Osteria Borgo in Zürich

We organized an event for 17 people directly with the managing director. He responded to our special requests in a very professional and committed manner so that we could create our very own event. We had the whole upper floor to ourselves, which made us feel very comfortable. The service is very friendly, with so many people they sometimes forget something, but they have proven themselves to be linguistic geniuses :-) The appetizers were phenomenal and the portions are also very promising. Thank you very much for this experience!

NOT WORTH IT: We had the three course menu and were very dissapponted. The arrabiatta was way too sweet, it tasted like there was Thai sweet sauce in it. The risotto was watery and the fillet overcooked. For dessert they gave us two of the same on the tasting plate because they were out. The menu with water only was more than 150 CHF, definitely not worth it.

This time too it was a completely successful evening. The friendly and uncomplicated atmosphere, the attentive service and the delicious food. Top! We'd love to come back.

Very friendly and attentive waiter (the young one). The tagliatelle diavolo and the tiramisu are highly recommended, but the cheesecake was not so convincing.

It doesn't get any better. Top Italian at an unbeatable price-performance ratio for the Zurich location.

The food tasted terrible. It looks appetizing and beautifully prepared, but unfortunately it doesn't taste good. The pasta dishes were both very dry, extremely oily and not really a treat for the palate. It seems as if these were not freshly prepared, but had been left out all day. White wine and saffron risotto were not a homogeneous mass. Unfortunately, these didn't convey the taste of the risotto at all. Unfortunately the entrecote was also rubbery. For this price you can really expect a lot more. It's a shame because the restaurant has great potential. Beautiful location and a great location. It's a shame about the food. Tiramisu, on the other hand, was delicious. The waitress, a young gentleman, was very friendly and created a good atmosphere. However, it is a shame that the starter plates were simply left on the table and were only cleared away when it was our turn to eat the main course. No new cutlery was brought to us either. We don't like to leave almost CHF 300 for this service. Nice restaurant but unfortunately not worth the money. A pity.

We discovered the Osteria by chance on our way through Zurich in the evening! A direct hit! The wine selection is very good and the food is great!! Everything was cooked very lovingly and with high-quality ingredients. And that's exactly what you taste. The most important calling card for a restaurant are the simple things: bread and olive oil. Both here are absolutely great. We could have stayed seated forever, the atmosphere and music were too beautiful. A very special thank you goes to the very warm, attentive and friendly service staff! Thank you for this great evening, we will definitely be back!

Service was a major disappointment. Complete disinterest on a Saturday afternoon. Food was up & down, with good entrees (octopus & beef open sandwich) but very bland mains (black pasta very bland) & the spicy pasta without spicy & flavour.

Very nice restaurant, very courteous service and very fine food. I was there last Saturday and am leaving again today because I liked it so much. I am a vegetarian and found a good selection of menus. You have a very large one Selection of wines by the glass. Very good value for money, especially in expensive Zurich!

Landed here by chance. Extremely positively surprised. Very nice service, very good cuisine. We decided on the Tavolata. Everything was authentic and very well cooked. The ambience is also very successful. Great job.

The food was okay, the first service too... However, there was a lot of personal gossip going on behind the counter! audible to everyone, even after exchanging glances several times, there was no reaction... looked back rather snooty! Such chatter has no place in a restaurant with these prices!

Great experience - we just wanted to have a coffee with friends and then stayed for dinner. Easy reservation and friendly service. We all had pumpkin soup and homemade tagliatelle with truffles - a unique experience.

Amazing atmosphere, friendly service and fantastic tasting food. The wine selection is quite elaborate and the menu options are plentiful. If I was rich, I’d eat dinner here every day!

Food was very tasty, top service, easy reservation, quick answers, were happy to accommodate special requests, good price-performance ratio. Dessert selection a bit small, but the desserts we had were all delicious!

Cozy, centrally located restaurant with very friendly service. Excellent food, tavolata to start, gnocchi, tagliattele and risotto as a starter and T-bone steak with vegetables as a main course. Tiramisu and "torta della nonna", all homemade for dessert. Nice selection of wines also by the glass. Simply perfect, I can only highly recommend it.

Charming Italian spot with friendly staff. The Spinach Ravioli was outstanding. The Potato Gnocchi w/ Cheese was too cheesy. Avoid that one, unless you want a very cheesy, bland dish. But that Spinach Ravioli was not to be missed…also enjoyed the Vegetable Soup.

One of the best meal we had in Switzerland. Do make reservations to avoid disappointment.

My wife's menu was good except for the pasta > too al dente. With my Cordonbleu the pasta was inedible > strange taste, pasta was also too firm to the bite. Price a bit high in my opinion. Would one accept it if everything was OK? O. Unfortunately no feedback from the kitchen regarding the inedible pasta.

We were here for the first time yesterday and very disappointed. First a waiter served us, he was nice and brought us the drinks straight away. I ordered pasta with pumpkin, my colleague Stroganoff - to our surprise we received both dishes within a few minutes of ordering but unfortunately the food was tasteless, hard and although I often go out for Italian food, I haven't eaten that badly yet. The most unpleasant thing was the waitress who served us afterwards. When I complained about my pasta she was immediately unpleasant, no smile, very ignorant. It was around 10:25 p.m. and we were still drinking wine then she came and said that she was about to close and could she bring the bill (?!) She just didn't feel like working, very arrogant and gave the feeling that we weren't are welcome. We will never go there again!

The restaurant is really good. Atmosphere is perfect, however kitchen made bad risotto. Thanks to service, we receive free desert and coffee for that. But meat is one love for me, the best of the best ❤️‍🔥

We are clearly a muslim family and made sure our waitress knew that but unfortunately we were served salami pork and we would’ve ate it if we didn’t asked other than that, everything was good

Hidden gem in the Niederdörfli area in Zurich for a baroque styled coffeshop. The service was great and their coffee was delicious. Do keep in mind that they do not offer any lactose free alternatives.

One of my favorite restaurants in Zurich's old town. You really get something for your money here! The freshly prepared pasta is highly recommended. If you want to spend a cozy evening with your best half or celebrate your birthday here, this is the place for you. The ambience is very nice. My tip: It's better to reserve early, because on weekends things can get very crowded.

Nice restaurant, nice service and the starter (antipasti platter) was delicious. However, I have rarely eaten such bad pasta. It had no salt or other seasoning and was completely overcooked - a real mush.

This restaurant is really highly recommended!! When we made the reservation, the service was super friendly and very accommodating. When we were there today, the first impression was even exceeded. The food was outstanding and the service was better, the whole staff was just great! That was the first and definitely not the last time. Without kidding, the most pleasant restaurant visit I've ever had 6 stars!

Came here on a Monday night for dinner. Not too busy on weekdays but definitely make a reservation beforehand if you plan to come here on the weekends. Restaurant is very pretty inside out, love the interior!! Staffs were a little bit rude tho… Food was nice and they do offer nice drinks too! We ordered: Gnochii with tomato sauce & parmesan (7/10) Aglio olio with prawns (9/10) Taglierini al Tartufo (7/10) French fries (10/10) Aperol spritz (8/10) Nice place to hang out with friends, but the staffs could improve their attitude so customers will be happier when visiting.

Love the ambiance of this italian restaurant! That’s what draw me to eat here in the first place, and they did not disappoint! The interior is very warm and clean. Perfect if you’re having a date or just a dinner with your family. Perfect for special ocassion or just a casual night out with friends. They have a cool wine dispenser too! All the drinks were amazing. The dishes were all tasty too! I’ll add their names to the pics attached. The price was also fair. It costed around 140 CHF for 4 people. I ordered 3 main dishes, 1 sides, 4 drinks. I didn’t give them a 5 star because they changed the menu. I was actually planning to order something else when they told me that they changed the menu. 😢 Overall it was a good experience. Will definitely come back here on my next visit to Zurich 😊

Without a doubt, one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in Zurich. I went with 2 friends and we had the 79 CHF / person 4 course menu on NYE. - Staff was extremely rude and slow - We ordered the entrecote for the main course, they did not even ask how we would like the meat to be cooked (the entrecote came back medium). Portion was absolutely tiny, ended up having to share a 200g steak between two people as a main. - Tiramisu was god awful and stale For 79 CHF, this place is a straight ripoff and you are better off gong to Santa Lucia down the street for half the price.

Cuisine, homemade, seasonal, very pleasant surprise for the palate, the staff is adorable. I will come back when I pass, without hesitation
