The restaurant is small and informal which is nice but it is basically bare walls and small sized tables. The service is prompt but purely transactional (probably because they are used to complaints from diners so in anticipation they adopt an unfriendliness to draw lines in advance). The food I can only describe as lukewarm European continental food that one would typically find in a factory canteen. The basmati rice was probably made in the afternoon (we dined in the late evening). The lamb karahi tasted like a simple tomato sauce with onion. It was not bad but it had nothing to do with karahi plus it was borderline sweet. The naans are made on a frying pan. They are OK but no, they are not Indian. In short none of the items we ate resembled Indian food in anything but name. All food was extremely bland (I dare say not a single chilli was used and perhaps none of the 130+ spices India blessed the world with). Thankfully their prices are relatively low for Geneva but if you are in search for authentic Indian food this isn't your place.

Good food: tasty fresh the right amount of chilli and spices combined: I’d like to have seen and tasted fresh spinach but the tender mess of the lamb diverted my taste buds from this absence. The tandoori rotis were were I thought tandoori rotis should be, I was happy to say: see my last review, about another establishment. Overall a place to be recommend for the food as the decor is a little dated: but in a quaint way very typical of an “Indian take away” from the late 90s. Well done Masala House : nice food

A very good time for our last evening in Geneva! We were with family. The service is excellent and attentive to our needs. Always responsive! The dishes are simply delicious and highly recommended for both small and large appetites. The background music was pleasant just what was needed! A must-see address in Geneva!

Highly recommended! The exceptionally friendly staff accommodated our last-minute request, and the standout dishes-Kadhai Paneer, Kadhai Chicken, and the superb Butter Tandoori Roti-made it a truly delightful experience.

Butter chicken was exquisite with melt-in-your-mouth perfectly prepared chicken. Bharta (vegetarian) was the perfect amount of smoky and fresh. It was all perfectly delightful. 10/10

Excellent food. It's the best I've eaten by far. An impeccable Butter chicken, tasty cheese naan, well-filled samosas accompanied by a little sauce which was very good. The chicken was very tender and the quantities were proportional to the prices. In terms of price and quality, it’s absolutely correct, I loved it. We arrived with a reservation but they didn't take us right away, we had to wait standing for a while because it's quite a small space, which I completely understand but in any case the wait was worth it made it worth it. Satisfied ! THANKS !

Hello 🙋🏻‍♀️ We visited the restaurant twice in two days because of what was excellent and delicious. On both visits, the food was wonderful and balanced. Our orders for both visits were: - Vegetable samosa - Chicken tikka -Butter chicken - Aloo matar (potatoes and green peas) - Vegetable biryani - Butter naan -Nan with cheese The food is wonderful and delicious, the service is very excellent and the restaurant owners are nice and helpful. The atmosphere is calm and wonderful, there is no disturbance. The restaurant is clean, its outdoor seating is well explained, and the prices are reasonable I advise anyone visiting Geneva to try it. I repeat the visit every time I come to Geneva. Thanks Masala House, thanks Guri and Shene 👋🏻

We had dinner here on Sunday. Food was amazing. Tasted like home cooked food. It was not spicy and they made it to our requirements. Proper punjabi food and met our vegetarian needs. The owners are 4 brothers and take pride in their food. Very friendly too!

The food tasted good, but it wasn't exceptional. A bit expensive for lunch as there is no lunch menu and the portion of rice could be a little larger compared to the amount of curry. However, the service was very friendly and helpful.

Very poor value for money: very little on the plate (see photo for 32.-) I had lamb which was very dry. Unfriendly and unaccommodating service: I asked if they offered anything other than rice as a garnish... impossible. I will not return here.

The staff was super super nice and friendly really. But the food was a bit disappointing, lacking in spices, flavour and spiciness (although we specified we liked it spicy from the beginning). It was most probably adapter to European taste. The chai tea was super weird, it did not taste like usual masala chai with a lot of flavours and spices, but rather as black tea with no sugar and a lot of heavy cream. Prices were fine. Sorry guys, you were really lovely people🙏

We enjoyed it very well, the service went wonderfully. We leave with a smile on our face and satisfied with this meal. We will come back without hesitation and we recommend this restaurant with our eyes closed.

Fantastic Indian restaurant based in Geneva. I love a good Indian when I travel and this place was incredible. Much like home cooked Indian food we had the chicken Kharai and mattar paneer. Great service and highly recommended

Had a mixed experience from this restaurant. It had one of the best Chicken Karahi and at the same time one of the worst Butter Chicken I have ever had. You can see from the picture that even the colour of the butter chicken was different from the usual ones. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a good Indian food in Geneva except for the Butter Chicken.

Great place; excellent food, copious portions, and not too expensive for Geneva either. The butter chicken (my favorite) had a thickness to it, with some cinnamon kick, that really hit the spot. Service was on point too, we felt welcomed and were looked after well. Highly recommended, I will definitely return.

Authentic. Tasted great. It’s hard making vegetarian food taste great and Masala House nailed it. Dal Tarka was seasoned very well and the spinach in Aloo Palak was of Saag consistency. The basmati rice was a bit dry. Usually there’s ghee in it but not here. Naans were on the smaller side but quite crispy. Loved them. It is expensive by US standards but extremely reasonable for this location compared to other places.

They not only opened the restaurant for us but also did provide with the best food you can find in entire Europe.
