcome and fair prices. On site small restaurant, washing machine, very clean toilets and trails with beautiful river. We had a pleasant stay there.

Campsite near Gruyères and surrounding areas. Small campsite with functional toilets. 37.90 Francs For 2 people with 1 tent + 1 car. Price a little excessive compared to other campsites in Switzerland which offer a better price for better services. Nevertheless quiet campsite, flat location despite the proximity of neighbors.

small but clean and friendly people

We spent one night on our cycling trip and I found the host friendly. The site is quite busy but nice. Stoney ground so pretty tough to pitch a tent but we managed. The facilities were clean and accessories but the water from the showers is barely warm which sucks when you want to warm up in the morning, but included in the price. Decent wifi connection at reception and a good selection of drinks and snacks available.

Very cozy little campsite with very good food in the bistro.

We came by camper van, when we got there we called the number left on the door. A person answers us and tells us to sit wherever we want in a free place. That the night is 25 Swiss francs. We later realized that hot water was not included for washing dishes, that there was a charge for the shower, and that there was no place to throw our trash. All without having been received by the owner. For the same service, the parking lot where the tourist office is located below the Gruyère castle costs ten Swiss francs! FLEE this campsite!

A nice little restaurant far from the noise but close to Bulle. The owner couple is adorable! For relaxation as well as for partying!!!

A campsite that's just good for one night, no atmosphere and nothing to do nearby. The reception staff are EXTREMELY rude. A campsite only for regulars where all the new faces are looked at in the smallest details! You have to pay for the shower and camping (at least as an aunt) is much too expensive for what it is. If you are there for several nights and you are looking for a good atmosphere, some advice go your way...

The camping site is OK, a bit costy but ok. Spaces are very limited and therefore no privacy. To take a 5 min. shower costs 1 FR. The lady in the reception is very kind but the man is not very friendly. Good location to arrive to nice places., but defenetly I won't come back.

Cold reception, for 1 more day we have to count 7 francs more by a person who does not know how to count well. At 10 p.m. no more access with the car even though we pay for a place next to the tent. Paying shower 1 francs or more depends on the weather. You have to stop making noise after 10 p.m. otherwise people will shhh. The only good thing is the river next to it and the Gruyère castle.

Nothing wrong with the campsite per se, but expensive by Dutch standards. In addition, a 5-minute shower costs 1 euro and you also pay for hot water to do the dishes. An Aldi, nice villages, a lake and numerous hiking trails through the mountains just a stone's throw away.

Cold welcome and an excessive price for an overall very minimal service. The shower costs money, you won't even be able to take it cold. What more can be said ? The view absolutely does not overlook the Gruyères castle but over... (spoiler alert) fir trees and the sweet scent of a sewer will accompany you throughout your stay.

Warm atmosphere in a quiet setting

Nice little campsite, nicely done. However, the power supply is quite adventurous and a bit weak at 4A. The parking space right next to the pile-dwelling bungalows has a slight smell of sewage because the shaft tends to overflow. Otherwise OK and good starting point for the Gorges de la Jogne and Cailler chocolate factory.

Small campsite, paying shower for 1chf. We had the pleasure of being woken up at 7 a.m. by the lumberjacks cutting the wood on a lathe all day long.

Nice welcome and helpful staff and that's it... 35.-- for CC and 2 people... Hot showers extra, (5 min. 0.50 Fr.) Washing dishes only with cold water, 10 liters of warm water 0.50Fr. Current 4 amp. 3.00Fr. Even a 4 star campsite in Valais is cheaper! It was probably the last time there...

A very small camping place. Don´t forget a hammer if you try to biuld up a tent :-) facilities are simple. Have to pay for hot water. Closed during winter season.

Pig's trotters, tripe and calf's head, everything that evokes absolutely divine brasserie cuisine. It lived up to our expectations, if not more. Well done and looking forward to coming back

Great place, the food is very good for a more than cheap price, even in terms of drinks. Children's menu available and adorable bosses. I highly recommend eating a meal on the terrace, or just an ice cream, or a fondue inside in winter...

Not a great experience! High prices for a campsite where dishes are washed in cold water. And surprise, the shower costs money!!!

Well kept and quiet. Correct welcome. Sanitary conditions also correct. The shower at 1Fr for 4 minutes exactly! (we can stop it)

Camping without water, hot water, small pitch and token shower given the prohibitive prices, nothing to get excited about! It says view of the Gruyère castle, but in fact no!

A very pretty little "chalet" style restaurant in a charming Gruyère campsite on the edge of the forest... A few dishes are offered, but the one tasted "Steak, fries, vegetables and salad" was well prepared and the meat of excellent quality (purchased at one of the best butchers/charcutiers in the region). There is a choice between beef and horse. The manager of the establishment is charming and very welcoming and I highly recommend this establishment.

A relaxing, calm and pleasant place. The reception staff changed some time ago, hence the conflicting opinions. The manager Martine is adorable, jovial and full of life. She will happily share a moment with you to simply chat and laugh. The prices are quite reasonable and the equipment is well maintained.
