Viadukt in Zürich

Viadukt is located under a railway and beside a beautiful park. The venue was very nicely decorated and comfortable to have dinner in. The waiters were very friendly and attentive to our needs. My only complaint was that the rice of the chicken dish was a little salty. However, the fish dish was delicious. I highly recommend a visit to this restaurant to satisfy your craving for a Swiss meal.

Relaxed, friendly, not the usual Zurich hype. Very nice food for relatively reasonable prices (it's still Switzerland if you know what I mean). Socially responsible in the best way I've experienced so far.

The place is amazing and the atmosphere is very friendly, Michella was so welcoming and cheerful, I got Kalbssteak and it was really delicious. Enjoyed every minute and had the best service ever.

Very fine food with reasonable prices and a very cozy atmosphere. The waiters are not too hasty, and this stands out in a positive way. A cozy atmosphere prevails. They look and come at the right moment and in no way disrupt the conversations. The food was excellent, both in taste and presentation. We had cordon bleu and ravioli. For dessert, the chocolate cake and the wine pear. A knife would have been more suitable for eating the wine pear alone. We'd love to come back.

Food was very delicious and fresh, and the staff were beyond kind!! I'd recommend it all -- we had the winter greens salad, veal cutlet, and winter bratwurst. So good!! My family and I got dropped off by Uber in absolutely the wrong location, we got lost on the walk over, and were late for our reservation. They were very kind about it and thankfully there was space for us available. They brought a lovely cake for my Mom's birthday and everything was just delightful. Thanks to the staff for a wonderful meal and a really lovely dinner experience! Side note: the attention to detail in the dishes is so nice! It's lovely presentation and notes without being over the top of showy for the sake of it (see picture...it was from the birthday cake plate, not the mousse which you see in the background.)

Food is very good, service is super friendly. Relaxed atmosphere, in summer there is a wonderful garden restaurant.

A nice enough place to have a quick meal in this Zurich area.

The service is terrible. The food is nothing special. The waitress could see that we wanted to seat in a table specifically because it had space for the stroller in which one of our sons was sleeping. She came and started to yell above the stroller and to pull chairs and table. We told her there was no need and that as she could see our baby was sleeping, and that we could re organise the table ourselves to make space for more people but she didn’t care, all she wanted was showing her rage simply because we are a family and had a stroller. There was no line, no people waiting for a table, actually as we were having breakfast the restaurant emptied, so there was no reason to react like that. If they want that people explicitly ask to be seated then put a sign that says so and have someone available to ask because before we seated I was waiting for several minutes to ask but no waiter/waitress paid attention. The pancakes were burnt. The juice is not fresh. There aren’t many options in the menu.

Nice selection of lunch menus. Approximately CHF 22-24 per menu. Quality of the food was top notch.

Nice food but extremely small portions. As an example, in the Viadukt breakfast they serve HALF pancake. I wonder what they do with the other half, do they throw it away?

The stairs smell of urine. When he tries to sit down there are cigarette butts and ash residue. There are few trash cans. There are always writings and posters on the walls.

I like the social aspects of what the Viadukt stands for and have always been impressed by their unusual dishes - certainly not standard restaurant fare - and a menu that changes every season. I was there with my daughter, and we both loved the atmosphere - it was Friday and packed - the friendly service and the food. Happy to go again anytime.

Love this restaurant - the menu is never the same and they support a social cause. If it’s brunch, lunch or dinner you won’t be disappointed. Service is friendly and you never have to wait too long for your meal. Prices are more than fair for Zurich standards

Service very good. Local also good. Kitchen leaves a lot to be desired. Tough veal bread, tartare without any taste. Spices were definitely forgotten. A pity

Enclosed food stalls beneath the arches of a viaduct would be familiar to people who know London, UK.

That blueberry pancake (you get 1) was terrible, and it was swimming in maple syrup. Literally, it was served in a bowl, not a plate, in what looked like soup, which was just syrup.

An incredible urban walk, in addition to hundreds of shopping options, it has several places to eat and admire the architecture.

There was no vegan lunch menu, there was only a small salad with Italian sauce and a small bouillon soup. Nothing special and too expensive for the small portion.

Actually a nice restaurant. The tempeh main course is a disgrace in terms of price. A mini portion that would barely do justice to an appetizer and leaves the guest hungry. All this for the price of a whopping 30 CHF.

Busy and pleasant restaurant, with interesting vegan options. Well-used terrace with views of the park. The attentive service and well-tasted dishes... They make you forget that a train passes over your head from time to time...

It was a great lunch... The lamb was great and the quiche also only my friedrice was a bit light with few vegetables and I like it when the rice still has a bit of a bite. Even if you always use rice from the day before, it doesn't feel that good in the mouth... a bit sticky... But well seasoned... a little lime juice would have been cool and chopped caramelized peanuts and chili for the texture... But the homemade iced tea was great mega good . Thank you🤗🤗 it would have been cool to be able to try something from the a la carte but then I'll come in the evening 💪🤗

A restaurant of a special kind, food is cheap by Swiss standards, but not for everyone, but the great quality and the ambience with a very friendly staff I can absolutely recommend it. High quality standard is a must here. Highly recommended. A big thank you to the chef

Seasonal, varied and tasty dishes, good size portions (not so small portions), very good quality products. The staff always make an effort and are very friendly - a great integration project. The location in the viaduct is great and outside you are in the middle of the beautiful seating area right in the lively district and the Josefswiese. Definitely my favorite restaurant in the area - we've never had a bad meal here :-))

Cozy restaurant with a large outdoor area. Easy to reach by public transport. Very tasty summer cocktails. Fantastic appetizers. Main courses were very tasty, unfortunately the meat was a bit dry. Very friendly staff. Higher price range.

Lunch at the Viaduct this week. A plate of lukewarm penne with grated cheese and some greens on top. A far cry from Pasta Cacio e Pepe, which it should have been according to the menu.

Food was far too little for the price. In addition, coffee is not included in the menu… difficult to understand at a price of 24.- I wouldn't recommend it

It's a shame you couldn't sit outside yet... but that didn't dampen my enthusiasm. The staff was very friendly and immediately explained the lunch menu with all the allergy information. Rarely seen! But the learner who looked after us for most of the things did a great job. Congratulations! Food very fine, salad varied, soup too. Bread is fantastic. Main course top quality. And all for a reasonable price! Unfortunately there wasn't enough time for dessert... I'm looking forward to eating here next time.

Went there with our 3 kids. The staff was very nice and welcoming. The place is stunning below the stone roof!!! Food is very good with a great selection of veggie dishes seriously tasting !!!

Very disappointed 😞 We were looking forward to a good brunch/lunch option on a special occasion and what we got was snack portions and half an egg for an omelette for their special menu ! I think they ran out of food because it was really busy so everyone got half portions of what they ordered ! Pricey afternoon for hungry patrons !

Initially it seemed there wasn't too much interest in seating us but once we were seated we found a friendly welcome in a nice environment. The food very tasty. We tried the roast and the vegetarian dish.

The restaurant had a quiet ambience, clean inside, staff was friendly and competent. Unfortunately, the food wasn't quite as convincing. The soup of the day was bland. Could have been seasoned better. The pasta was al dente, but some of the vegetables were still raw. However, the price was okay.

My husband and I had an exceptionally lovely time for dinner at viadukt. The ambiance is extremely cozy, the staff was super friendly and the food was phenomenal! It’s a modern take on Swiss food and that’s exactly what we were looking for. It’s a bit silly to me that people give less stars because of price - it’s Zürich! One of most expensive places in the world. I felt like the food prepared and provided was well worth the price we paid - esp for Zürich.

Everything was just right here! Very pleasant atmosphere and wonderful food. My wife had an autumnal vegetable plate with lots of spaetzli and I had a saddle of venison that was just perfect and tender as butter. Definitely a recommendation!

Beautiful place to have a coffee. However, poor service. Received the wrong milk (ordered oat milk). Then I accidentally emptied my latte macchiato and no one helped me, I had to clean it myself......then I wasn't even asked if I wanted a new one......
