Nice place to stop after a hike. We were lucky and were able to sit outside thanks to the warm rays of sunshine. The Naturfreundehaus Fronalp was very busy that day and yet we found a nice spot. The restaurant is self-service. But if you order something to eat, it is brought to your table - I think that's really nice. Despite the many guests, the staff was very friendly and motivated. The food was home-style, which went well. We ate sausage and cheese salad and Ziger pasta. We will definitely come again!

Today my brother and I were in this beautiful place and received excellent and attentive culinary care and pampering. We've been there before, but there weren't any free seats left, which isn't surprising given the great atmosphere and the view. Today we were lucky. We enjoyed hot chocolate and homemade apple strudel on the sun terrace. A place to unwind! I would easily hike up the mountain again for the chocolate with real chocolate sprinkles.

After a family hike in the beautiful Mullern area, we actually wanted to treat ourselves to a delicious dessert at the Naturfreundehaus. The terrace was pretty well occupied and after a short wait a seat became available. It took a while for the waiter to notice us. Then he told us that the kitchen was still closed and therefore there was no ice cream (2:15 p.m.). The kitchen would be opening again shortly, but there were still a lot of other guests waiting ahead of us. So in short, there is nothing. The children were of course correspondingly disappointed. We settled for a coffee. It's a shame, because the location and the playground would be great for further visits. Maybe better if there aren't so many people around.

The location is fantastic overlooking the valley and all the way out towards lake Zürich. They have a very nice terrace and the service is friendly. We found some of the fancier food items to be rather pricey, but given the view that's acceptable. The road going up is narrow and steep and long and winding, so it's a bit of a drive from the valley floor. And there aren't very many parking spots. But it's a great place and a good starting spot for some beautiful hikes.
