Very charming restaurant. Service was excellent with kind and professional staff. So many good ideas on the menu I had trouble picking what to eat. I finally settled on a Scallop Tartare with yuzu and as a main course the Omble Chevalier. Both delicious, and well thought out dishes. For dessert we had chocolate ice cream which was just divine. Oh and the cocktails were excellent too! I will definitely come back again, I had a wonderful evening :)

Restaurant more than recommended, discovery of dishes, discovery of wine and other bottles for amateurs, the dishes are really well balanced: sufficient quantity without being too much 😁 The service is top notch with top staff! And there is such an atmosphere that you will dance with everyone present in the restaurant!

Last minute booking online was smooth. We were seated almost immediately and served the wine quickly. After that things went downhill. We waited about 20 minutes to order only to find out that our selection was not available anymore. The process was trial and error like. We ordered the burrata with dorade and grilled shrimps. The burrata was served with tomatoes. Neither ones had any taste whatsoever. The fish, however, was very good and was served with vegetables, spicy rice and fries. We ended the dinner with a chocolate fondant, which was standard. The atmosphere became more feasty as the evening progressed and they started playing louder music, creating good vibes. Too bad that at some point the wifi started acting up and every song stopped playing after a few second. I guess a standard Geneva place but definitely subpar for people used to upscale service.

Superb meal this evening at L’Esquisse in Geneva. The ribeye steak melted in the mouth. The Pork brochette was delicious. The chocolate fondant was to die for and the cheese plate was very generous. It was our wedding anniversary and the staff very kindly offered us a glass of champagne - so generous! Highly recommend this restaurant.

ENGLISH BELOW Extremely expensive and overrated, the dishes come without any accompaniments. CHF 160.- to eat asparagus as a starter, half an aubergine alone as a main meal and drink a little wine: excessive quantity and quality/price ratio! I ran to grab a falafel on the way out... Terrible service! Music that pierces the eardrums during dinner! Do not go there under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! Highly expensive and overrated, the dishes come without any accompaniment/garnish. CHF 160.- to eat just asparagus tips as a starter, half of an eggplant for the main course, as well as a little wine: very POOR value for money and quantity/price ratio! I rushed to grab a falafel sandwich while leaving the place... Appalling service! Loud and disturbing music in the course of dinner! ON NO ACCOUNT must you go there!

Two hours to be served... Watch in hand! I've never seen that in my life. Arriving at 8 p.m., our order was taken at 8:45 p.m., and the food arrived at 10 p.m. (half cold). On the other hand, the place was extremely noisy. Music so loud we couldn't hear ourselves speak... I would like to edit my comment after a call from the owner: One of the waitresses took the microphone to sing (with a magnificent voice no doubt), but when you have been waiting for your dish for several hours and have already pointed it out several times to the staff, I would wait of this one that he hastens to serve us, and not to sing a song. Question of priorities and professionalism.

The quality of food is really good, great service and presentation of the menu. The party mood it’s funny, it’s a great place to spend the night starting with aperò and ending up dancing a bit. Just the music during dinner time it’s really loud and it’s quite impossible to talk. General consideration is too expensive even for Geneva standards :)

Deplorable service, the waiters allow themselves to respond aggressively to customers as if we were their friends!! The music is as loud as in a club when we haven't even started dinner and to top it off it's shamefully expensive. For the same price I prefer to go to a gourmet restaurant.

I never leave reviews but this was one of the top restaurant. This place is beautiful, service is superb and food is amazing EXCELLENT!! to start with....the ambiance and atmosphere from this place is simply amazing. The elegance of the table setting is soo nice, and their menu to choose from... simply exquisite! It’s hard to pick stars when your expectations are sky high. With no, uncertainty in my mind, this was the most beautifully plated food I’ve ever experienced.🙏

We had a great time. The boss sells his business well. We're on the dynamic side, forget the cozy atmosphere, normal, it's a bistro!! The prices are quite expensive but we are dealing with fresh and local products (tome, cheese, meat, etc. It is clear that there is neither tuna nor scallops in Lake Geneva...). And it was well served... we had difficulty finishing the veal Parmentier... in short, a very good time.

It was expensive, even for Switzerland. This is excusable if there is some value to the service; but unfortunately, they lacked in both quality and humility. They forgot my main course and the desert of a friend and offered nothing but a nonchalant sorry. The service was slow and boisterous and quite boreish. If you must go here plan on spending an arduous evening where the food is good but you roll the dice if it will arrive and you have no recourse or apology for a mistake. Sorry but we won't be visiting again.

Little edifying story for owners of the Assiète Genevoise which we understand as a marketing instrument to make bistros known in the Republic and make us want to return there. The Sketch: 1. Telephone reception: annoyed: you come to 1930 and you pay cash 2.At the bistro: welcome by a young man with his phone to his ear who places us with two other couples in the worst place in the establishment with a little wave of the hand and while the restaurant is still empty. Justification, we are full this evening. We pass by again around 10 o'clock later, the restaurant is not full! 3.Remark from a man who seemed to be the boss: we put you here, it's tight but it promotes relationships between customers. 4.In less than an hour we were asked if we wanted a coffee and we received the bill. It felt like we were in a Claude Zidi film... Moral: we will continue to go to da Paolo - right next door where we have been going for 20 years.

Very narrow restaurant where customers are parked on top of each other as they arrive. The goal is that staff do not need to move around too much. The reason given is a “table plan”. Fortunately, customers who have reserved arrive in the order of the seating plan. It is magic ! The staff is very haughty and bordering on hypocrisy. We immediately sense the culture of cronyism. The beautiful tables are reserved for the managers' friends, regardless of their arrival time. It is not enough to have knowledge of management, bodywork and administration. Nowadays you also have to make friends among restaurant managers! The products are presented by a salesperson in a disingenuous tone as “local dishes of the day”. There are truffles in Genevan soil and scallops or tuna in Lake Geneva. What a wonderful discovery! The staff spends the majority of their time staring at customers, biting their nails and scratching their beards or scalp. Finally, the food is okay. As long as you're not dying to taste a dish advertised on the menu but which is "no longer available". The response “sorry we don’t have this dish tonight” sounds like a lie at the start of the service. It's not we don't have anymore but we never had!

Unacceptable and disgusted, we arrive at the restaurant after having reserved a table ten days ago and now I am told that the restaurant that evening is privatized for an event. The manager tells me that he tried to contact me, but that I haven't received any calls from the restaurant. We had to find a plan B at 8:00 p.m., I would have done without it.

I remain relatively mixed following our visit to this restaurant. In terms of food, nothing to say, it’s excellent, beautifully served. On the other hand, certain prices are really excessive and not justified in view of the quantity served. Some people on the staff are unprofessional, and given the prices charged, a little more rigor and interpersonal skills would not be amiss.

Disastrous service. We waited 15 minutes to receive the menu, but they rushed us to take the order. 45 minutes later the dishes had not yet arrived and they had forgotten our order. We ordered the cocktails twice because they had also forgotten and finally, after 3 hours they brought us the bill which charged for things that we had not ordered. The dishes are good but the service and attitude of the staff and especially the boss (arrogant and too tactile) is unacceptable. Never again.

We went with assiette genevoise and reserved beforehand on the phone, pointing out that we have the assiette. Service was the worst ever, they treat you as if you are a problem for them in the restaurant with no respect. It took us about 30 minutes to get the attention from the waitresses, even though they walked next to us, it seemed they didn't care about our presence. Finally someone came with the wine list written on the board, and than we had to wait another 15 minutes to get the menu, asking for it 3 times. The food was average and very expensive, the worst dish were the grilled shrimps, they were completely tasteless and the chef forgot to remove the black intestine on their top part which was very evident. Some dishes lack completely salt and others had too much. At the end a rude male waiter came and told us that with assiette you have to pay cash, in a mean way, and that they don't accept credit cards because it's the rule of the assiette and walked away, we didn't even have time to discuss with him about it. We have been in many other restaurants with our assiette and always Paid credit card without any problems. We called the manager and complained about the rudeness of this waiter and the fact that they didn't advise us about the cash policy, he said that when we called we didn't tell about assiette which was not true at all. We complained also about the service and shrimps and he tried to denied everything instead of being understanding of the situation. I would not recommend to anyone.

The food is really delicious, the hachis parmentier or the tomme a la truffe are really scrumptious. However, the owner is extremely rude and unpleasant, multiple times when I called to reserve he replied yelling saying it was not a good time to call. He speaks badly to his staff and indeed will push you to leave when it's time for the second service at 21h30. In terms of client services and hospitality he really has a lot to improve on. It really is a shame because it ruins the experience but the food is good. If it weren't for the owner and the steep prices I think we'd go back much more often.

A restaurant that normally we love, but we were disappointed of our last visit. We had a reservation at 21h30 and could only sit at our table at 22h15. First dish was fine but main courses had changed slightly since our last visit. So purée à la truffle didn't taste truffle anymore and vegetables given on plate didnt't tasted well. Prices went up.

Very disappointed with the catastrophic service. The boss is super stressed and disrespectful to customers and his employees. We didn't want to have a starter and the boss really forced us to have one and didn't appreciate the fact that we didn't want to have one. I won't set foot there again. The quality-price ratio is not interesting.

Slow service, staff who act smart when we point out that we still don't have the wine list even though they serve us the starters. The food is good, the starters correct, but the dishes are too small, a tiny veal chop accompanied by the same salad as with the starter and all the other dishes and a potato puree with truffle oil identical whatever the dish chosen (there were 7 of us)! for 49 CHF per dish you can expect something else! The desserts aren't great either, lemon meringue pie too old and soft. The wines: 4 reds below 70 CHF, 2 sold out... In short, a score of 100 bucks each and disappointed... you might as well go straight to a gastro restaurant that knows how to welcome its customers for a final score barely higher and dishes to match!

First time we booked for 8 people, when we got there he had not noted our reservation and we therefore refused entry, apologizing with lots of bows inviting us to come back and that next time he would offer us the 'aperitif. This evening we go back, he charges us for a glass of wine that we neither ordered nor consumed and does not offer us an aperitif. When we challenged the glass of wine, the "boss" told us (after asking us 4 times if we had not consumed it) that now that he is a tiper he cannot take it away. This man is too touchy and too friendly with his customers, which is completely unprofessional and very inappropriate. I will not return there again and do not recommend this restaurant at all.

Delicious meal but what a lack of tact to kick people out to get a free table again for a 2nd service. We were three friends, arrived at 7:30 p.m. and were kindly invited to pay at the bar in order to vacate our table at 9:30 p.m., once we had finished, there was no time to continue our conversation. The boss, to compensate for his clumsiness, offered us something to drink at the bar at his expense but there was no free place at the bar so we left, very disappointed and not ready to set foot there again. Not very classy!!!!!!

The restaurant is well decorated and stocked. The tables are too close together. The 2 waitresses are nice. The food is good and a little overpriced. The clientele is young and trendy. The very "present" waiter/manager, probably Parisian, sometimes addresses customers and often his waitresses in a cavalier and disrespectful manner. We won't come back to that. Damage...

Very pleasant terrace and friendly service. The setting inside is pretty. Cold tea good. On the other hand, the food is really disappointing. A croque-monsieur whose bread remains soft after cooking. And the Nordic salad: unripe mango and avocado, no seasoning in the salad. I had to make it myself with the oil and vinegar they brought me. When you charge 21.- for a salad, the least you can do is offer a homemade vinaigrette. Otherwise, you can eat iceberg salad plain and with the mini pieces of salmon that accompany it at home! Really a shame because the place has potential, but the food is uninteresting and bland. So to have a drink willingly, but no more!
