Super nice and great hotel with a beautiful view of Lugano. We were more than thrilled! The room and all the furnishings are as shown in the pictures and are very high quality. The service in the restaurant is great. The employees at the reception read every wish from your lips, true to the motto "nothing is impossible", 100% recommendation! Gladly again!

The View is an extraordinary location. Upon arrival at the park you will find someone who welcomes you. You feel at home, go up and see the breathtaking view of Lake Lugano. When I have to hold an event or present my book it's my choice. The service is excellent and the catering is no exception. We are right in... Paradise! 🇨🇭

Dear all, This hotel is chosen from the guests for its luxurious standards. When we choose to spend 800€ each dinner and a 10k suite for 3 nights, we expect at least to have a decent service. I am talking about the employee (I don’t remember her name) of the general manager, mrs. Claudia Melatti which had the guts to ruin the dinner and the privacy of the guests and bare her cruel face all night long using the worst manners of communication ever. People like her are not meant to work in customer service. O stars for the “The View Lugano Restaurant” and will not see me there again. You have lost a very potential client!

Excellent stay. Our last minute stay due to a change of plans. Booked it the night before and arrived with great expectations that matched! View was certainly good overlooking the majestic Lugano. The other bad point is that it can get real bad going up and coming down the hotel to the train station when checking in and out, especially tourists whom are not driving. Something the hotel can consider: ferrying customers from train station which can be super helpful.

Wir haben für unseren letzten Urlaubstag einen Tisch in The View reserviert um einen letzten perfekten Abend zu haben. Es hat viel versprechend gestartet. Der Concierge hat uns in der Tiefgarage empfangen und bis hoch zum Restaurant begleitet. Wir wurden nett empfangen und zum Tisch begleitet. Schönes Ambiente, tolle Aussicht. Das Essen hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Die einzelnen Speisen wurden etwas spärlich erklärt für ein Surprise Menu aber mit dem können wir leben. Aber nun zu den Punkten, die uns enttäuscht haben und schlussendlich den Abend verdorben haben. Wir wurden nach Kaffee gefragt, haben 2 bestellt, nichts kam. Deshalb gingen wir davon aus, dass sie im Surprise Menü dabei sind. Vielleicht etwas naiv, aber den anderen Wein mussten wir ja auch bestellen. Dann die böse Überraschung bei der Rechnung. Der Süsswein wurde mit 46.- berechnet.Enttäuscht haben wir gezahlt und sind gegangen.....

Leider waren wir sehr enttäuscht von den Mitarbeitern im Hotel, vor allem von dem Personal beim Frühstück. Unfreundlich, langsam, unaufmerksam und inkompetent. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist seinen Preis nicht wert. Zu wenig Auswahl und die Portionen zum bestellen sind zu klein. Wir waren zu 3 und die Tische waren meistens nur für 2 Personen gedeckt, keinem Kellner oder Kellnerin ist in den Sinn gekommen nochmal ein Tischgedeck zu bringen, keinem! Erst als ich Essen bestellt habe und sie es gebracht haben, musste ich sie sogar darauf aufmerksam machen, mir Besteck zu bringen. NO GO! Sowas MUSS als erstes auffallen! Wir wollten Pancakes, ein Kellner sagt die kann man nicht bestellen die muss man beim Buffet holen, stimmt nicht haben wir am nächsten Tag erfahren, man muss sie doch bestellen. Zu lange Wartezeit, falsche Bestellung gebracht, Orangensaft einfach mitgenommen obwohl Glas voll. Diese Fehler kann man nicht auf Corona schieben. Personal unfreundlich und unaufmerksam, wissen teilweise nicht was sie zu essen anbieten. Terrasse dreckig. Behandeln andere die "wohlhabender" aussehen besser. Der Ton der Kellner ist unfreundlich, launisch. Niemand konnte Deutsch also ist man ohne Englisch aufgeschmissen. Beim Check Out nicht gefragt wie der Aufenthalt war, nicht gefragt ob wir mit noch etwas Hilfe brauchen, kein Interesse von der Seite des Hotelpersonals. Ist für mich kein 5 Sterne Hotel. Das Einzig positive war, dass es sehr sauber war im Zimmer und die Hotelanlage rundherum sehr gepflegt ist und der Blick auf den Lago di Lugano ist sehr schön, sonst leider nichts! Ich frage mich wozu man in der Hotel oder Gastrobranche arbeitet, wenn man so unfreundlich und launisch den Gästen gegenüber ist. Schade.

Das Hotel ist eines der teuersten Hotels in Lugano. Auch wenn die Zimmer (Junior Suite) wirklich einzigartig sind, mangelt es vorallem am Service und am Frühstücksbüffet. In den Zimmern nervte vorallem, dass die Beleuchtung im Schrank nicht abgestellt werden konnte (auch in der Nacht nicht und das Zimmer dadurch hell war), dass keine abdunkelnden Vorhänge vorhanden sind (ab 06.00 Uhr wird das Zimmer hell). Ferner geht bei jedem nächtlichen Toilettengang die Belüftung für ca. 20 Minuten an. Alles in allem trotzdem ein toller Aufenthalt (speziell die E-Smarts ist eine coole Sache).
