Way too expensive! This was once a working class restaurant and a gold mine. You want to make money quickly again. This goes wrong like its predecessors.

Super Service. We had Schniposa and a Caramelköpfli. It was good and the price was OK.

Went there after a theater performance and luckily made a reservation. We were more than amazed at how quickly the food came. Large portions at reasonable prices. We each had a daily menu with either soup or salad and coffee.

The first thing that was noticed was Mr. Waiter's lack of motivation. The order was taken by a lady. A wrong dish (twice) was served. After reporting to the waitress about the two incorrectly served dishes, we received a grotesque answer and no counter-suggestion to serve a correct menu. When clearing the plates, the customer was told to hand her the plate, which is totally outrageous. The waitress stood on the other side of the table and didn't bother to walk over and do her job correctly. As he was leaving, the waiter also ran halfway into the customer. I haven't experienced such bad service in a long time. The food didn't improve the situation either as it tasted less good. Once and never again

It is one of the very few home-style restaurants in Zurich. The service is quick and, above all, attentive and friendly. The food is also very tasty and relatively cheap by today's standards.

A place on a busy street, with a beer for 7 francs. There was a Pole and a Croatian among the staff.

I participated in a group tour and the travel agency arranged to have dinner here. Swiss meals are generally salty and I’m not used to it. I thought it was ordinary. There was very little meat in the meal, mostly minced meat.

There were 5 of us eating. I had reserved a specific table a week before and it was confirmed to me twice that we would get this table at 12pm! When we arrived the table was occupied by a few coffee ladies who had been there all morning and made no move to leave! The waitress took this very lightly and showed us to another table instead of making it clear to the ladies that they had to make room!! The food was cathastrofal, had a cordon bleu with fries and vegetables. The fries were totally over salted and with the cordon bleu the whole breading fell off when cutting, which wasn't supposed to happen and I had to look for the cheese 🧀! The other 4 people weren't happy either! A total disappointment and not recommended 👎👎! We won't eat there anymore!

Today's Cordon Bleu was the worst thing of my life. The cheese wasn't cheese, but liquid sauce, like stale cream sauce. No real meat, just ham. The breadcrumbs were rock hard. the chef should be fired. You saved on the fries. You can get more fries at every snack bar for 5 francs.

The greeting from one lady was very nice, the other "lady" was very unfriendly, arrogant and incompetent. It was the first and last time there. Restaurant almost empty, made a reservation and asked nicely if I could have the table for two near the window. She said no, she “doesn’t make mixed salad” here and left us standing there??? Even this answer, big question marks. The nice lady from the service then asked what the problem was and I explained it calmly. She then said we could take a look. Then the other “lady” shouts across the restaurant: I said no! I then asked the nice service employee if she was the boss. She said no. I would say that such furies do not fit into the service! I also work in a service company and couldn't afford to treat customers like that. That's a reason for me not to visit the restaurant anymore.

We had very rude service and the food was ready made...the service didn't give us time to read the 'menu' because she wanted to take the order after two minutes. Not recommendable.

Great little place. It looks from the outside like it would be an upscale restaurant, but when you go inside it is almost like a '50s diner with fairly casual dining. As you can see from my picture, the portions are huge. And the food was great

It's great that this place exists. Swiss cuisine, Swiss food and yet not dusty. Correspondingly well attended. Also because of the moderate prices. Highly recommended.

The food was ok but we needed defitly some ketchup for the cordon bleu ans Schnitzel as it was quite dry. At the table next to as asked in the Metzgerhalle for the vegetarian options^^ The service showed him tje different choices and he got a rösti with eggs. Funny to see but hamdled well feom the personal.

After renovation, same atmosphere as before. More for a quick snack than for a solid dinner

As a Winterthur resident, I am rarely in the Zurich region. With no destination, but hungry, we happened to walk past the butcher shop. Everything really appealed to us. Nice service and the food was very good. Typical Swiss cuisine. It's a shame that menu cards like this are becoming increasingly rare. The entrecôte and the spaetzli were great! We can recommend the restaurant!

Ideally located in the center of Oerlikon. The furnishings are very spartan, but everything is clean and well-kept. The service is very quick and attentive. We enjoyed the food, there was nothing outstanding or surprising, but you don't expect that in this restaurant. Price-performance is absolutely right.
