Lyrique in Lausanne

Restaurant located near the city center. The decoration is quite simple without fuss, wooden tables and chairs. Small terrace in summer. The food is mainly Greek. They offer tasting menus, mezze or dishes to share. I had the "souvlakia", namely chicken skewers with homemade fries, pita bread, and yogurt sauce. Very good quality. I recommend

The food was cold and not edible, the waitress was not very professional when she asked my question. The service was slow, I waited 1 hour for my dish even though the restaurant was half full.

At 8 p.m. half of the card was missing. The choice was very limited and the dishes not very interesting.

An ok place. Better next door. Absolutely nothing on the menu for vegitaians. Apparently, it's just a trad French restaurant that don't think the 20% of vegitaians should be catered for. No tine for arrogance like that. Won't.cone back. Too many other decent and considerate restaurants.

I ended up in this restaurant by chance and it was amazing. They very kindly agreed to serve me the dish of the day (a good portion of delicious Greek cannelloni) even though the kitchen had already closed. Very interesting Greek wine. The dessert, as surprising as it is exquisite: Greek yogurt, honey, pistachios and candied forget-me-nots (!) has been a taste discovery that I had never tried before on several trips to Greece. In short, an original and authentic Greek restaurant, delicious and unpretentious food and great human capital.

This part of town is real deal. Not a touristic part of town but more for locals. These kind of areas usually produce the best quality and economical too because they are not charging extra for being in tourist Centers. Great outdoor seating excellent staff which speaks English too and food was outstanding. For lunch and dinner both I recommend this place which 5 minutes from Center of Geneva. Close to Geneva theatre. My favourite was cold tomato soup with prawns and fillet de perch..fish. Enjoy

The food is excellent, lamb skewer cooked just right, very good pita bread and grilled squid. The waiter is super nice, very professional even on a busy Friday evening, he managed everything and took the time to come and chat, give us advice, share experiences and let us taste wine, a great time.

A good address in Lausanne to taste Greek dishes! The “Greek” tasting plate composed of various specialties is excellent. The large portion is well stocked. For dessert, the crunchy hazelnut, date and honey cream is a treat! The waitress is smiling and friendly. I recommend!

Very disapointed !! and yet I had very good memories of my first visit. Very noisy environment, difficult to pass between tables because they want to maximize the number of place settings, endless waiting time to be served and between dishes (the waiter tells us that this is normal since they are full… Sorry but this is not an argument!!!) very average quality of the cuisine, neglected presentation and minimalist quantities for prices that are far too high.

Hello reader, Went to Le Lyrique for dinner with a friend and everything was on point! From the amazing super friendly waitress welcome to the food quality, portions, deliciousness,...! I can only strongly recommend the place!! We had a super nice evening, with nice greek wine and left with a great feeling. I will definitely go back to try other items of their menu. Greek Yogurt IS DIVINE! Got up every night. Well done ! On the other hand, I have one criticism regarding the dishes. The proportions in relation to prices are not well studied. This is the second time I've been hungry after leaving the table. Lentils and potatoes are cheap, so why save them on dishes. A mini potato cut into 4, the only starch in my dish obviously makes him hungry. Shared opinion from my neighbors at the tables. I will return for dessert but not for the main courses.

We were waiting for the bus with my girlfriend and was a bit hungry and thirsty. I was like "Heyy there is some restaurant over there. Lets go!". So we went. From the outside it doesn't look so good and we didn't spend time inside. First impression was super pleasant and the waiter was really nice. We ordered 2 beers and looked for the menu. Our eyes immediatelly fell on the tartar so we ordered tuna and beef and we shared. It was soooo delicious. I can tell you i wasnt so happy with a meal in a really long time. We asked for some good wine and maaan did they deliver!!! Probably best wine we ever drunk. Was called Mercouri if i remember correctly ( wine lovers - trust me on this one ). All the stuff was super nice, the boss looked really interested how are the guests feeling and he was putting some work with the waiters so we had a really nice feeling from that. Food and wine was really magnificent. We found our favourite restaurant and it was an accident. Love it here. Will come back a lot of times. Highly recommended.

One of the best experiencies in Lausanne. We tried tuna and beef tartare, and greek's red wine and everything was awesome, including service. <3 We'll come back for sure, its our new favourite place to eat and spend some nice time :)

Very old Greek restaurant in Lausanne. The service is very good even if the room lacks a little soul. I had a Greek plate as a starter, it's an assortment of classic mezze; vine leaves, eggplant puree, zaziki, etc. Every piece was delicious. Then, a great classic: moussaka. Very good, even if it's not light... as a dessert, crunchy with hazelnuts: my only regret, good but a little heavy and not crunchy enough for my taste. The von blanc from Santorini was delicious, very fruity. A good meal, I will return.

I hadn't been there for a long time but I didn't regret coming back. Always this atmosphere that is both friendly, relaxed "little Parisian brasserie" style and also bourgeois and discreet. We are next to the Opera. We ate Greek specialties with starters (vine leaves with mint joghurt or lemon sauce), succulent Souvlakis (lamb or beef) accompanied by fresh crunchy vegetables and/or delicious homemade fries, all washed down with a good red wine. Costa Lazaridi (amethystos). Finally, the “Greek-style” pastries, well inspired by the Orient, with coffee (gourmet?) or not. Nice choice of sorbets and homemade crème brûlée. Always the same boss. We feel at home.

Toujours aussi bien accueilli. Toujours aussi bien servi. Toujours aussi bon. Toujours de bons prix pour des assiettes bien remplies et délicieuses. Le Lyrique est une valeur sûre. Et quand je vois une note aussi mauvaise au simple prétexte qu’un cocktail ne convenait à un client, je m’insurge. Cela fait 17 ans que je vais régulièrement dans ce restaurant qui permet de déguster d’excellents plats de la région, de la cuisine de brasserie ou encore de la très bonne cuisine grecque (origine du propriétaire). Je vais même dans ce restaurant pour y acheter des plats à emporter lors de repas d’amis que je fais à la maison. Chaque jour, il y a un plat différent en plat du jour double d’un plat végétarien. Les prix oscillent entre 17 et 21 chf. Et ça les vaut largement. Bravo à ce restaurateur et aux autres qui font vivre toujours autant de personnels avec moins de place pour cédé aux protections sanitaires du moment. Je suis gêné de ne pas prendre de vin pour permettre au restaurateur de compenser ses pertes. Mais après de gros problèmes de santé, je m’astreins à ne pas boire d’alcool. Dommage, mes invités n’en prennent pas non plus à midi. Boire du vin (en quantités raisonnables) ou un apéro est pourtant un moyen d’aider nos meilleurs restaurants. Le Lyrique a une concurrence sérieuse avec de nouveaux restaurant de très bonne qualité ouverts récemment. Il reste le ou un des meilleurs rapports qualité prix de Lausanne et des environs. Beautiful traditional brasserie with a Greek ambiance. Nice cuisine, we appreciate the Hellenic specialties which enhance the traditional menu. A large part of the atmosphere rests on the shoulders of the boss who always dressed in an impeccable light shirt goes from table to table, and chats with everyone. The terrace on sunny days is pleasant, right on the street and always popular. We come here for a drink with friends or colleagues. We find acquaintances or neighbors there. All this is very Mediterranean and a pleasure to see.
