Definitely old place and over the years they haven't done any kind of intervention to freshen up the environment a bit. The gentlemen who serve (probably husband and wife owners) are very uncourteous and very unhumble, they praise that they have been doing this job for more than 30 years (not done very well). For the rest, normal prices, few seats inside but nice tables outside. Many parking spaces nearby, some even with blue discs.

Late arrival at the restaurant at 2:00 p.m. and without reservation. Home cooking, simple, hearty and delicious. The decoration of the establishment is vintage but very clean and in perfect condition. Very pleasant welcome. It is recommended to order in English even if French is well understood. 23.50 SF for daily menu (starter and main course), drink and coffee.

Osteria with simple, well-made and tasty dishes, fast and attentive service, excellent value for money. Frequented by many regular customers, I understand why. Everyone was really friendly, it was a very pleasant lunch break, we will definitely be back!

Food was great! Owner served us the risotto (di mare) for one person even though usually only for 2 people. The carbonara was on point as well. Cash only, limited English but who cares? This is the true local neighborhood place you have to to go to, if you are in Lugano. Price is very reasonable and portions are big. We will come back!

Delicious food in a cosy restaurant with friendly service :) we ordered a gnocchi al gorgonzola and risotto frutti di mare (seafood risotto) which were both full of flavour. The strudel di mele (apple strudel) for dessert was lovely too.

The best stuffed peppers in all of Ticino! Fish, meat, pasta all excellent and plentiful. Milan exceptional chef. Highly recommended

Ordered 4 different menus. Spaghetti Carbonara, Spaghetti al Pesto, Risotto al Funghi, Risotto Fruta di Mare. All menus were super tasty. The food is really freshly prepared, so there is a waiting time of around 20 minutes for the risotto, but it's really worth it!!! The staff is also really friendly and quick. Lovely again!!!

Super staff they made special service and effort for us to make my little girl happy after the kitchen just closed and gave us such a good experience with delicious local food and wine 🍷 for a very good price and lots of smiles 😃 I can highly recommend this place especially the table with a lake view and close to free parking , and space for the kids to play !

Considering that we are in the middle of the city, Osteria Alice retains the taste of the village trattoria. The menu is simple, the dishes rustic and tasty. Don't expect gourmet dishes or refinements. Here everything is easy to use, clean, the staff is always helpful and kind. On the other hand, if the same customers have been frequenting this place for more than 30 years... there must be a reason!

I spent a lot of time in this place

Gniocchi al pesto - too oily, looks like soup, absolutely inedible and I find it incomprehensible how, as a restaurateur, you can serve the visual result to a guest like that, it remains a mystery to me
