Staff is quick, açai bowl is watery and really not good. But the price is fair!

The food and drinks are overpriced while having mediocre to bad quality and taste. The Cold Matcha Tea I ordered was supposed to be a high quality matcha but what I was given was basically a watered down tea that barely had any flavour at all and it is almost as expensive as Starbucks which is ridiculous. On top of that, the chocolate nuts that I ordered is WAY too overpriced at 4.90chf for a tiny sachet of nuts (with the chocolate being really low quality in accordance to the price). Although the service and the staff were polite and quick, the fact that it is situated right next to a subway means there is usually no place to sit (although today I was able to finally get a seat) and is overcrowded and hectic. Overall the food is very low quality with the prices being unjustifiably high. Definitely do not recommend. I rate this place 3.5/10

Since 2 years, we have been real regulars at Malibu Nation, because the food is fitting our taste and expectations of bowls. There used to be two sizes of already pretty stiff prices with CHF 19,90 for regular and CHF 22,90 for large, however it seemed somewhat ok. Very recently however, the former regular size with the exact same packaging was promoted to large, meaning significant less food for prize of large. Even worse so the regular is now a new box in size of a side salad which is half of what it used to be for 19,90! Not suitable for a full meal. Massive price increase of 50% that is out of proportion and costs Malibu Nation us as regular customers refusing to pay and from now on staying away! Nice rhyme btw

I ordered a “Create your own Bowl” Large and was happy with the service, the size of the bowl and the ingredients. Everything is very high quality and fresh, plus good sauces.

How can this place be so popular? Time and time again, we are disappointed with our order. High prices and no to very economical meat/fish additions. I can also eat rice with sauce cheaper. -> Malibu Nation Basel

Noice stop for a bowwwl. You can easily customise your order and there are some clearly labeled vegan options available. We ordered a bowl with avocado and tofu and another one with "bbq-chicken". Both with a broccoli base. Very tasty. The joint shares seating with a Subway so the dine-in is a bit hectic.

Ordered via Uber Eat. Delivery time almost 2 hours instead of 55 minutes. One poke bowl was missing rice and both bowls were missing relatively little fish. Conclusion: Too expensive, delivery time is terrible (it's just a poke bowl and not a 6-course menu) and the taste, sauce and ingredients are rather mediocre. Unfortunately not in the future. There are better delivery services on “Uber Eat”.

Summary: bad price for value; rice overcooked and low quality ingredients; For CHF 2-3 more, you can get poke with table service Dishes (- negative / = ok / + positive): - poke with tuna and salmon - rice overcooked - tuna low quality cut with hard to chew tendons/fat - mango sour - sauces all sour and don’t taste according to their description; sesame soya is like Balsamico Service: = order at counter; friendly Price: - CHF 22.9 for large is bad price for value without service Atmosphere: - awful: it’s partly Subway smells like sandwiches; and people standing I line everywhere and at the same time people walk in to pick up money at the ATMs inside

Very helpful and honest staff. I had forgotten my payment card and a gentleman from the business ran after me to the station hall to give it back to me. The food was of course also delicious because you can choose it yourself

I ordered Açai bowl with toppings (the Pier) which consisted basically of granola. Attached a photo of how the the bowl should look like vs reality. I struggled to find any açai in the bowl

It may be that the food helps you lose weight - most of my food consisted of rice - with lots of small additions - the taste was ok - I was full with rice - cost 25 chf including the drink - Diet Coke was not included in the range

By far the best Acai options in Basel. It’s super tasty and the service by the staff is very friendly and service oriented. Love it and will for sure encourage others to try!

Cool concept with high quality and delicious ingredients. Here you can find the finest iced matcha latte in Basel. What's particularly great is the large selection, where everyone can find something delicious. Whether you're a veggie, a salad fan, a fitness fanatic, someone with intolerances or allergies, or even people without a specific diet - everyone will find something here.

Definetly a worthy healthy take away spot! Even tho its price is quiet high, its a go to spot if you wanne enjoy a healthy meal! To top it off, all of the staff are super friendly and are open for your wildest combinations!

For dinner don't expect to receive any fresh ingredients...

With the new boxes, the quantities have been halved and the price increased slightly again (and to be honest, the type of presentation is almost a deliberate deception, the new box sizes are probably deliberately "hidden"...) It's a shame, that's it for Malibu Nation, the price is definitely way too high for the small portions.

Went for smoothies and apart from what they have on the menu they weren't too fond of making changes. So if you plan to order custom smoothies forget about it. We ended up in getting 3 juices which were lacking taste.

Delicious and fresh. Both the shakes and the bowls were delicious and nutritious. All the ingredients were fresh, the selection was large and the advice was courteous and warm. We are already looking forward to the next visit!

Like their coffee with coconut milk and shakes, reminds me of the good times in Hawaii. Poke bowls are a bit..em. Ingredients just boiled but not pre-marinated, sauces taste wrong, carb base can be more cooked and seasoned. Hope this hipster vegetarian vibe carries on and we get more choices to feel like one in Basel.

Rice paired with almost anything is good. Malibu is the perfect place to go to have a good meal. I recommend the vegan bbq chicken and the beetroot hummous. Dont be afraid to ask for a lot of sauce, i.e the peanut sauce, very good and filling.

Although marked as open, the store is already closed again. It's a shame because the food is delicious!

I've often gotten a bowl that is prepared in front of you. Simply super tasty, various variations (also for vegans) and fair prices! Perfect if you have to go quickly at lunchtime!

Das Essen bei Malibu Nation ist sehr gut man kann selbst eine Bowl zusammenstellen oder eine vom Menü wählen. Auch der Smoothie der ich hatte war sehr gut und ausserdem ist alles sehr gesund und frisch. Werde auf jeden Fall wieder kommen!

Not only did it look delicious, it also tasted very good! This waa my first poke bowl and my mind was blown. The rice was perfect and also warm, the toppings tasted fresh and had the perfect temperature and seasoning. Will definitely come back asap!

Delivery service and food all around very good!

Average Poke Bowls. It tasted more like rice salad than a poke bowl. The texture of the salmon was not that pleasing. The zucchini add a salat like experience to the bowls, whereas real zucchini pasta is better for poke bowls. Unfortunately they do not have those at Malibu Nation. I refer to the poke bowl place at the Migros in Kleinbasel. You get the same amount of food for the same price but it’s noticeably better.

Die Bowls sind nahrhaft und lecker. Ich stelle mir 1-2 Mal in der Woche eine Bowle zusammen und geniesse sie im Restaurant oder bestelle sie mir nach Hause. Mein Tipp: Wildreis als Basismarinierter Thunfisch und Lachs als ProteinquelleTomaten, Mango und Edamame als ZusatzRöstzwiebel, Bienenpolle und Mandeln als Topping sowie Peanut Coriander als Sauce und falls vorhanden noch Chillistücke für die Schärfe...köstlich ;-)Toll wäre eine Nährwerttabelle, damit die gesundheitsbewussten Gäste ihre Kalorien tracken können.

What a lovely staff! They are helpful, patient, friendly and competent. The food is fresh, healthy and tasty. You can have it customized also with the staff's assistance if needed. You could come here to grab breakfast, lunch and dinner or simply in between meals for a healthy snack or shake. They are preparing your order right before your eyes. This place is a shared space with "subway sandwich" at the mainstation Basel and its definitely designed to eat on the go. There is some seating possibility, but I would not come here with a larger crowd and eat in nor for a date or a business lunch, lol. Facilities are clean and neat. I was told they are also part of the "too good to go"(even more reason to like them). So far I've been here three times the experience was consistent, I'll be back for sure :-)

There is a large selection of ingredients that you can put together exactly how you want. It is very healthy and as a vegan there are absolutely no disadvantages here. There are poke bowls, curry, smoothies, protein shakes, acai bowls for dessert, coffee, matcha latte. I've tried a lot and everything has always tasted very good

Delicious Pokebowls that you can also put together yourself. But my favorites are the many delicious smoothies/protein shakes. Perfect after training. There are also many vegan options. Will definitely come back!

Ich esse sicher 2x in der Woche hier, man kann aus sehr vielen verschiedenen Zutaten seine eigene Poke Bowl zusammenstellen und es schmeckt jedes mal sehr gut und frisch! Ich mache viel Krafttraining und die Protein shakes helfen sehr und schmecken super, für mich schmeckt der Peanutbutter-Chocolate am besten.

Die Zutaten sind sehr hochwertig und alles sehr lecker. Auch ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Wann gibt's euch in Zürich? :)

The food is tasty and innovative. The staff is super friendly and sporty, which goes with the healthy food. The price should be slightly lower.

Super nice people behind the counter, took their time to explain everything to us and gave us advice on choosing the combination. The bowl was super tasty and was unintentionally vegan. But the fish also looked good. Fair price, 16.90 for a regular bowl, which lasts for a whole lunch at the most. Only the seating options weren't amazing, so next time it'll probably be a takeaway.

I was delighted to hear about Malibu Nation. The staff is really kind and welcoming. You get to try out different things first and you get a customized solution as well. Their selection and recipes are extensive and nutritious. You can have poke bowls, açai bowls, shots, really good plant based protein shakes or smoothies. They have a rich variety of supplements ... also some that you can't find anywhere else but directly from the States.. such as *liquid light fulvic minerals*. Everything's organic. You won't feel heavy afterwards, you'll feel ^UP LIFTED^, just like nutrition is supposed to make you feel. To all the super-woke and ready-ones who happen to be in Basel, do yourself a favor and get yourself an energy boost at Malibu Nation. To everyone else, do the same!
