Very tasty food, would love to come back

The food was excellent, a true gourmet, the combination of the mixture of nuts for a spectacular sauce, like the very rich green or typical Peruvian rice. Carlos gives you the atmosphere with his kindness and care for his employees.

Almost a hidden gem in a side street of Basel. Nicely decorated, very clean place. The waitress was inexperienced but friendly and helpful. The food itself took rather long to arrive but was carefully prepared. Taste-wise we didn’t like it too much as it was pretty salty and extremely creamy. But that’s just us, others might look for exactly that. Unfortunately, the prices are on the high side. Not sure how the prices can be justified…

Excellent quality, large portions, friendly staff. We found the ceviche, lomo saltado, pollo con arroz very tasty and we would love to come back to try the rest of the dishes. Excellent pisco sour cocktail!

As a Peruvian I felt that the food was really as close to our food as possible whilst being abroad! Anticuchos are delicious, the Cuzqueña super cold as it has to be. The lúcuma dessert a dream! KUDOS - come en casa 🏠

Wonderful authentic food. The beef directly from the farmer. The food, the drinks, the way the dishes are presented are all really traditional Peruvian and yet ultra-modern. Highly recommended.

Super authentic and very tasty food

Unfortunately I have to write a negative review here. We waited 60 minutes for the main course. The restaurant is full, around 30 guests, but half of the guests are waiting... Sorry, I only give it 3 stars.

I can only give 5 stars – anything else would be a lie. The look at the menu is varied and inspiring, the service was very friendly, and then the starters came (ceviche and seafood flambéed with pisco, very attractively presented) and we were able to try it: it tasted WORLD CLASS! Fresh, balanced, good! The main course (braised dish) was hearty and hearty, but not heavy. We will definitely come back, I can recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone who wants to establish a connection with the best cuisine in Latin America. A piece of Peru in Basel - high end!

The place is very sweet, the lady, the owner I imagine, explained all the dishes to us and was flexible with our requests. “Ceviche” as starter was fantastic! Fresh and lemony! Everything else was just simply delicious. And you definitely should try their Pisco Sour ;)

We have eaten Peruvian food many times and are absolutely thrilled with Lima 31. Carlos maintains an authentic style and serves classic Peruvian dishes that are prepared with a lot of love. We chose CEVICHE DE PESCADO, LOMO SALTADO and CEVICHE CALIENTE. We also drank a PISCO SOUR and a dark CUSQUEÑA, which further reinforced the Peruvian feeling on this warm pre-summer evening. We also found it nice that Carlos took time for his guests despite the stressful evening and that we were able to exchange a few words with him. The Lima 31 is absolutely recommended! Simply fantastic food. Super fresh, super tasty. Price - performance is absolutely right. I think it's great that they have a changing menu and pay attention to the origin of the products. The service was also great and the atmosphere was very stylish. It didn't stop at just one Pisco and it won't stop at just one visit.

Good quality food. It has its price, but the quality is good. 4 Pisco Sour (very good), a Causa (very good) as a starter, Lomo Saltado (very good) and Pescado a lo Macho (excellent) for CHF 155.- is fine. Definitely recommended.

What a great surprise! We saw a lot and ate in many places - from 19 Points to street food. But I have rarely noticed so much love and balance and harmony of flavors in food. It was simply fantastic! We ordered four starters. We will be back. Finally something different and exciting, with high-quality cuisine in Basel. And it comes from the heart, from Peru! The operation is also very pleasant.
