Went here on 12.02.2024 at 19:30 for some nice dinner. The city was full of people during the Fasnacht Event. All 4 seats are full downstairs which is why we only wanted to check if there are any availabe seats upstairs. On the way up the lady at the counter saying we need to order at there. If course I know that it's not my first time eating here. I said we only want to check upstairs if any seats are available and also place down our things. My hands were full. The lady kept on shouting and insisting that we ordered at the counter. I said we will be back to order there at the counter. She got very furious for us even checking the availability of the seats upstairs. We just left after that. We won't tolerate such bad behaviour from a restaurant. Never had a problem here in Lucerne with any restaurants. Very bad customer service. Never going back here again. Too bad the owner changed. The older owner which was a guy was very friendly. I would advise for everyone to avoid this restaurants at all costs. never again thank you.

Unfortunately we were unlucky with the food. Exactly, the pineapple in the dish was sour and spoiled and the rice and vegetables had also gotten a whiff from the fridge. Unfortunately, the seasoning was also bland. The staff wasn't particularly friendly and it took a long time. The tables upstairs were smeared, but the waitress didn't moan about it. The pennies were already in bags. Pay first, then don't even ask how it tasted. It doesn't have to be with the good selection of restaurants in Lucerne

Ate here on 20.11.2023. After burning through our budget previously for a couple of days on super inflated food prices, we stumbled on this unassuming gem. We were not expecting much as it is a take away but they have seats upstairs and the food...just incredible. Maybe a bit spicy for the western taste buds so advise the cook.

Thai restaurant! I found this place by chance while traveling, and it's really great to eat when you're tired of European food! Honestly, even if it were Korea, there would have been a line at this restaurant!!

Solid Thai food, but unfortunately somewhat disinterested service. The young gentleman was nice, the cook primarily made a stone and didn't say "thank you" or "goodbye" in return. Food so far so good. Prices very competitive. However, the price-performance ratio is definitely right.

We ordered downstairs and upstairs was a small dining room that has seating in configuration of tables of Two/seats about 18. We ordered Pad Thai and it was perfect! Prices go up depending on protein source.

It was a lovely place which ran by a couple. The food was ok but if many people there, you need to wait a bit longer as only two of them cooking. But just to warn you all that be careful when taking money out of your wallet at restaurant, I think we were target by pickpockets when we paid for the food at here. Eventually our money was stolen at the Luzern Station because we remember this is the last place that we took out our money and paid.

Really good cuisine, freshly prepared, friendly and personable. You can still eat well in Lucerne's old town. 😁. No, there are also other praiseworthy restaurants in addition to the many establishments that are designed for non-recurring day trips.

Oh Wow Supper Rude Owner! When ordering, needed some help to find out about the ingredients...owner was really unhelpful and kept turning away. Typical Asian style, folks would enjoy food family style. The 5 of us ordered 4 large dishes to share, and plus we don't eat that much. Asked for 2 extra plates and the owner declined telling us that we did not order enough food. Don't be in restaurant business if you can't treat customers right!

Top price, very good location. Food tastes very good. Panaeng curry without kaffir lime leaves is not entirely original. Still tastes delicious. Generous portions, beautifully presented.

We went there for a quick and cheap takeaway on our way back to the hotel. The place was already smelling a lot like meat and fish when we entered. They had limited vegetarian options, but we went for the Thai green curry with tofu. The quantity was okay for the price (18 CHF), but the quality did not feel on par with it at all. The curry wasn't green enough and the taste was also so-so.

Came with my girlfriends Thai family and was most disappointing and expensive meal of our whole European trip. Good location, the waiter was nice. very pricey, rude owner that should not be in the hospitality industry, food tasted OK, most not OK. Nothing tasted good. Non spicy dishes were still spicy because they were cooked in the same wok as the spicy dishes without cleaning... 8 adults (half above 70 yrs old) 1 baby and 1 small kid. Obliged to order 9 dishes (average price of 20 sw fr). Hard to move around because of the baby and elders. Owner kept rushing us to order and kept being rude. Red curry: bamboo smell, not edible Tom yum fish: fish had so many bones and smelled rotten fishy, broth didn't have enough flavor, was just so plain Kraprao: very salty. Beef was chewy. No basil smell. Stir fry cashew nut: not a single nut in this dish. Food has too much MSG. Felt thirsty and dehydrate after eating. We had more than half of food left over since we were forced to order more than we needed. Would not recommend to my worst enemy, will never return and wish I had stepped in the second we were required to order a minimum.

It's delicious. I haven't had a chance to eat Thai food in Korea, but it's delicious... I recommend Pad Thai. My mom says it's the best, and there's almost no flavor of liver or spices, which is perfect for Korean tastes. There's peanut powder in the sauce, so sprinkle more. PAT MED MA MUNG is also delicious. Spicy. It's stir-fried chicken (you are asked to choose the type of meat) and cashew nuts. There are a lot of vegetables and rice is served separately. What kind of curry is this? It's a red curry, but the coconut milk tastes greasy. Mom says it's not that good. The price range is 18-20 francs. Thanks to you, I ordered 3 menu items and spent 80,000 won haha.

If you've been to Thailand and liked Thai food, not Korean-style Thai food, it's definitely delicious. I really like tom yum, it was very spicy and salty, the fried rice was very delicious, and the rice topped with pork was also very delicious. The duck meat rice bowl is also delicious. Swiss food is so expensive and tasteless that I ate here two days in a row. The owner is also kind.

France -> Switzerland While I was staying there, I really wanted to eat food from other countries, and I found it in Lucerne!! All the food was delicious, but the Pad Thai was a bit dry! Other than that, the portion was really generous and delicious! The prices didn't feel expensive compared to Swiss prices. We ordered 3 dishes for the two of us, and I thought my stomach was going to explode. But I ate it all.. 😊 You order on the first floor and eat on the second floor, and I think there were about 4 tables! It's not big, but it's not too close to the neighbors or uncomfortable at all, so I enjoyed my meal comfortably!

We were in a big hurry as we were part of a tour group and had to eat and leave within 20 mins and the lady (owner)cooked our food immediately and served it in less than 7 mins. The taste and quality was superb. This is coming from someone who previously didn't like Thai food!

Small takeaway shop near with more sitting on level 1. We ordered 2 curries for lunch, Panang and Green Curry. The food is coocked as you ordered. It's fresh, good portion size, and has enough vegetable inside. However, it just a bit lack of originality in taste.

The Tom Yum soup here was truly delicious and authentic. Me and my partner had ordered both the Chicken Tom Yum and the Shrimp Tom Yum and it each had its own great flavors. The Chicken Tom Yum was more of the typical lemongrass style, while the Shrimp Tom Yum was more mellow. Both had generous amount of ingredients, was rich, and was very fairly priced. Will definitely come again if I am back in Lucerne!

After three weeks in Switzerland, from Basel to Bern to Interlaken and finally Lucerne, I must say this is the best and most fairly priced meal we've had in this country. Despite the various thai and chinese restaurants peppering the area, we were hard pressed to find a good, authentic asian meal below 20chf. This place delivered just that. We ordered 2 bowls of tom yum kung (shrimp - 18chf, chicken - 17chf) to cut through the cold wind after a long day up on Pilatus Kulm. We were absolutely blown away by the deep and complex flavours that filled our mouths with just one bite. THIS is tom yum. Unlike the typical weak, almost transparent liquid likely concocted from seasoning powder that most restaurants claim to be 'tom yum kung'. Both soups were rich and meticulously brewed, with generous servings of chicken breast meat and shrimp respectively. The shrimp tom yum had a milder taste with more of a coconut milk flavour with a hint of the sweetness of shrimp. On the other hand, the chicken tom yum packed a punch with a heavier sour and fragrant lemongrass flavour coming through. Personally I preferred the chicken tom yum because I enjoy the stronger tom yum taste. When we finished our meal, we could clearly see all the spices and herbs that gave the soups their rich taste. What is impressive is also that they are clearly made from different stocks, not just the same pot with different meat thrown in. Only thing to note is that our food took about 30min to come. The tom yum seems to take longer than other dishes like pad thai. However, it was only a 2-man show and the wait was worth it. I highly recommend this place; it was open on 2 Jan when very few places in Lucerne were.

Literally Oh Wow !! The BEST Thai food we had during our trip. The cook is authentic very nice Thai lady. Very recommended. Good price too. We love all the three dishes that we ordered, thank you again :)

Too long a wait, had to wait at least 30 minutes for the order. The Pad Thai was just swimming in oil, and I wanted it with shrimps and beef. I paid 3 CHF more and got 3 shrimps in return. Very unhygienic too. When she noticed that I was looking, she washed the pan with soap instead of just water and the soap was no sooner gone than it was on the side to dry. The noodles were like dough, sticky and overcooked so that you could almost spoon it with a fork. In addition, everything ran out of the take away container. I don't normally write reviews, but this was so disgusting that it's my first time writing one. It's a shame that you can't give zero stars.

The price is almost half cheaper than other places in Lucerne, but the taste and quality are better. Not only does it taste great, the presentation is also very thoughtful! Highly recommended! (Their first floor looks desolate, but the second floor is very cozy)

Try Pad Thai at many restaurants and places, for me this is not so outstanding and it’s a little bit too oily. After eating half, feel kinda boring. However, the plus is very fast serving, the meat is fried to the good point, in total, good meal with reasonable price. Probalbly gonna come back.

The taste was unexpectedly authentic!! So flavourful!! Somemore considered affordable for the given portion. The dishes even much better than some I had in Thailand. Thumbs up. Should definitely visit here if you’re in an eager to fix your Asian food craving! 🥳

The best Thai in town! Amazing food and amazing people 👌🏽 On top, the gorgeous view in the 1 floor, where you can enjoy the food and look to the beautiful Weinmarkt piazza.

Apart from the almost raw onions, the food was very tasty and, above all, very well portioned. Which leads to the star deduction: since my language skills in Thai are not that good and I don't eat Thai food regularly, I had to rely on the photos. Unfortunately my dish looked different and unexpectedly contained no sauce. The atmosphere was like a snack bar. On the table I had 2 salt shakers, another container with salt and Sambal Oleg in a sealed jar with no portioning option. There is definitely room for improvement here. Nevertheless, I would eat there again

Don't eat there if you're vegetarian. I ordered Pad Thai Tofu for Takeaway. When i started eating at home, i noticed there was chicken in it. I reported the issue with the contact form on their website. No response. Next time I was there, I brought it up again, they did not care about it or offer an apology or anything. They don't understand that serving meat to a vegetarian is a big deal.

I can not recommend. Customer service and handling is inappropriate. Portion of Noodles was too spicy and therefore asked for a less spicy portion. We were spit off with the words that we should buy a new portion. After begging several times, the owner had condescended to serve a bit of rice without anything.... How stingy and greedy for profit can you be? A portion of Noodles is cheaply made so why make a fuss out of it?? The Shop should better rethink their Customer Service strategy... Treating Customers disrespectful shouldnt be rewarded.

This is a Thai restaurant. I ate green curry and shrimp fried rice, but it was so delicious that I couldn’t even take a picture! Menus are reasonably priced and have a wide selection. The staff are also friendly and cheerful! I ate warm curry soup on a rainy day. It was warm and filling, so I think I made a good choice :) I recommend it.

Oh Wow has been our regular Thai restaurant for over 2 years. Large portions, fresh and inexpensive. The service is quick and friendly, and everything is sparkling clean. We live steps away and get Pad Thai, Lab Issan and Curry a few times a month. Unusual for us because we like to cook ourselves and don't usually eat take-away. My sister, who has visited Thailand several times, says it is the best Thai food she has had in Switzerland. You can also eat quite nicely on the first floor. In front of there you can see the beautiful wine market square.

Here, every meal is freshly cooked to order. Tasty and authentic, only the Thai spiciness is adapted to a European level. However, you should bring some time (up to 20 minutes depending on the crowd and the dish) for some dishes, as this is not fast food. However, your taste buds will thank you for your patience.
