Maison BUET in Lausanne

Bought at full price, a so-called dark chocolate egg. Sugar as first ingredient, milk as second. So I bought a sugar egg for 235chf/kg. The saleswoman told me that the egg was filled with pralines, I just found 6 pieces of sugar wrapped in plastic. A great scam

Here is the correction: The bakery and pastries look delicious, but the sandwiches are an absolute scandal. The little tuna sandwich is bland and empty, with a slice of tomato so thin it's invisible, and no egg...nothing at all. A great scam. I guess the regulars know what to get and what not to get in this bakery.

Unpleasant and after we consume Croissant, coffee, orange juice we ask for a glass of water the waitress says to her colleague <she is boring> because Madam it bothers her to go back to get a glass of water ! Stay at home if you don't want to work!!!

Small mediocre store with non-existent service. To flee. We waited politely at the door but no one came to take us in, and worse, one of the waitresses walked past us without even saying hello. We had to go to the counter but the table we were supposed to collect was taken by two other people without intervention from the staff. We went on Saturday February 17, 2024 at 4pm.

A very pleasant welcome, but, unfortunately, the quality of the products is not up to par at all. I had a croissant and a spilled coffee, the gummy croissant, a little stale, and a spilled one a little thin, but that's personal. So maybe their pastries are magnificent, but for breakfast I don't recommend them.

Having an appointment close to this bakery, I went there because I love discovering beautiful and good bakeries, tea rooms, chocolate shops, restaurants etc... the window was just "whaouuu" with the presentation of the kings' crowns truly sublime! We really want to go in but as soon as my two legs pass through the door... I hear the saleswoman asking me directly what I want! 🤣🤣🤣 I kindly tell him that I haven't made a choice yet since I haven't had time to look... I take several things... kings' crown, bread au choc, sandwiches, croissant with ham etc... (I love trying everything! It's an addiction for me!) and I look at the saleswoman's face and I immediately see that I'm annoying her with my choices and questions on 2/3 products because I am allergic to certain containers...it upset me a little I admit...we are customers and must be informed about the products without "stress" I know that at lunchtime there are a lot passing through and the saleswomen are a little overwhelmed but a slightly warmer welcome, without sighs would be a plus for your bakery which I love despite everything! Your products are of very good quality and I will return there during my next visit to Lausanne. (if I get the same welcome as the first time, I won't go back there again... that remains a certainty even being very greedy! :) but we must be able to give people a second chance in order to correct these little errors which are important when we have a business and customer service.. we are all entitled to error... human error...

Unfriendly staff, sighs, annoyances because a table becomes available and finally I indicate that I would like to eat there. Hateful attitude in front of me while I pay... my apologies for wanting to eat at your place but rest assured that I will not come back.

I had the Swiss sugar pie and it was absolutely delicious. However, I love French but couldnt speak it and it was difficult to communicate and pay with the waitress. Next time put a sign on your store saying “ONLY FRENCH SPEAKERS ARE WELCOMED”

We had pastries at buet. No labels in store so I won't be named the cakes. So soggy pie… Walnut tartlet smothers Christian Cheese cake good but then the pink thing in choux pastry with strawberries inside and baby yogurt…. It's inconceivable at this price. Very very disappointed! On the other hand, your staff is very friendly and kind. Thanks to them anyway

Delicious variety of hot chocolate beverages with choices of spices and what not. Le passionné with lait de riz (rice milk) was a bit thin to our liking but still tasty.

The Galette des rois from this place is amazing! The frangipani filling is so aromatic and not too sweet, while the pastry is light and fluffy. The pâte feuilletée is also top-notch, with a perfect crispiness. In my opinion, it's one of the best Galette des rois I've ever had.

Good pastry, quality products. Always a great experience. The atmosphere is very friendly, we are always very well received and the staff goes out of their way to satisfy the customer even when the salon is crowded and we arrive in a group unexpectedly.

Delicious chocolate cake with raspberry jam (unless I'm mistaken), as for the pastries in individual portions always a perfect mix between creaminess and a crunchy biscuit (which is often missing in some pastries!).

Part of the service here really has reception problems. We feel like we're in the way. Interacting with a person with dyed red hair who speaks to you in an authoritative manner as if you were their elementary school student. What's the point of coming here to be treated like a dog? She missed her vocation as rector in a convent. What a bad character.

Incredible cakes brought by Mélissa: a lemon meringue tart and a ??? mousse/cream. on a coconut shortbread with a passion fruit glaze it seems: a real delight, both, very fine, light, not too sweet with a blend of flavors and tastes of great quality. Exceptional!

Of course the pastries are delicious but there are still some around 4 p.m. unlike Moutarlier which no longer has any... the waitresses are pleasant and efficient. The tearoom is comfortable and quiet. To do again for the 4 hours.

I revisited this place a few times and it seems they are slightly deteriorating in quality and mixing different tastes. Still, best place for european pastry in Lausanne. Below is my old comment: I have tried pastry here many times… it’s simply amazing you cannot get disappointed. They also sell artisanal chocolate at their store; however, I bought one box once and would not grade it among best chocolates I’ve tried. I found nothing unique about it though the white truffle was their best for my taste. Th place is a little small, but they highly respect their customers with comfortable chairs, beautiful and calming ambience and chic plates. Absolutely my most favorite patisserie in Lausanne. Also, if you go for patisserie , show up early, as they make them day by day and only few options remain in the evening. There drinks are also really good. Overall, great place for a breakfast experience.

Delicious apple turnover enjoyed on the terrace after the kind suggestion of the waitress. Without even asking, with this attention which always surprises when you come from German-speaking Switzerland, I am served a glass of water and wish me a pleasant time... Thank you again!

Regular customer, I find that the value for money is bad, the sandwiches are poor in ingredients, more bread than anything else, I often order the tomato mozzarella sandwich, and there are 1/10 tomatoes, not even a whole one. for a mini sandwich for 5.-…

Small, fine selection, it's not always clear what's hidden in the delicacies. A little more dark chocolate would be great. Pastry counter is very nice and more lavishly stocked than chocolates/little things.

Tanzanian chocolate is a treat as are sweets, savouries, chocolates, etc. The team is very nice! Well done !

This is my favorite baker, and I regret giving 3 stars... the products are really excellent, the takeaway services very efficient, but the service on site is unfortunately quite deplorable, which ruins the experience. I came for lunch and had a Reunion sandwich, a vin-cooked tart, and an 89% kamikaze hot chocolate. Everything was delicious! The pie was truly exceptional. A little too sweet for my taste but with the chocolate which wasn't, it was perfect. I highly recommend.
