LP's Bar in Lausanne

Reservation canceled despite more than a month in advance and several reservation confirmations. The doorman tries to justify the cancellation by a delay without checking the reservation and launches into a tirade against the customers. Very disappointed.

Good, but nothing more. Price of wines too high, not sure that winegrowers have a margin comparable to that applied by LP's Bar.

The LP's is very user friendly. I like being in the 5 stars 🌟

Great a perfect crazy and good anbiance.

It was the first time, and we were clearly not disappointed, the atmosphere is great, with a cozy DJ on the turntable...fast service and welcoming and professional staff. The cocktail was perfect, just right. We will come back. 😊

I would like to highlight the excellent service of the employee (Alexi), I hope I'm not getting his name wrong, if so I apologise! He welcomed me in an exemplary and very affectionate way! It's clearly a place to come back to.

Waiters in Hawaiian shirts, Sri Lankan or Indian music, orange spotlights, military fabric on the ceiling.....Where has the bar I knew gone! Very distant atmosphere of the elegant and cozy lounge bar. This can be seen by looking at the patchwork of clients, half trendy influencers, half rednecks. 10 customers on a Saturday evening.

I always liked going to Lp's because I found the service professional and the food delicious. Unfortunately this is no longer the case. Both the service and the food have declined. In particular, the Caesar salad is not worthy of a palace. The club sandwich has seen its price increase and portions decrease. Too bad from now on I'm going to the Royal Savoy.

One of the worst service experiences I had in a hotel bar ever. I got there 3 hours before their closing time. The manager took my order for a decaf coffee, since I did not want to order room service to avoid waking up my partners. He said he would bring it out to the terrace. I waited for 45 minutes and it never came. I went to the bar and asked the staff for my coffee once again. I was told it was coming and again never did, after 30 minutes I asked the bar staff again. I was told they couldn't give me coffee anymore since the coffee machine was closed and they also did not have service on the terrace anymore. Surprising, considering there was a table being served there while I waited. When I asked the manager he plainly told me he no longer had service and I had to order from room service. The hotel staff was, thankfully, very helpful and got me a coffee from room service served in the main lobby.

Drinks are good, so is the music. Service is horrible. You'll spend most time trying to find a waiter who would look at you

Just ordered a Caesar salad at the LP bar of Lausanne palace and I’m insanely disappointed with it. I don’t usually write reviews, but this salad was something else.. To begin with, ambiance was completely off. BRIGHT lighting is not suitable for a bar, OR a restaurant and neither was the sofa with peeling leather from 20 years ago. I ordered the salad with prawns instead of chicken- prawns had been frozen and were difficult to bite into. Aftertaste was HORRIBLE! Salty and evidently very old- tasted like they had been taken in and out of the freezer repetitively for months. Croutons were tiny, tomatoes tasted metallic, lettuce was close to a wilted state and sauce was apparently homemade but tasted store-bought to me. You’d definitely find something better in the meal section of the supermarket and probably better quality. Despite this, manager was very accommodating, but they should definitely think about purchasing better quality ingredients.

Very good atmosphere, impeccable service. And excellent open wines. The champagne in the glass doesn't break bricks but it does the job (Laurent Perrier, the only non-rosé choice). Last downside: chips on the side..

A place I went to often before. Had a hamburger. The ground meat was of low quality. A plate of salmon which was ordinary. The dishes served are not at 5-star level, but the prices are. We regularly came to take our plates to clear them but we had not finished eating. From around 6 p.m., the lights are turned down so it's very dark and it's not very pleasant for an aperitif/dinner. No desire to go back.

We spent a weekend at the Lausanne Palace and went to the palace bar, the LP'S....very nice evening...singers, staff, service...not forgetting the magnificent and exceptional cocktails! with a beautiful show from bartender and the pretty bartender...thank you very much

Professional and relaxed welcome. Quality cocktails (also non-alcoholic). Very pleasant music and atmosphere. I recommend LP's for an aperitif in a very, very pleasant, elegant environment without being stuffy.

We used to enjoy this bar so much. Before Covid. This place was cool, dynamic, funky, and brilliant. The bar's music, the live music on Friday and Saturday, and the food's quality were fantastic. including the late opening hours even on Sundays till 1 am. Post-Covid and until now ( Sept 2022 ), everything just went downhill. Poor bar music, dull place, early closure times at 10 or 11 pm with full Sunday closures as if it's an office or a bank!!! Something has gone wrong with this 5-star hotel's bar, it's become a dull, quiet, sad atmosphere and unfriendly staff. This place is in need of change management very very soon...

The cocktail at 28chf, ok, it's a Palace, but at least it could have something above the rest for the price, I almost had the impression that it was without alcohol!

That's the difference between qualified or unqualified personnel. You feel good there, from the welcome to the departure. With an exceptional choice of drinks. And with a little luck, a pianist and a singer ♥️

Good cocktails, perfect for an aperitif

Clearly not from the middle-upper class, I nevertheless like from time to time to enjoy a moment of comfort that LP's Bar offers. Always a professional welcome and service, a warm setting... I introduced it to a university colleague who would never have dared to walk through the door; she was surprised by the equal treatment, despite the fact that we "don't wear haute couture", and is now going back with pleasure.

Always a pleasure to come here for an aperitif. Chic and relaxed, large selection of drinks and the possibility of eating good things on the go. Friendly waiters and nice surroundings.

Good service, good food, extremely expensive gin and tonic 29.- (served in a wine glass... could do better...)

The level of the LP bar has fallen significantly. Bad service and no music. The LP has changed a lot. We will not come back!!

Love it there, since 20 years we go with my friends at the LP's and I never get tired. Love specially the bossa nova concerts and the cocktails!

A safe bet, but with the current health conditions, fewer people, but the staff is still as friendly.

A bit of a mixed feeling, service is perfect, good selection of drinks and it is so pleasant to have a nice terrasse in the center of Lausanne where you can chill and smoke a cigar. However I am a bit bothered by the prices of certain drinks, single malt whiskys are more expensive than in the Widder Bar in the Widder Hotel in Zurich which arguably is a level above...

Excellent place to relax with its music in the background and its small aperitif buffet. To advice.

Difficult to summarize the incidents unworthy of an establishment that aims to be at this level, so in summary: a complicated order faced with the categorical refusal of the kitchen for reasons of calibrated and inventoried portions (I thought that this only existed in the fast food) to replace the foie gras in a salad with tuna tartare without an additional price which alone would have paid for the foie gras and tuna; a gin-based cocktail that only smelled of “comcombronated” water – fortunately changed by a friendly first waiter; a beef tartare served without prior tasting and which turned out to be more than bland... upon remark, my friend had to "spice it up" himself with the pots of mustard and ketchup made available on the table then as a substitute of “dessert”, we have been experiencing for quite some time a draft of frozen air coming from the open terrace door. When I simply turned around to look, another waiter, young and as small in height as in education, who was behind this opening (even though many other people had passed by in the evening opening and closing without this being disturbing), said to me in an annoyed tone "yes sir, I'm going to close" even though we hadn't said a word!!! and then to clearly support his state of mind, he passed by us, sighing deeply to clearly show his annoyance... intolerable... Young man if you read me, thank the fact that I in no way wanted to spoil my evening any further... Finally this Friday evening, the LP was more “low performance” than anything else….

The ambience is great especially during live music, but the cocktails are not amazing. I ordered a mocktail Guarani, it’s like a joke, it tastes like a mix of pineapple and mango canned juice and then they charge 18.- for that.

I love this place. Good service and excellent live music. This Place is elegant and chic but friendly and cosy place at same time.

Nice atmosphere, cozy. Usually calm, live music. Good choice for snacks and big terrace. Quality drinks. The service is also on the great level. Maybe will be better if they will have another menu for tea.
