Went there for my wife's birthday. We had the Potager course menu. The crew was nice enough to veganise the course menu with wine pairing and offer a birthday cake for us.

Pavillon, the Baur au Lac Hotel's two-Michelin-starred restaurant, is without a doubt one of the finest dining experiences of my life. Upon your arrival, you are immediately met with impeccable service and an inviting ambiance. The views from the restaurant's elegant dining room, which is situated in a rotunda and overlooks Lake Zurich, are simply breathtaking. Pavillon serves truly exceptional cuisine. The menu features an assortment of contemporary interpretations of traditional Swiss fare, and each ingredient is of the utmost quality. I began my meal with the perfectly cooked and seasoned seared scallops with cauliflower purée and black truffle. I consumed the roasted rack of lamb accompanied by rosemary jus and spring vegetables for my main course. The lamb was flavorful and tender, and the vegetables were perfectly cooked. Additionally noteworthy is the impressive wine list at Pavillon, where the sommelier assisted me in selecting the ideal wine to complement my meal. The 2016 Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Romanée-Saint-Vivant Grand Cru that I sipped was utterly delectable. I finished my meal with the chocolate mousse with raspberry sorbet, which was an indulgent and delectable dessert. The mousse was opulent and creamy, while the sorbet was exquisitely refreshing and sour. In its entirety, my dining experience at Pavillon was exemplary. This establishment provided an exceptionally memorable dining experience for all patrons; the food, service, and ambiance were all of the utmost quality.

One of the best restaurants in Zurich, has been there several times, always perfect from the service to the food and of course the great wine list. Ideal for business lunches as well as private ones, you can even bring children with you. The staff is unique. Sure, it's not cheap, but the value for money is perfectly fine. Keep it up!

Excellent food and service. Too bad that the appetizers are presented as the jewels in the crown (Our magnificent olives, our fantastic bricelets etc...) and that children are accepted, we spent 3 hours next to a crying baby.

Went to dinner at Pavillon a a week or so ago, and wow, it was the best dinner we have ever had. It beat out previous Michelin restaurants we have eaten at before. The service was the usual expected top-notch from a Michelin star restaurant, but they did a great job noticing the pace we were eating at and when to approach the table. The space of the restaurant was fantastic, not too loud, but not too quiet, and you had plenty of space between guests. The food is what pushed Pavillon to perfection. Of the 9 courses we had, there was not a single course we would have changed, not even a minor detail (still thinking about the John Dory Beurre Blanc – Razor Clam – Chives dish, it was the best dish I have ever had). If you consider coming here, you must get the Harmonie (9 course) meal. Another bonus, unlike many other Michelin restaurants, you can order individual glasses of wine (as opposed to bottles only or only wine pairings) from a very extensive wine list. Could not recommend a better place to eat and experience, you will not regret coming here.

The food is fantastic. I never wanted sweet breads, but they made it taste amazing. The Swiss wine pairing is great, an absolute must. The service is wonderful, as expected. Truly a great setting for a wonderful meal.

I ended my trip to Switzerland with one of the finest at Pavilion. Located in the historical Baur au Lac Hotel on lake Zurich. This place is classy and swanky, may be a little flashy. Classic decor with a modern touch. High celiengs, big chandeliers, large windows, purple chairs and big colorful flowers bouquets elegantly welcome the guests & sets the mood to indulge in a Chef tasting menu with some modern twists and Swiss influences. Service here is professional and warm, staff was nice and attentive. Food courses were all on point, presented well and exceptionally tasty. Desserts were the cherry on the top and what you exactly expect from the French influenced cuisine. Wine pairing enhanced the flavors and heightened the experience. Overall, I left content and satisfied. Looking forward for another visit.

This is a very intimate and elegant place in Zurich with great views of the lake. The tasting menu was a great choice - tons of modern french dishes including caviar, veal and fish. Plates are extremely creative, colorful and visually appealing. Lastly, the service was top notch. A must try if you want a special, two Michelin star dinner in Zurich!

What a great place in Zurich. Super atmosphere paired with great service. The food is outstanding especially the desserts. And the wine card is outstanding with many top rare to find wines. We are hard to find elsewhere as a table. Bookings required and best well ahead due to the limited space and demand. We enjoyed once more our evening.

Great french inspired cuisine in a sophisticated atmosphere. The service alone is worth the visit, everyone is extremely polite, friendly and professional. The 9 course tasting menu is worth trying, but beware the wine pairing: the wines are excellent, but don't order it unless you can drink a lot! The small chocolates at the end were incredible. Overall, it was the perfect place to celebrate!

A really hip place to hangout, nice summer terrace. Food is good. The staff are friendly but I had to wait for a long time for the wine (she forgot the order). Seems like they’re understaff. But really a nice place to meet friends and enjoy the summer weather under the shade of the trees.

We had our anniversary dinner here. The food was excellent, friendly service, the decor was soft and warm. The team also got us a small cake and a platter of bite sized desserts complimentary for our anniversary. The whole experience was so positive. Loved it! Highly recommended:)

Incredible 9 course menu, accompanied by 7 well selected swiss wines. Maybe a bit too much alcohol blinding our senses, towards the last 2-3 dishes, but definitely worth the experience.

We were lucky enough to visit while the theme of the tasting menu was truffles: every dish had either a hint, a shape or was inspired by truffles. Everything was out of this world. By the end of the experience, we were full and extremely happy. The wine pairings were brilliant and we got explained each of them what we should expect and a little bit of details about the wine and why it’s paired that way. Everything was amazing, it is very pricy but it is worth as an experience. We were treated so well all of our evening.

The dinner was excellent!!! The service is competent, friendly and attentive. The fantastic bouquet of flowers in the middle of the pavilion was once again an eye-catcher, and the Christmas decorations also contributed to a perfect stay. Also a big compliment to the fleet staff, who were very friendly and helpful despite the hectic pace.

Very nice atmosphere and a very well trained staff. First and foremost, I wanted to see whether Baur au Lac also had contemporary menus (vegan or vegetarian). The point deduction is due to the fact that Baur au Lac describes itself as classic and has not yet jumped on the trend. If you want vegan or vegetarian food, you are much better off at Hiltl.

I am allergic to wheat/gluten(anaphylactic), dairy, egg, nuts(all but almonds and pecan), sesame, mustard, chickpeas & sunflower seeds. This restaurant, it’s waiters and chefs truly took great care of me during my wonderful time enjoying its 7 course meal. Since my dietary restrictions do not allow me to have the usual menu the chefs went as far as to create completely new and amazing dishes just for me. It must have been very challenging, but I am really grateful for all of their hard work. I will never forget this wonderful night. A 100/10 experience.

We really enjoy going there, for us it is one of the top places to be in Zurich!! It's a bit like a vacation at home. Most of the time we are almost the only guests here. The others are mostly hotel guests. We recommend everyone to go there!

We had our wedding anniversary dinner last night and true to all the reviews this was a 💯 fantastic experience. We've been to a few michelin star restaurants but this is quite simply THE best. We had nine course with wine pairing. Every single course was better than the next. In the future though we may have less wine as by the end of the night we got too giggly, a little bit loud and dizzy for our own good!! 😄😂 The service is also truly next level. The staff were incredibly attentive and consider things to make your experience better (even before you thought of it). This is Swiss hospitality at It's finest. One can never go wrong at Baur au lac. Compliments to the entire staff for making this experience wonderful. They are extremely professional and warm at the same time. We will be back! 40 minutes between each course is ridiculous

We came here for our anniversary dinner and it was everything we hoped it would be, and more. I wanted to know the difference between one star Michelin and two stars - and the differences are notable. The food is more elevated, more creative and delicious, and the wine pairings are perfection. We had the nine course menu with wine pairing - the price is worth every penny. Next time, though, we’ll choose less as it was quite a lot of food and drinking more than one bottle of wine per person was a bit much 😂 The staff pays so much attention to every detail and ensures your visit is special. Even when I went to the washroom, I was welcomed back and seated with a new napkin. Thank you for making our anniversary so special. We hope to come again soon.

Dies darf in einem solchen Haus nicht sein. Und wenn somit bei einem derart hohen Menu-Preis nicht alles stimmt, kommt schlussendlich etwas Enttäuschung auf. Speziell auch, wenn ich an vergleichbare Lokale denken, welche wir im vergangenen Jahr noch besucht hatten, wie z.B. The Restaurant im Dolder, das Cheval Blanc in Basel, Ann Sophie Pic in Lausanne oder das Memories in Bad Ragaz. Wir werden jederzeit wieder gerne im Baur au Lac übernachten, aber beim Pavillon belassen wir es bei diesem einen Mal.
