Papa Joe's in Zürich

The water is super expensive and doesn’t appear on the menu. Makes you think the water is free, but costs more than any other soft drink.

Food is good especially the vegetarian burger, chicken wings, onion rings and nachos!

This is by FAR one of the best food places ive been to in Zurich. All the dishes are full of flavor and the staff are also very nice. The ribs were phenomenal and everything else was also perfect. The frozen margaritas are A MUST. The interior design is very nice but, it was summer and we sat inside and it was SO hot that we couldn’t enjoy our food 100%.

Unfortunately the quality of the food has deteriorated greatly. Back then, we enjoyed going to Papa Joe's often. Unfortunately, we will avoid this in the future.

Unfortunately, I couldn't let yesterday's experience rest overnight... We waited at the entrance for 10 minutes until we were served. Then another 10 minutes until the table was free, unfortunately that's not the worst of all the things, the worst was definitely the food! Spare rips come COLD after 30min wait???? When I asked the waiters about it they just said “a lot to do” I’m sorry but that’s where staff is supposed to be! Conclusion of the story: After eating I had a stomach ache and had to leave my colleague's birthday party because I felt so bad! A day later, my stomach pain has unfortunately still not gone away... PAPA JOE'S NEVER AGAIN!!!

Ordered a medium rare steak with a salad instead of fries. Got a well done steak with fries. Requested a change - got a salad, with still a well done steak. I requested another change and this time I was served raw, cold steak - is it even safe to eat? Absolutely terrible service. Horrible food. 40 CHF for a meal I could not eat. Avoid at all costs

unconvincing lukewarm burger taste moderate

We went for a burger a hot pancake and a ben & jerry's ice cream. We waited 50 minutes for 3 things. After 50 minutes of an unsatified wait we got a rock hard ice cream, a second hard rock ice cream even though we orderd a hot pancake and an awful burger. So then we asked for our hot pancakes and 5 minutes later the waiter brings us two cold pancakes. We were very hungry so we ate the burger and half of the ice cream paid and left. Unfortunateley we did not have a good experience.

Mohammad gave it his all today, with the restaurant almost full. He was solely responsible for service and kept an overview in every situation and, above all, his cheerful and attentive manner. Keep it up. 👏

It just is what it is. Cool place to consume fast food in a friendly atmosphere. However, the prices are high for the quality offered, even by Zurich standards.

Staff very friendly, food was not good! Was very disappointed

The spare ribs were ok, had a good bite, the honey sauce was uninspiring. Generally very generous portions, just right for hungry teenagers. The prices are very reasonable, and you can also get a good glass of wine for under 8 francs. The service was very friendly and quick. The interior is a fun mix of everything you can imagine from Texmex and Louisiana. The music selection is particularly good. However, this is more to the taste of the young-at-heart Boomers at the table than today's young generation.

The food was delicious as usual but today we had the pleasure of enjoying a very special treat. Randerson's service was worth mentioning as it was truly out of the ordinary. I rarely remember having enjoyed this kindness, this level of attention to every detail and hospitality. Big thanks to you Randerson. I look forward to our next visit, hoping you would take care of us again.

It's wonderful, the staff is lovely, the place is beautifully decorated, the food is delicious and the prices are quite reasonable for Zürich. The cocktails and mocktails are delicious and the bar downstairs is great. There are several members of staff who speak Spanish. As an additional point, they have WiFi.

Very very slow service and long wait for food. Most things frozen products that are fried. Only the fajitas and the ingredients made a fresh impression. The burger is dripping with grease and the fries are soggy. Papa Joe's always comments that the prices are reasonable for Zurich. That may be true, but they are not adequate for what you get.

Unfortunately we had very unpleasant experiences in our PJ today. - We (2 people) were at the restaurant at 11:55 a.m - At the time the food was ordered (12.05 p.m.) there were a total of 9 guests in the restaurant - Unfortunately the waiting time was terrible - our food wasn't brought until 1 p.m. - we wondered how long it would take once the restaurant was full... - My ribs were okay, but unfortunately the sauce was very dominant and completely masked the taste of the meat - The meat of the burger (beef loin fillet) was already past the shoe-sole stage in terms of cooking level and was therefore as tough as leather and inedible. - When we asked for a conversation with the boss, neither the boss nor his deputy could be put in touch with us - someone from the staff took up our negative points and promised to pass them on to the boss. This unfortunately results in a very bad impression of this restaurant. From previous visits I know that the quality is better and faster.

I eat at Papa Joe's every now and then. This time, however, the service wasn't particularly attentive. Ordered fajitas for 2 people and got the same amount of sauce as for 1 person. It's almost impossible to reorder if the service never comes. EVERYTHING food was ok. Since I couldn't eat everything, I had my leftovers packed up. At home the next day, while preparing it, I was shocked to see that it wasn't just leftover fajitas from us. Fries, SNACKED nachos, etc. We didn't have fries or nachos that evening. I asked for an opinion and have not received an answer to date. I expect a certain level of hygiene from a restaurant! Above all, we left around 100.- lying around Not exactly cheap food for what you get

Place was great… for someone who like tex mex but not for Mexican Mexican.. place has vibes of south of the USA.. I am sure if you are American you will feel home with this.

Due to the waitress's language difficulties, the ordering process took a long time. Although one of the burgers was ordered only with meat and cheese and specifically without fried onions, we got the burger with fried onions. She even wrote it down on a piece of paper. The place was half full. Nevertheless, we didn't get the burger as ordered. A new burger then had to be prepared, which only came when one of us had finished eating. The bill was 74 CHF for 2 burgers with fries and 2 drinks. For this price you are well served everywhere else in Zurich.

The service was extremely courteous and the food turned out to be very tasty. We even received a delicious brownie with a sparkling sparkler as a special birthday gift.

Avoid at all costs. It is rare that I don’t finish a plate I had to do so twice here. After an unjustified 45 minute wait, in the restaurant that wasn’t even close to capacity, one of their specialties the chicken potato finally arrived with the potato undercooked, the chicken overcooked and everything drenched in Béchamel sauce and cheap Tex-Mex cheese. The dessert wasn’t any better their red velvet cheesecake was hard as a rock tasted like it was days old and the cheese was expired and sour. The lemons in the drinks were also in there fridge for at least a month. The final nail in the coffin was the lollipop that they gave after the bill, it tasted like it was from the 20th century. This is the first Tex-Mex place that didn’t sell margaritas. The decor was overwhelming and cluttering with random images that had nothing to do with Mexican or Texan culture. In conclusion: terrible overpriced food, long waiting times and unfitting and distracting decor. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!

As an American traveling we wanted to try the food. The theme is 100% accurate! I loved all of the decor and the gallery walls! The hamburger was delicious and way better than in America. The Cesar salad was the best one I have ever had. It was filled with Parmesan and real bacon! It was a delightful experience, thank you so much for a fun twist on American food!

A great place to go as a family, with your child or alone. The food is very delicious. When you step through the door, it's obvious you've arrived at Texas Mexican cuisine. The interior decoration and the music playing are enjoyable. We had a great time with my wife and daughter. There is a high chair. The waiters are polite and attentive. Since it was our first time trying it, I wanted to try the combo special. The Rib was cooked just right and the ingredients that came with it were delicious. It was a very enjoyable plate that I will remember. The cheeseburger was delicious, but not amazingly so. In general, visit PapaJoes's, a Texas Mexican cuisine restaurant located in the center of Zurich, which is a must-try.

We had a great time at Papa Joe’s, the food was good and abundant and the service was specially remarkable. Marta was our waitress and thanks to her we had a great experience. American bar food: we call it feel-good food because the whole family is in a good mood when we eat here. The food is delicious, the service is attentive and the restaurant is well organized. If you ever need burgers, fajitas and spare ribs, this is the place to do it.
