Pizzeria Angolo Italiano in Basel

We were in the restaurant with a group of about 10 people. The new owner only took over at the beginning of November. The food was good. I gave 5 stars for the food, even though it wasn't top class, but totally authentic. Just like the restaurant itself. You feel a bit transported to Italy. The waiter who helped serve seemed quite inexperienced. But he managed everything perfectly with his super friendly and natural manner. If you're looking for chichi, the pizzeria is the wrong place. If you want to spend a cool evening with good food, you should go. I liked it very much.

Original, simple Italian restaurant, lots of Italian guests playing cards. Fine, typical dishes.

Note: Cash only. But the pizza is delicious, the mood in the evening is nice, older men are playing cards at the tables. A bit like The Sopranos. Plus good beer and low noise level, perfect for conversation at the table.

Excellent food - great lunch deals with salad and dessert, three different menus every day. Pasta dishes are freshly made and pizzas are excellent even in the evening! Very friendly service!

Truly excellent cuisine! I have been to this place several times. Very clean and tidy place, fair prices and excellent welcome. Really excellent pizza, full of quality toppings, more than friendly staff! Definitely try the pizzas and especially the sausage and chips sandwiches, truly unique, it feels like being in Italy! Wow, I ordered Angelo's pizza from Eat.ch yesterday and was impressed. The dough was nice and crispy, the tomato sauce reminded me of Italy. Super fine!! Really, I've tried many pizzerias but this one is the best pizza next to La Margherita in Basel. Big compliment. I'll be back.

Optimal!!! An excellent leavened and very well made pizza, very light and very digestible, furthermore the excellent quality raw material makes the pizza exceptional. The service was friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back!

I had dinner here with colleagues on November 14th. We had to wait 1 hour for food. The basil on the pizza was missing even though it is on the menu.

We are very pleased with this pizzeria ... because not only the employees but also the owner are very keen to make your stay as pleasant as possible ... but the food there is also very good ... . highly recommended.....
