Pizza Routier Express in Lac Léman (VD)

Pizza was okay, but not made fresh. Bathrooms and seats were dirty. Also the one worker there was not very nice and was forceful, even though we were the only customers.

Expensive, food regular and common, no glasses, service poor.

Were there today without a reservation with a group of 20 people with disabilities, warmly received, very fast service and it was tasty. Price/performance was also right. gladly again 👍🏼

We live in Chernex, above Montreux. Almost every Sunday we walk 8 km to town. Most of the time we then end up here at the restaurant. Most of the time we order a plate of kebab with chicken. The service is friendly, because they know us now. We can only recommend it and the prices are fair.

The dishes are very delicious and large And the margaritas are delicious

We had the mix grill and it was fantastic! Spices and salt level was on point. We did wish they had turkish chai all day, they weren't serving it anymore when we were there around 2:30 pm.

The food seems to be very good. On the other hand, bad surprise on delivery. We inform you that the prices delivered do not correspond to the prices displayed on the menu photos. A little surprised, you call to ask for explanations on the difference between the displayed prices, and you are told: it's the same everywhere, the prices displayed are only on site... delivered it's 13 francs instead of 10 francs per kebab and 12frs instead of 8frs for a large portion of fries. So no ma’am! I'm just surprised and not dishonest! And no, my order was not intended to try to rip you off, to eat for free, as you so kindly implied! On the other hand, if for an order of 2 kebabs and 1 large fries to be delivered to the same address, I pay an increase of 10 francs on delivery, and therefore, for 6 kebabs and 3 fries for the same address... that's fine for me. would cost 30 francs delivery costs?

My lamb skewer was worse than rubber, I was surprised by the speed of the service so I imagined I would receive it. my meat tender as usual instead I had pieces of tire probably reheated at the price we pay it's really alarming, serving me like this even though I supported them during the pandemic. chf21 very poorly digested.

Alle Restaurants in Montreux scheinen etwa 30 - 40% mehr zu sein als ein vergleichbares englisches. Dieses Restaurant sieht aus wie ein Café, bietet aber gutes Essen. Kebabs, Pizzen und vieles mehr zu einem realistischen Preis ist einen Besuch wert.

Wir sind über diesen Ort zufällig auf der Suche nach einem späten Mittagessen. Split 'Pizza Orient' zwischen uns zwei. Es hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Prominente Golfklientel war sichtbar.

Casi no fuimos aquí porque desde afuera parecía un lugar para llevar pizza. Pero después de un día de caminata, queríamos un lugar cerca de nuestro hotel. La comida era genial, tuve el Cordon Bleu, que venía con una muy buena ensalada y patatas fritas. Disfrutamos de la comida y el precio razonable, así que volvimos por segunda vez y pizza con una ensalada mixta, que también era muy bueno. El propietario amable nos recordó desde nuestra primera visita. Altamente recomendado.

If you are looking for a chip shop in Montreux like in Germany, you will find it here. Well at least almost. Because you rarely see this politeness and friendliness in a chip shop in Germany. We were served by an older gentleman who immediately started talking to us and didn't just ask what we wanted. We didn't even have to wait 10 minutes for the food and the portions were really generous. The kebab plate with fries and salad was an extra-large challenge and super tasty. No Italian restaurant makes pizzas better. In the end we got rid of 70 CHF for 3 people, but those are the prices and you know that when you come to Montreux.

Ich kam hier für ein Mittagessen mit einem Freund und es ist ein sauberes und schönes Hotel mit toller Portionsgröße und erschwinglichen Preisen. Geschmack und Ambiente waren in Ordnung mit freundlichem Personal. Wer nicht viel für Essen ausgeben möchte, sollte dies versuchen.

Ce restaurant ne paie vraiment pas de mine. Le service laisse à désirer et la qualité des plats plus que déprimant.Les Pizzas sont loins d'êtres excellentes, Si je ne me trompe ils utilisent du double concentré de tomate comme sauce tomate. Autant vous dire que si vous ne cuiser pas assez du concentré de tomate, votre plat sera acide au possible. Vraiment déçu!Pour les Kebabs, cela reste des Kebabs. Le pain n'est pas fait maison, ni tout le reste d'ailleurs. Ok les prix y sont bon marché, mais quand même faut pas abusé sur la qualité.Je vous déconseille vivement cet établissement.

For a quick dish... The advantage is its location

Bon, ce n'est pas le restaurant typiquement suisse, ça va de soi. Mais on y mange très bien et surtout pour un prix très très raisonnable et vu les prix du pays, on apprécie! De plus il y a un grand choix, c'est très copieux et il y a le wifi!

It was around 10:30 pm and I was pretty hungry (staying in Eurotel Hotel just across the road) and came here for a takeaway kebab Doner box (they had chicken chicken as well) I am having this doner box as I'm typing this review and this stuff is the real deal, very good portion for only 10 CHF , I would highly recommend this place.

So this is your typical pizza/kebab place, the food is nothing special, there are a lot better in Montreux for the same price, but not in front of the lake.... You should avoid this place during heavy party's near by since it will be packed and the service tend to be sluggish

Before heading to Montreux, Switzerland for a short holiday, we read several warnings from travel blogs and tour books that the central European country is an expensive place to live and travel. Having survived a week along the beautiful shore of Lake Geneva, I can attest that the Swiss fiscal alarms sounded by fellow travel advisors are correct, perhaps even a bit understated. At the current exchange rate (Oct. 2013) one Swiss Franc (designated as “CHF”) costs $1.11, which, at first glance does not seem bad. But that illusion of reasonable value disappears as soon as you look at the menus of the cafes and restaurants that line the busy streets of this city that is world renowned for its love of jazz music. For example, a special plate lunch of simple Chinese food - one dish served over a bed of rice - is advertised at 16 CHF ($17.76), while a lunch menu special that includes soup and small dessert goes for 24 CHF ($26.64). Then tack on at least another 5 CHF ($5.55) for a drink and a lunch for two can easily top $50. That total can quickly double if you sit down at an upscale lunch location and double again when the establishments roll out their dinner menus.During a recent morning stroll that included a visit to the Freddie Mercury statue and window shopping along Grand Rue, my trio of travelers (small child, wife and I) passed by several eateries whose menus showed food prices we Americans normally only see at airports and amusement parks. We were walking toward our hotel room to make lunch with the loaf of bread and jar of peanut butter we had brought with us when we passed by Pizza Routier Express, located at Grand Rue 76. Our seven-year-old stopped walking when he sniffed the scent of baking pizza wafting out of the small café’s open door. I agreed with his assessment that it smelled inviting and stepped inside to check the menu board. After the sticker shock of some of the other menus we had seen, the prices of the offerings at Pizza Routier Express seemed within reason. We ordered the pizza Margharita (11 CHF/$12.21), a lamb kebab sandwich (9CHF/$9.99) and half-liter bottle of soda (4CHF/$4.44) or a total of 24CHF or $26.64.The pizza was expertly made with just the right ratio of sauce and cheese to please a youngster who is way too discerning about what he eats. But the kebab sandwich was the star of the meal. It was a generous pile of shaved lamb meat stuffed into a freshly-baked roll and garnished with salad and tzatziki sauce.The service was excellent, starting with the lady at the order counter who smiled at my butchering of French and instantly switched to English. The café does not have a sophisticated atmosphere.A small group of regulars were gathered in the back corner near two video games, enjoying coffee and conversation with each other and the workers behind the counter.The view from sidewalk tables is not particularly picturesque but it does offer a pleasant view of the lake in between vehicles passing on the street.We revisited the Pizza Routier Express a couple of days after our initial try and found the second experience to be just as good as the first. We went for the lamb kebab sandwich again, only this time ordering two to prevent arguments over who got the last bite of a shared one. The littlest member of the group branched out and tried the “Assiette Nugget” plate (14CHF/$15.54) that included a dozen pieces of actual chicken breast and French fries. Again, all of the food tasted great and the service was friendly.Pizza Routier Express will not win any awards for haute cuisine or romantic ambience, but that’s not the niche it is trying to fill. It simply serves up great food that hungry travelers can use to fuel their Swiss adventures. In the hyper-expensive landscape of Montreux eateries, this place qualifies as a bona fide bargain. Pizza Routier Express is located at the end of a short strip of shops at Grand Rue 76, Montreux, Switzerland 1820. It is about 30 meters north of the “Escaliers de la Gare” bus stop along the 201 bus line that runs through Montreux, between Vevey and Villeneuve. It is about 500 meters north of the Montreux marketplace, where the Freddie Mercury statue stands.
