MIZZICA DE GIUSEPPE CUSUMANO in Carouge (GE)

I've been going there for a long time because everything is very good, apart from the waitress who always pouts. One day, arriving at noon, I sat down on a bench so as not to occupy a table. However, they refuse to serve me a coffee: “It’s reserved for people who are eating.” The loyal customer is ejected in favor of the profitable customer, it's shameful.

Really a typical place, dishes full of flavors and colors. Giuseppe the boss is a very pleasant and helpful person. I go back there often.

Some people are very unwelcome...

Everything is said, the 5 stars only reflect the reality of this unique place. We feel like we're at home, we even want to start a conversation with the tables next door because it's so warm. The cuisine is excellent, very varied and very healthy. And then the delicate and smiling service. We will come back for sure.

Everything is good at Mizzica: from espresso to caponata and of course pizza al taglio. Plus when you ask for peanuts you get a much better deal. And with a smile. Mizzica!

An extraordinary taste experience! It's so good ! A showcase of excellent Italian cuisine with prowess! The dish, the (Sicilian) wine, the tiramisu!!! Two weeks later, I still smile. The clientele is very calming. Looking forward to returning to Geneva to go to this restaurant.

Food is really amazing here. I had lunch and then spent working from there. The lunch is a buffet and try to get there early as the meat option ran out however aubergine parmigiana was one of the best I’ve had.

We arrived very late for lunch, but the owner offered us an eggplant gratin that melted in the mouth, beans and delicious gnocchi. All super fresh and tasty. Nice little terrace at the entrance to the Carouge district. I recommend !

Superb address! The pizza is very good, the products are fresh. The parmigiana is a killer, like that of Sicily, yum yum!

The place looks good and I've heard good things about it. Fairly cold service - even execrable - and for breakfast, there were croissants and toast (excellent bread). Very good spilled coffee or espresso. I didn't get a chance to eat anything else because the kitchen was closed. Maybe a bad day for the waitress but it wasn't pleasant. I had to go inside twice to order.

Super nice and well-kept place, a nice space inside, a nice terrace outside in the sun, overlooking Arve and Carouge and the tram that passes every now and then, it's like a movie. Advised!

Excellent food and coffee and ambiance!

The parmigiana and all the vegetables prepared with love and know-how are to die for, you never get tired of them! Italian specialties at the start of the day, crostata, pistachio croissants, jam, honey, etc. You can also take away. Nice and lively atmosphere inside (or quieter depending on the time), pleasant terrace in shade or sun. We always feel good there!

Sicilian food, excellent!! We ordered a buffet dish, with pumpkin lasagna, eggplant parmesan and we accompanied it with several things. We chose salad, baked potatoes and broccoli. High quality product and everything delicious.

Everything is exceptional, from the service to the dish to the price! My only disappointment is not having come across this restaurant sooner!

Excellent little Sicilian restaurant, typical and original. Closed in the evening from 6 p.m. or 8:30 p.m., weekends only Saturday until 5 p.m.

Little Aperitif Tuesday for lovers. Very good advice, very good products and an attentive welcome. Can not wait for next time.

The place is beautiful. The bosses are adorable. Morning toast, Saturday morning brioches, cannoli and tarts, the lunch buffet, antipasti on Tuesdays and Thursdays.... Everything is homemade, Italian and delicious.

Normally I don't look for Italian places outside the national borders, but Mizzica is an exception. Having breakfast with a real cappuccino and a real brioche (to be clear, the one that in a climate other than that of Geneva we would fill with ice cream) is special.

Sicilian cuisine like my mom's. I believe there is no need for further comment. The place is nice, close to transport. The welcome is warm.

I went to Mizzica for the first time a few days ago and I must say that it was a great discovery. No menu but you choose what is offered at the counter. The food is fresh, tasty and truly excellent. The plus with the terrace available; exposed to sun or shade. In short, I recommend!

Rude waitress who told us we had to leave at midday unless we ordered food. They only care about filling their tables not about customers. Avoid as there are much less pretentious and nicer ambiences elsewhere in Carouge.

Excellent cappuccino! The service is friendly and there is a very nice interior decoration reminiscent of Italy. I highly recommend !

It's always a pleasure, as a vegetarian, to eat in this little Sicilian inn. All the dishes are delicious: lots of vegetables and exceptional homemade pizzas whose dough has REALLY had time to rise to give a unique taste. Desserts also all homemade. Apart from that, I like the family atmosphere, the fact of going to the buffet yourself and choosing your dishes under the guidance of the friendly boss. Victim of its success it is sometimes difficult to find a place because reservation is not possible...but I prefer that it keeps its current size.

Just renovated! Excellent idea. Everything is always fresh and delicious (especially the pizza). With Vert Bouteille, one of the best places for aperitif planchettes in Carouge.

All products are very good and quality. The person receiving is cold but the service is OK.

Got literally blanked by a waitress while establishing what language she spoke (her colleagues spoke Italian, she only spoke french). Service at lunch is a total shambles (I was told "if you see a table free, you can order then go to the table". Got some food to take away. No offer to heat up arancini. Filling was poor. And to top it all off got an upset stomach from it. There are many decent places to go to in carouge, maybe this one is decent on certain times and certain dishes, but it is patchy at best. A pity, because it looked like it had potential.

This place is the perfect spot for delicious homemade italian food. Enjoy wonderful italian style coffee, fresh food, in a contemporary setting. An italian oasis in the heart of Geneva!
