4 of us came for Saturday lunchtime. The starters were excellent The restaurant's pasta is homemade and super good. Desserts are also good A wide choice of wine. Children are welcome

After many good experiences visiting outside, somewhat disappointing experience in the restaurant. The service staff seemed impatient and overwhelmed. The food tastes good, but is served unattractively to the eye.

Extraordinary food! I had the spaghetti carbonara but at my table we had other dishes. Everyone was fantastic. Kind and efficient service! Thank you to everyone in Bern, we were treated very well here! And it's still a beautiful place with several beautiful bronze statues! Angry!

We only had a quick drink, so can't say anything about the restaurant. The bar, however, reminded me a little of a US 50s bar, simple but still stylish. Service was great.

I am lucky to have discovered a very special place - my favorite Italian restaurant, the "Lorenzini". This restaurant has proven to be a real gem and is much more than just a place to eat. From the start we were impressed by the cozy atmosphere and the warm welcome from the staff. The decor exudes the charm of Italy, with warm colors, rustic wooden furniture and an atmosphere that immediately conveys a feeling of warmth and hospitality. The heart is undoubtedly the kitchen. The menu pays homage to authentic Italian cuisine with an impressive selection of dishes and tempting desserts. The quality of the ingredients is palpable and every dish is prepared with attention to detail.

I was in Bern with my friends few days ago have a aperitif’s. The lady who served us with aperitif’s she was not nice. Give us the card of drinks like for the dogs no smile not looking us…. Nice place but this young girl not for this place….

The Bar Lorenzini impresses with first-class coffee and excellent service. The coffee is of high quality and the staff is friendly and attentive. Despite the excellent offering, the ambience appears cool and sober, which can be perceived as modern or a bit distant depending on your preference. Overall, the bar offers a quality experience for coffee lovers.

We were ignored, we wanted to have a coffee and none of the employees were interested in us. At the front of the bar we were sent to the back and back we were sent and forward. None of the employees understood our language. Then we get out as quickly as possible!

A lovely Italian restaurant with a simple menu of selected Italian/Continental specialties. I find the atmosphere to be very tasteful and cozy. Light accents are used and large candles burn on the tables, spreading a warm light. The dishes are beautifully served and the portions are good. The beef entrecote I ordered was fried according to the cooking level I specified and was juicy and tender. The side dishes, potatoes and vegetables were also very tasty. The service is attentive, natural and friendly and accompanied us pleasantly throughout the evening.

Being thrown out with other guests at 8:30 p.m. on a Friday because the waiter would like to finish work is very strange.

Very tasty food from starter to dessert. One star is deducted because of the ambience, because there was a bit of an uncomfortable silence at the beginning.

Am very disappointed. Had dinner with a colleague. I was deliberately ignored by the young waitress. When my colleague was able to order the food, we were laughed at because we "only" wanted to share an appetizer and ordered a small plate of pasta. The starter (antipasti misti) wasn't even brought. We received the pasta straight away. I wanted Gabeletti with tomatoes and received sage butter. At least it was tasty. When I wanted to pay, my colleague got the bill. When I misunderstood the number code on the card, the employee rolled her eyes. The pasta was sensational. Otherwise I can't say anything good. A pity.

Be sure to order the gamberry pasta pictured in the photo! All in all, delicious menu items and paintings and statues hanging throughout create a wonderful atmosphere.

Very pleasant atmosphere and good service

Despite a full restaurant, you have the constant attention of the staff, who are not intrusive, but exactly what you want. The food is of exceptional quality, and the kitchen display in particular is a reason to visit. We treated ourselves to a tiramisu. I will definitely come again.

The Lorenzini has been a staple in Bern for decades. The bar on the ground floor is visited by all generations and offers, among other things, a fine Pinot Grigio. The central location next to the “Zytglogge” is excellent.

Food was very good and the staff was very friendly. But the tables are a bit close to each other.

I am not giving full marks here for the following reasons. The waiting time when ordering is far too long. We almost lost patience and wanted to leave the restaurant. But once I ordered it, it went quickly. The menu could contain a larger selection such as pizza The hot spice is not hot enough. It's missing a really hot sauce or something. The toilet is spacious.

My favorite restaurant in Bern for over 40 years. Simply unbeatable when it comes to food and service. But last time the atmosphere was too dark and you could only read the menu with the flashlight on your cell phone. More light from 6 p.m. would perhaps make it a bit more pleasant.

For decades now the place to go for lunch or dinner, as far as I'm concerned. Such restaurants come and go usually, but this one seems here to stay for a very long time, never ever loosing what makes it so attractive: both food and wine are always excellent, service friendly, good atmosphere and perfect spot. I recommended this restaurant many times and no one was ever disappointed!

Staff: Everyone was very friendly and prompt. The restaurant was very busy and the staff was noticeably at their limit. Nevertheless, they made every effort to ensure that the guests didn't notice anything. In terms of quality, compromises were made here and there in the catering. Missing cutlery was passed across the table to the guest. Glasses were touched at the top to be placed on the table. Sometimes the plates came from the left, sometimes from the right. I don't think this is a big deal, but I do think the price is too expensive. Food: I had the "filetto di manzo" (200g). The quality of the meat was outstanding. Unfortunately the plates weren't warm enough. This caused the vegetables to get cold quickly. All in all, the food tasted good. Wine: The wine list is very diverse and I really liked it. Ambiance: Unfortunately it was very tight because, in my opinion, there were too many tables in the room. Another table was right next to ours. In order to take a seat at the table we had to literally push past the others, which I find extremely inappropriate given the price. Due to the large number of guests, it became very loud at first and then very warm. The staff then briefly opened the windows for emergency ventilation. Conclusion: Basically a great restaurant. Attempts are made in the upper class, but unfortunately it is not consistently implemented in a higher class. Therefore, in my opinion, too expensive. Continued success

I was personally contacted by Bindella following my review. This showed me that customer opinions are taken very seriously. ******************* The price-performance ratio was not right at all. The salad was left in the sauce for too long before it was served. The beef fillet Lorenzini was also not saignant and had to be returned. The wait for a new piece of meat was too long and my partner and I had to eat separately. We also always had to refill the wine ourselves. Conclusion: Too little performance for these prices.

There were 3 of us and we were placed in the farthest hidden corner of the restaurant, which was OK because it wasn't quite as loud there and we could have a good conversation. However, over the course of the evening, all the heat in the room has accumulated there, so that you are almost desperate because of the heat. So far away from the feeling of well-being... Unfortunately the service left something to be desired. We ordered a salad as a starter and the plates were not cleared before the waiter came with our main courses. Since his hands were full, we had no choice but to put our plates together and make space... We also ordered 3dl of open wine. When the waiter brought the wine, he poured out 1 glass to try, but then didn't wait to see if it was OK, but filled the carafe and commented: "You can try, but it's too late anyway"... To Luckily everything was fine with the wine and it tasted good... After our main course, we were never asked whether we would like dessert or coffee. We were simply forgotten there in our corner. A pity.... The food per se was good. However, I would think that for a mixed salad there would be more than just 5 beans and 2 cherry tomatoes in addition to the green salad... The sauce with it was very tasty. The main courses tasted good and were okay. Conclusion: all in all OK, but there was no “Wow, I have to come back here”...

1:45 p.m. in Bern, the restaurants are closing for the year... Outside, one person sits at a table with leftover coffee and a smoker. We approach the hostess of the restaurant on the street and ask for a place for five under the assumption that, as in the previous two restaurants, we will immediately receive a negative answer. She stops and thinks for a second and then says: "I'm going up to check..." After a minute she comes back gasping, "Yes, no problem, there is a table for five by the window..." We enter the restaurant, downstairs is almost empty, we already think we just entered but we go up to the second floor... A surprise awaits there, a very large hall, full of tables with couples, small and large families, except for "our" table, everything is full.... Elderly waiters, dressed according to their profession, a towel hanging on their arm and running from place to place... Seemingly a fancy restaurant... We are received very nicely, the waiter answers the questions we ask with complete seriousness and explains in mixed English-Swiss. Order and wait It doesn't take long and all the dishes arrive at the table one after the other, as they should The portions are large and satisfying, the taste is excellent (as evidence, the plates were returned clean...) Without a doubt the best Italian meal we had in Switzerland if not at all!!! The cost is completely reasonable warmly recommended

Saltimbocca with pasta: Far too little! The size stated as a normal portion was more like a starter/children's portion. The price was way too overpriced for what it was. (Price performance is nowhere near right). The noodles were ok but the meat was tough. No more Lorenzini! Ps: very carelessly prepared, see picture.

Good restaurant in the city center with lots of seating inside and outside. The food was also great and tasty. There is some criticism regarding the waiting time, but that is normal on Saturday evenings. Friendly staff. Nice, rustic atmosphere. There is also additional praise for the arrangement of 12 seats on Saturday evening, even though the restaurant was already mostly full. It was a bit irritating that you couldn't order pizza here, but there were other delicious meals.

There are two categories of Italian restaurants in general. Restaurants that embody the true Italian tradition of good cuisine and try to do their best to satisfy the customer, honestly, at fair prices. And then there are restaurants that cook poorly and compensate for their bad cooking with abusive prices, to make customers believe that it is good cooking. By putting a nice setting in front of it as is the case for Lorenzini. Precisely, Lorenzini falls into this second category. You really have to go there to present a defrosted boiled spinach, with overcooked lentils and no taste, and an eggplant full of water and again without any taste as a vegetarian dish. I turned the dish over and had half a portion of cappelletti (specialità della casa), which were just okay. But who were swimming in butter to make sure the taste was there. At a price of 22 chf. I think 6 or 7 small cappelletti. If this is the specialty of the house I recommend the rest. Then my wife had a dish of spaghetti alle vongole which were swimming in the vongole cooking water. Really low quality fast food at restaurant prices that want to have value. I add two green salads and an espresso and a 50 cl San Pellegrino……. For a price of 83 chf. I'll let you draw your conclusions. Bad Italian food in disguise.

Very good Italian cuisine. Probably the best panna cotta I’ve ever had. Staff are friendly, the location is very stylish.

Just a note: Scaloppina must be fried in butter, not grilled. Smoked pepper is not included. If you want to continue serving it like this, change the name of the dish. Everything else was perfect.

Yes, I have known Lorenzini since 1976. The Loksl was in a different location in Bern. But with its classic Italian cuisine, the restaurant has also attracted federal councilors. The food was always impeccable. But no one gets 5 stars from me. Therefore:👍👍👍🌹🌹🌹

Sooooooooo disapointed - used to love this place and know it since the 80ties - many tables too close to each other - waiter suggested salad - got it with bacon (no meat eater here) got it back, they took the bacon out (by hand I guess) still some bacon left... salad sauce was too acid - after that I was so looking forward to the pesto genovese - OMG got spaghetti with a cream sauce with some dried basilicum in it - did ask the waitress about it as pesto is MAINLY made of basilicum and has NO cream in it - answer: that's the way it's done here since 30 years... (lie as I used to eat it years ago and it was delicious) - paid the bill over 400 CHF for all our guests - they did NOT offer the coffee or anything - not happy :-( :-(

The Lorenzini has always been a top address for years. The restaurant on the first floor in particular is very good. Menu selection and staff are top.

Very good traditional (as far as you can judge as a non-Italian 😉) Italian cuisine - from antipasto to caffè! The service is friendly, competent and prompt. The icing on the cake is the cool concept for kids! (For a flat rate, children up to 12 can put together any menu from the menu - finally NO chicken nuggets, fries etc.!

I came on a Friday and the restaurant was fully booked. Great ambience! There are two storeys, first is a bar and second is the restaurant. The lady staff was very nice to let us sit at level one to dine in, however they don’t do that usually so this is an exception. The bartender at level one was also very kind to talk to us, share some travel tips, recommendations and told us to make reservation in future as such restaurants in Bern are very popular and it’s difficult to get a seat without prior reservation! He was very busy, and seems to be the only one on the floor serving, bringing customers in and collecting payment! The food we ordered were delicious! I love the risotto, it was flavourful. The aglio olio was a tad too dry for me so I drizzled a lot more olive oil.
