After the ride with the Funicolare up to Monte Bré, we stopped here. The children ate ice cream from the large selection (popsicles) and we parents drank a white wine or Campari Spitz and enjoyed the phenomenal view. We didn't eat anything here because we had reserved a table in the Grotto Castagneto in the village of Bré.

It is the only restaurant at the top of Mount Bre, so there isn’t anywhere else to go for a snack and a cold drink on a warm day. The service was really slow and the food was ok. Some of the seats are actually broken but they don’t seem bothered about it. The lack of competition (them being the only restaurant) really shows, which is a petty.

On a windy and cold day they didn't let us sit inside (with a one year old), exaggerated prices for what we eat, satisfactory service but nothing special. It looks more like a kiosk rather than a tavern. The view is beautiful but then there is nothing else to do at the top other than a walk.

Conveniently located near the funicolare’s stations and with an amazing view. The food options are rather limited. We wanted to order the lasagne but when we arrived they have run out so we opted for the gnocchi with bolognese sauce. The gnocchi had almost no minced meet and the red sauce wasn’t tasty as well, luckily there was enough parmesan cheese which brought the whole meal to a satisfactory state. Concluding the obvious, this isn’t a place to get the unforgettable meal, but rather an amazing view :)))
