Oktoberfest Zürich in Zürich

The Oktoberfest at Bauschänzli is well located on Bürkliplatz. Very well served by public transport, there are paid parking spaces in the area for cars. The Sunday brunch offers guests a diverse selection of dishes; the selection of drinks is limited. The quality and preparation of the food was great, really tasty, only the freshness of the bread selection was rather sufficient. There may be a need for action here. The price level for the food and drinks is in the high price segment. The service staff was discreet, cheerful and efficient. Unfortunately, the time in the queue until the scoop was about 20 minutes was definitely too long (the tent was only half full). The buffet may need to be arranged differently to ensure faster processing. The live music was too loud for a brunch occasion. The toilets were ok in terms of cleanliness.

Everything's ok. Price performance, well, quite ok for the party. However, when it comes to going home, 0 stars!! In order to catch the 11:20 p.m. train to Schaffausen from Tiefenbrunnen train station (walking distance approx. 10 minutes), I wanted to leave at 10:45 p.m. I almost missed the train because 0 people didn't understand the Securitas assistants while hunting. Despite repeated discussions that my last connection would leave in 10 minutes, there was no understanding!!! Very unfortunate. Unfortunately, or thanks to selfishness, I succeeded in my connection. Apologies to everyone I had to “push ahead” to pick up my hunting.

Service and cloakroom underground, can't find jacket and pass it on to the customer. Simply lousy host qualities for the hefty price

We had a MEGA evening, great atmosphere, music... just everything. Next year we'll be there again. HAMMER! Lucerne congratulates Zurich.

Eternal waiting in front of the entrance because the obligatory cloakroom (3.-!!!) is hopelessly overwhelmed. Security under all guns, I hope that new security will be hired in the future that doesn't employ wannabe cops. So… no, I don’t have to go back.

Absolute juice shop. Due to a lack of understanding from the bank opposite, I stood on the table for 1 second and was taken away by Securitas with my hands behind my back. If these actions are not desired, simply don't make music and you'll have 99% fewer kickouts. We reserved 2 tables for 20 people and therefore had to leave after 2 hours... a shame about the 2,500.-... it would have been better to throw it into the Limmat... you would have had more of it! Recommendation: Buy !!NO!! Ticket! You can burn your money better!

One star each for the service and the atmosphere. Eating doesn't work at all, no taste, knuckle not cooked well enough, mashed potatoes just powder without any taste, just disappointing.

Great atmosphere, great staff and music! There is a small deduction because you can no longer order half-liter beer (except Schneider Weisse & non-alcoholic) and the cheese spaetzli could have a little more taste.

What a mood yesterday on Pink Monday! - Bavaria 3000 volume. - unique and great! We are already looking forward to the 2023 Bauschänzli Oktoberfest in Zurich! - with you and the service crew from Austria!

Beware! You can't take your Beer or any other drink outside of the tent to the smokers section - totally incomprehensible as they sell drinks at the bar as well in glasses and even in pottery mugs... Also if you have bought a 10 or more person table you can only use the vouchers in the tent not at the bar etc. to the smokers section which is also run by Candrian Catering... Just a way of maximising profit and encouraging not tipping... They claim it is for accounting reasons. Also when you buy a table e.g.10 persons 700 bucks you get 60 bucks of consumation vouchers. 3 Vouchers at 20 bucks each... If you just order one drink at 10 (cider) 0.5l or 17bucks (1l of beer) the rest is lost so it encourages NOT tipping the staff or taking something else thus maximising the consumption... Zurich per se is overpriced but that was the 3rd and last time at Bauschänzli Oktoberfest... Inside you can use the vouchers (20bucks aka CHF) at a time but you get beer wine, champaigne and some alcohol free drinks plus cider while at the bar outside you get a bigger selection but you can't pay with the money spent on vouchers... Thanks but I won't support that in future. Either you overthink your model and let people use their vouchers at any bar and let them take their beer to the smokers section or you hopefully loose some visitors not playing that game in future... Just incomprehensible that practice... Thanks but that was the last time... Food is ok and the Staff is friendly. Security watches so you can't move with the drinks between sections.

Impossible even to book a place for 2-3 people in advance.

The website actually makes a good impression. But the fact that you cannot remove the welcome message and the direct redirection to the ticket corner hinders the use of the website.

The staff was extremely friendly despite the stress that exists there. Unfortunately, the mood throughout the evening wasn't always great. When the band wasn't playing, there was no music, so the relaxed atmosphere with dancing and stuff was immediately gone. When the band started again they had to “set up” everything again. Unfortunately, these fluctuations had a very negative impact on the evening, so I wouldn't necessarily recommend this location for the Oktoberfest.

It's not possible how guests are treated in 2019...it's cleaned up when over 100 people have to queue up to go out...even though every single guest has spent at least over 100...it's a state of affairs is not acceptable and is not worthy of a restaurant.
