Mekong Asia in Stans

Service was friendly. Unfortunately we didn't like the food. The sweet & sour chicken (breading) was rubbery, the sauce wasn't enough and there were only 2 pieces of vegetables in it. The peanut beef curry tasted way too much like lemongrass. Price-performance is not right, too expensive.

We come here regularly for lunch and appreciate the really good food. The lunch menu costs 21.00 each including a drink, except today on Protective Thursday, the drink is suddenly no longer available for no reason, without information, only when asked and with an apologetic "because today is carnival and it was decided that way"... With the best will in the world, I have no understanding of this pricing policy, which had to be represented by employees who did not agree with it in the owner's absence. Thanks for the clarification in the answer.

Service is super friendly. Food tastes great, I'm from Germany but when I'm in Stans, my first choice is where to eat. Only to recommend. Prices are perfectly fine

The food is actually very good, only this time the sweet and sour sauce didn't taste so good. Unfortunately, the spring rolls and rice were forgotten when paying. Otherwise it was actually very tasty. The restaurant is very central and actually in good condition.

The food was very tasty. We asked for Cambodian curry to be very spicy and the chef managed it coolly. The atmosphere was very pleasant and quiet in the garden. Keep it up!!!

Little gem with authentic cooking. I got a take away from the warm buffet - Thai red curry. For vegans, it’s a nice place that you could enjoy rice or noodles. The owner was friendly Nice packing for take away Flat rate for take away CHF19 plus with a drink of your choice

Selection and preparation of dishes rather mediocre. Food is not freshly prepared. Simmer in containers. 👎👎There are Asian bistros that can do it much better. Prices overpriced, service totally subpar. It's a shame, a lot more could be done here 👎👎😫😪

We refer to the review by “Lars”, who was in the restaurant with us at the same time on September 12th, 2021. We were kind enough to let the gentleman and his entourage in (even though we were there first) because the general atmosphere was already very tense. Your order at the open buffet then took an incredible 15 minutes and was a nerve-wracking process for the staff, despite clear explanations and labels in the restaurant. The whole thing ended a few minutes later in a loud discussion, whereupon the landlady asked the people to leave and refunded them the money. For our part, we were able to enjoy impeccable food (fresh, warm, tasty) on our first visit to this place and found the staff to be friendly. They also apologized several times for the inconvenience caused to the other guests. So we join in with the many positive feedback for this restaurant and would visit the restaurant again and recommend it to others. This is my first Google review, which I only did because I suspected that the guests' behavior could lead to distorted feedback.

Cold food, a buffet of warm food from which you can only choose one main course and one side dish, drinks taken from the fridge, you have to ask for glasses separately. My food was prepared incorrectly, then brought correctly with a loss of meat. Two of the spring rolls were served to us lukewarm, the other two were freshly prepared and hot. When we complained about the cold food, we were allowed to leave the snack bar. The restaurant was closed and we had to sit outside in the semi-darkness. Low lighting was achieved by turning on the lights in the restaurant. The meal had to be paid for immediately; a receipt was only available if you provided your cell phone number or email address. We could have eaten somewhere else, was the saleswoman's comment when we entered the snack bar. The actual restaurant was not allowed to be visited. We definitely won't go here again.

I would describe the food as ok. Not more than that. 1 star because of the inhumane smell in the stairwell. This is an impertinence for all residents. Several neighbors have complained about this. Unfortunately, the stairwell is still ventilated.

The food is good. However, prices are significantly higher and portions are significantly smaller than in Horw. I would advise against the duck as you can hardly get any duck meat. A pity

Ich bin froh sind wir im Mekong Asia zum essen eingekehrt. Es ist sehr hübsch eingerichtet, vor allem der rechte Raum mit den zwei Essen-Ausgaben ist wunderschön ! Die Chefin ist sehr sympathisch und freundlich. Das ganze Lokal überzeugt durch ein stimmiges Konzept. Alles hat seinen Platz und ist sehr sauber. Ich kann dieses kleine Juwel nur empfehlen !

Great team and fine food in a cozy atmosphere

The location is cozy and imaginative. The service was friendly and accommodating. The kitchen is great. Special requests are happy to be fulfilled. As an exception among Asian cuisines, flavor enhancers (glutamate) are not used. Several vegan dishes on offer every day. So you can eat good, fresh and healthy Thai food. All of this at reasonable prices. Bravo.

Man isst immer gut, grosse Auswahl an asiatischen Menüs, gutes Ambiente, freundliches Personal. Gewöhnungsbedürftig ist das Anstehen am Büffet (sozusagen Selbstbedienung), aber funktioniert gut und schnell.

Always a great experience! I always feel warmly welcomed by the staff and they are not above accommodating my extravagant wishes. Almost every dish can be veganized if you ask nicely. Great team and relaxed atmosphere, keep it up!

Mittags ein reichhaltiges Buffet köstlicher kambodschanischer Speisen, verschieden (bis sehr) scharfe Currys mit Huhn, Ente, Schweine- und Rindfleisch, saftige gebackene Shrimps, Sate-Spiesse in milder Erdnusssauce, all das unter CHF 20/Person. Sehr nette, persönliche Bedienung. Gemütliche Beiz-Atmosphäre. Einige Parkplätze vor dem Haus.

Dieses Lokal befindet sich auf der Hauptstrasse und verfügt über einige kostenlose Parkplätze.Ueber Mittag gibt es eine Auswahl vom Buffet für Fr.16.50 das Getränk schlägt für ein Self Service Lokal mit Fr. 4.50 zu Buche.Die Auswahl am Buffet ist gross und geschmacklich gut aber es ist keine Selbstbedienung.Alles in allem ein Lokal zum einfach, schnell und gut Essen.
