Nostalgie Bar in Vitznau

Food and service were great! The daily menu with meat was excellent and the pizza was good value for money. The nostalgic decoration in the interior lives up to the name of the store. Like so many things, this is of course a matter of taste. If you had been able to sit outside, you would have been able to enjoy a unique view over the lake. In summer you should definitely take advantage of the opportunity in the evenings too!

Lovely cafe / bar a short walk fm vitznau Station. Lovely hostess, lovely views over lake and nice ambience and touches / memorabilia in cafe. We had soup for lunch - creme of cauliflower and fennel which was excellent and beef bouillon which was superb and clearly made.from basic principles. Well worth a visit!!

We love Nostalgie Bar. When we are in Vitznau, we come here to enjoy the food and their great hospitality. The food is really great: big portions and tasty. Kiki is very friendly and kind. I’m so happy that Nostalgie Bar is so close to the hotel where we usually stay. I look forward to coming here every year.

Despite the surprising decoration, the cuisine is excellent, the dishes are simple but perfectly prepared. The service is impeccable, plus it has a wonderful wine list! Almost all wines can be taken by the glass. The desserts are as wonderful as the dishes. Thank you for this great experience!

It's nice, cozy here and it's right on the lake. The service is fast and good. The cheese fondue was very good if you like garlic and the spaghetti bolognese was also well received. We'd love to come back.

Food was delicious, we had the plate of the day and it was very cheap for Switzerland! We payed 56.6 CHF and we ate 2 plates of the day which included meat, fries, sauce, vegetables, soup/salad and bread! In the mentioned price 2 drinks were also included! The service was also great! Free WI-FI and very friendly and amicable staff (waitress even lent me her phone charger)! The decor was really inviting, we went on valentines day and the tables had heart napkin holders. The view is spectacular right into the lake! Bonus: Very clean bathrooms with a speaker playing wave sounds!

This restaurant is made for everyone. A warm, nice location with lots of creative culinary impressions. The range of food and tapas is extremely diverse, very diverse and varied. The hosts are extremely accommodating and take time to listen to the guests' needs and wishes. Go on!!!!

Amazing! This restaurant was just down the road from my airbnb, very happy I tried it. The waiter I had was AWSOME, he took his time and walked me through the whole menu in english, which I was very grateful for! The staff as a general were great!

A little pearl on Lake Lucerne. Were there yesterday for Sushi Night. Wonderful food, a great wine selection that is second to none and much of it is also available by the glass. The Chenin Blanc is awesome! Plus the location on the lake with one of the most beautiful sunsets in Switzerland. Oli and his team are born hosts who make you feel welcome and comfortable. We will definitely be back.

The salad i tooked was delicious but it was a little portion. For an adult men it's not enough. We asked for more bread en we never saw any bread. I also found a long hair in my salad. I want to answer your reaction: The ober asked of we wanted more bread and we said yes but he brought us no more bread. The hair i found was 20cm long. And we didn't shared a salad. I tooked the one with the chicken slices and my girlfriend the one with salmon and it was little. Greetings.

Great food, friendly waiter and amazing view

I doubt my rating of 5 stars is because I can actually relax with a spectacular view, enjoy my meal, and have a family conversation. Because out of all the places I visited and ate at, this deserves 10 stars, I just can’t find a way to get to 10 stars. This is a place that everyone should try.

Found this gem as we were looking for a place for lunch after visit to Mount Rigi. The English menu was helpful and the owners were friendly and welcoming. Ordered the fried chicken, carbonara spaghetti and a tomato spaghetti for the 4 of us (2 adults and 2 kids), the food was lovely especially the carbonara. Portion was good and service was great! Restaurant is beautifully decorated, in theme with the namesake. Atmosphere was lovely with the lake in the background and slightly cool breeze. Being Asians from the tropics, we usually don’t dine outdoors but we braved the sun (and UV rays) for our meal as it was really lovely. We consider this as one of our best meals during our holiday in Switzerland. Thank you!

Terrible! The most outrageous behavior from the waiter (around 60 years old) I have ever seen in Switzerland! We also had stomach pains afterwards. Will never go there again! Horrible! Le comportement le plus scandaleux du serveur (homme d'environ 60 ans) que j'ai jamais vu en Suisse! Nous avons also once au ventre après. Je n'y retournerai jamais!

AMAZING. This is my ultimate favorite restaurant in all of Switzerland. The kindest owners & chef, amazing food, beautiful view of the park and water They do wonderful seasonal menus that are super unique, ended up trying like 8/11 things on the season menu Must come! Came twice in one day, take out and dine in!!! Chicken in a basket comes with a special sauce that is to die for! The steak sandwich I will think about it forever lol Came back the next day as well, 3 times in 2 days!!!!

The See-Cafe has finally found a worthy successor. Wonderful food and a very charming host couple. The chicken in the Chörbli with fries and homemade sauce was a dream. Even the Gotthard in Weggis can pack its bags. Really sensational! The prices for this quality are absolutely reasonable. The craft can be paid decently. I can really warmly recommend this restaurant. Don't forget to redeem the hairdresser vouchers! :-) Wish you continued success and lots of nice guests!!

We went to this restaurant to eat at Easter. Of course I had to make a reservation. Delicious food, friendly service. We were greeted with a “warm welcome”. We really felt like: The guest is king" At this point I would like to say a big thank you. The Tabas also have a poem about the fried perch. An excellent wine list as well as a selection of cakes and desserts. An excellent coffee! At the end a small grappa... also a large selection. We were so surprised. The terrace looks directly onto the lake and with the sunset the whole thing was just... perfect 🌹🍷 We will come visit you again soon and are already looking forward to the good food. Most Racist restaurant in Switzerland. Worst experience in Switzerland so far. The (male) restaurant waiter/owner (around his 50s) chased us out immediately because of the colour of our skin and ethnicity. We stand by this testimony for anyone who wants to hear more details.

I can only recommend this restaurant. The menu is very diverse and wonderfully designed. The innkeeper is very attentive and personable. The nostalgic exhibits can be viewed and purchased at your leisure. We would love to come back to this restaurant.

I came here to eat before going to Mount Rigi, and it was so good!! The owner kindly explained everything, and there were a variety of cheeses and plenty of them. Totally recommend!!

I would recommendet, to visit Nostalgie Bar, to anyone who is visiting or just passing trought that area. Or hiking around those beatifull places and after, he need to refresh himself. Food was amazing, with great service. For drinking i choose beer, they have many options. And cheery on top of the cake about that resturant, is for my opinion, ambient. They running a reall museum, with items for watching and you can even buy, those item. Afterall, im giving 5stars, without any hesitation, would give 6, but there is no option. Really nice resturant, besides very known lake in central schwyz...amazing view from terase, where you can enjoy your great meall.

We visited the Nostalgie Bar on the Graubünden theme evening. The first thing we noticed was the exhibition in the restaurant. It's unbelievable what's on display there. A journey into the past. And hey, you can still purchase the pieces. Truly exceptional. The very nice hosts of the Nostalgie Bar in Vitznau then brought us to the table and really pampered us. The food was excellent. Kudos to the chef. Wines that light up the heart and surprise, all served by the glass. Exactly our thing, as we were able to get there by car and still drink a very good wine. Our tip: reserve a table, it is very well attended! Josi and I felt very good and we will definitely come back soon because of the variety in the menu. Very interesting. I just had one of the best beef tartare here in a long time. Friendly new restaurant where you can hang out as a club after the rehearsal. Varied menu that offers something for every appetite. Large selection of high-quality open wines. I'll definitely be back!

Great new restaurant in Vitznau. The atmosphere is cozy and very pleasant. The owner couple is very warm and friendly. Great food, especially the tapas are great. You can try different things. And at the end, homemade cake, great!
