For a whopping 26 CHF there was a touch of Möckli. So approximately the amount that can be bought in a small Migros pack. Bread was only added upon request - because with the few slices of Möckli and 2 only 2 cornichons + 4 pearl onions you can't even take it seriously as a starter. Sad affair. But staff very friendly!

From what I understand, the restaurant was recently taken over. I gave it 4 stars 2 years ago, mainly for the value for money and the friendliness of the staff. For the cheese fritters before the change of ownership: 12.-- for the 2 pieces with salad and 18.-- galore. And there we are: 21.-- for 2 donuts and 25.50 galore (unless I'm mistaken) I find that really EXAGGERATED!!!! We agree that everything increases, but that's no reason to take advantage of it to this extent. Too bad, I don't think I'll come back.

We were greeted by a very friendly staff. Luckily we arrived early and were able to eat before the restaurant was entirely booked for the evening. A reservation for dinner is required as the restaurant is completely booked every evening. The restaurant is famous for its cheese beignets, which we did not try. After a beautiful hike from Sainte-Croix we wanted a fondue. The fondue was too mild for our taste and lacked garlic, nutmeg and kirsch. Prices are reasonable.

Do you like folklore? Don't miss this restaurant. Apart from the fact that the dining rooms are tastefully decorated, even some furniture is made by the owner. The dishes are delicious, the fondue is killer. All the servers very friendly and smiling. We appreciated the little touch of folkloric clothing so rare these days. In short, hurry up and get there before it closes on October 29. If not, you’ll have to wait until next year 😉

Very good restaurant. The cheese fritter formula with unlimited salad was delicious. The price is very reasonable. As for the service, they are very efficient and fast. Unfortunately, one of the servers has a way of responding that is not very adequate and thinks he knows everything... Anyway, come and taste this famous cheese fritter. In a magnificent setting surrounded by mountains illuminated by a beautiful sun, cheese fritter, tasty and unlimited. Very pleasant server, smiling and attentive, his first name is Jason, to be pronounced in the American way. I recommend without hesitation.

Back to donuts after another change of boss. Great decor and service, the donuts are good again, however the price increase is a bit excessive. 21CHF for two donuts or 25.5 at will, the liters of drinks have also disappeared. The servers are super friendly.

We ate well, impeccable service. Although the chalet was full, we were made very welcome and they did everything to find us a place. The decor of the chalet is magnificent, the cuisine is excellent. We will return with pleasure. The viewpoint a few meters away offers a splendid view. We hadn't been back there for a few years given the welcome from the previous owner.

*** in response to yours: Thank you for your response and suggestion but I took the trouble to make these comments on the spot... :-) Why not keep a table for people who want to sit comfortably for a coffee, (especially since it was 45 minutes before noon) and also giving some explanations to customers would also be appreciated. As for the music, this is the 2nd time that I have come since the reopening and the 2nd time that there has been this music. We kindly asked to lower the volume... so we were definitely in a bad situation. :-) Having been regulars at this place for many years, we were really looking forward to it being taken over by new owners, hoping for a more friendly welcome than the particularly cavalier one from the former owner... Unfortunately, what was our disappointment at having just entitled to uncomfortable milk bottles as stools to have the possibility of drinking a little coffee on the terrace at 11:15 a.m. when there was STRICTLY NO ONE at the dozen tables outside... All accompanied by music worthy of nightclubs... too bad for this place located in the heart of nature where we come to look for something else. We were hesitant to stay for lunch; this unprofessional treatment made us decide to eat elsewhere. Damage !

Yes indeed I loved it!! The welcome is warm, the decor...I'm not telling you...it's crazy, the milk boilers as stools, the lids as lamps...and everything else, it's just great! As for the cuisine, I really enjoyed the cheese fritters and there is also a nice menu, desserts and a little surprise to finish. To discover!!

We ate good cheese fritters. On the other hand, we were disappointed by the welcome and the service, the smile being visibly optional with the exception of the young man serving who was pleasant. But dog owners, hide your dogs under the table, otherwise they are in the way and are not welcome.
